Today had been a good day. For one, the little green cheetah had been able to not snag just one fish, but three. Three fish, that was a good day. Specially since the cheetah wasn't a good fisher. In all honesty her getting the three fish was dumb luck on her part. Who knew she would trip while she was trying to fish, three times, and each time end up with a fish in her mouth. No one complained it seemed though, specially not Pilate.
Two of the three fish had been eaten quickly but not the last one. This was a special gift for her sister. The streak of radioactive green accented the vast brown grassy terrain with her bright color, and today she wasn't even trying to fit in or hide it. Not that she ever really tried to be cautious, just today she was being down right careless as she skipped about. Bobbing up and down and up and down as her head peaked over the grass only to disappear again. Caution might as well be a different language because it was some thing Pilate seemed not to under stand one bit.
Still, she was proud of her fish and flaunted it.

Zoran held his body barely above the ground. As he stalked along the rim of his father's pride, he made no sound and made sure no one could see him. All though his colors stuck out, he found ways to cover himself. The scent of someone that didn't belong in the pride filled Zoran's lungs and he let a quiet growl rumble deep in his chest and he began to look around for the victim.
His tail swayed at an odd rhythm behind him, careful not to hit any of the grass and cause it to whisper. Zoran lifted his head slightly and noticed the bright green color sticking out against the dead grass. With a smirk he began to follow the little creature. As he grew closer, he noticed it was a young cheetah. His head lifted slightly and he looked around for the cheetah's parents. Zoran sighed, not seeing any sign of her parents. His head lifted further then he lazily took a large step forward, his paw landing on the end of her tail. "What are you doing near this pride?" He asked in a harsh, threatening voice.

The cheetah girl's mouth opened in a gasp as she seemingly stopped in motion. The fish flopped onto the dusty floor with an odd splat sound followed by anothers voice. Turning around the cheetah cub found that her tail had been pinned to the ground by a larger feline like creature, something she had never seen before. Pilate did the only logical thing to do when you were stopped by a strange creature, she stared with her bright pink eyes.
She blinked ,"Pride lands?" The cheetah was so unobservant she hadn't realized that the smell had changed and she was nearing potentially dangerous lands.
"Ummm," The cheetah started, a little dumb founded. The words weren't able to be found and she wasn't sure what this odd feline wanted with her. So she continued with a long "ummmm."

Zoran glared at the cheetah for a moment before taking his paw off of her tail then shoving her with the same paw, experimentally. He was unsure what one did with a young feline around. The cubs in the pride simply fought with each other and pretty much tried to kill one another. His purple eyes followed the cheetah's movements for a moment before he sat on the hard ground then glanced at the fish. He had no purpose in taking her fish, so he simply ignored it for the time being.
"Yes... The land of the Bhanu pride. You probably shouldn't be around here by yourself, cub." Zoran's voice had a careless tone and he sighed, wondering what he had gotten himself into.
"Um what?!" He asked, slightly irritated by the long umm the female held out.

Pilate stumbled at the push and turned back, even more surprised that she was pushed. Was he trying to play a game with her? Why hadn't he asked. The cheetah shrugged the hostile advance off. Her eyes were wide and trained on him.
"What are you?" The cheetah finally blurted bluntly. She wasn't much for beating around the bush, getting to the point usually was the fastest way to find things out. Here was a strange feline she had never meet before and she wasn't sure what to make of him. Strange.
"Whats over in the Bhanu lands?" Was another question Pilate blurted , not thinking it through. Pilate wasn't dumb, she was just very naive. Some may consider her naiveness dumb, though.
The dropped fish flopped a little, it was long since dead, but would seem its nerves were still active in some way.

He watched as she stumbled then turned back to him with her eyes wide on him. The adolescent gave her a curious look then sighed, already growing bored with this cheetah juvenile. His leopard like tail flicked behind him slowly.
"I'm a leopon." Zoran said simply, figuring that this cheetah didn't get out much or her parents didn't teach her a single thing. His purple eyes watched the cheetah's movements. He wasn't used to being around someone younger than him. Usually Zoran ignored the cubs in the pride he was in.
"It is a pride full of felines that are simply out to attack you." He knew a small pawful of felines that wouldn't dare hurt another feline, but most of them were harsh and cruel.
His eyes shifted from the cheetah to the fish then back at the cheetah.

"Out to attack me?" Pilate looked like a light bulb had just gone off in her head, "Why would a whole pride of felines be after me?" She took a generous step towards Zoran, eying him up and down.
Was this leopon out to get her too? Or was he just a passing stranger waiting here for her to come so that he could warn her. No, that just seemed stupid the more she thought about it. Something was off and she didn't like it one bit. This leopon didn't look like he was here to help at least.
"I think thats just silly, a whole pride out to attack me? Are you making this up to scare me?" Her head flopped to the side and her expression intensified some to a more serious face.
((If you want him to bully her around and god mod a little you can. X"D Just no huge wounds that would leave scars.))

Zoran sighed and shook his head. This cub was too naive for her own good. "Because these felines are blood thirsty and cruel. They wouldn't mind hurting a young cub like you."
His tail flicked behind him at its odd little rhythm as his light purple eyes watched the cheetah in front of him. He watched as she took a step towards him then put a paw on her head and pushed her away from him. He was unsure what she was thinking when she took a step towards him, but he didn't want to trust her.
"Why would I make this up to scare you?" He glared at the cheetah for a moment then looked around to see if there were any pride members around. Zoran didn't want to be caught with this little cheetah that they would either kill, scare off, or take in and try to turn evil.
((He doesn't see her as a threat, so he wouldn't attack her. Unless you wanted him to attack her, then that could be arranged.))

The cub was unaware of the danger she was in. It was evident she was in danger but she didn't realize how deeply near she was. The expression on her face now was even more deeply confused.
The paw on her forehead confused her more as did being pushed back. She was sure he wasn't playing games with her now and that he, in an odd way, was trying to be protective. This leopon was the most confusing creature the cheetah had ever met. Still, this was a complex situation the cub was having trouble grasping her paws around.
"Your not trying to scare me? So , your serious?" She had heard of leopards eating lions before so a blood thirsty pride wasnt so far-fetched. "Thanks for the warning then , but umm, why did you warn me? "

Zoran watched the cub's expressions change little by little. It was odd for him to be interacting with another this much. Usually Zoran avoided others and was off by himself being lazy.
Zoran wasn't one to just randomly attack another creature. They usually had to be threatening to the pride or simply annoy him to the point where he wanted to get rid of them in anyway he could. Also, he only attacked adults or adolescents like himself. Younger felines were too weak to cause any trouble to Zoran or the pride members, so he usually didn't hurt them.
"Yes... I am serious." Zoran said in an annoyed voice as he glared at the cheetah. "I am not cold blooded like the rest of them... and you show no threat, so you are useless to me." He said then sighed, watching the cub for a moment.

Pilates looked up at Zoran with a small smile.
"Well, thanks anyways for the warning." She looked down at her fish and nuzzled it over to Zoran. "I may be useless , I suppose, but still am grateful for the kindness, what ever your reasoning is. Take this fish." She nuzzled it once more and took a step back taking a seat.
"So, your scars, did your pack do that to you?" Yup, Pilate wasn't one to beat around the bush. She hadn't really been looking at them before from the shock but now she could clearly see the strips on the whitish leopon.

Kindness... The word seemed to sting the male and he winced ever so slightly at the word. It was something the king of the pride he was in hated and the reasons he had the scars that covered his body. Oh, if the king saw him now there would be more scars added to the male's white fur. Zoran looked at the fish with a disgusted look, then shoved it back to the cub. "You worked hard for it, so keep it for yourself, cub." His tail lashed as he watched the cub's movements. An odd little creature.
"Not the entire pack... just the king." The king who just so happened to be his father, but Zoran was unaware. Oh how he disliked the king and pretty much everything this world had to offer. His family had abandoned him, then the king, Thona, saved him. After getting used to the lands he was beaten brutally by the king himself. The memories flashed in his mind and Zoran growled softly.

Pilate was shocked when the fish was refused by the strange new feline. It clearly showed in her face with her agape mouth. Zoran hadn't refused in a mean way though. Pilate closed her mouth but still a frown was clear on her maw. This one was strange.
"Your king.. I don't understand why anyone would want to beat anyone." The frown stayed but her pink eyes dropped down to the fish and remained there for a long moment. Maybe the stranger had done some great unjustice to the king or put his pack in danger. Pilate was trying to categorize the reason for beating in her brain but even then, none of it made sense to the small innocent juv. She didn't like those scars.

He noted the frown on her face, but tried to ignore it as much as he could. The frown would have brought his king pleasure. His ears twitched slightly as he sighed and flicked his tail slightly. Yes, he was strange but soon he wouldn't be so strange. He would become a trained killer much like his father.
He was only a juv when he was beaten by his king and he too didn't quite understand why he was punished. Now, he understood perfectly but didn't expect this female to understand like he did. "Life just isn't welcoming sometimes," was all he could think of saying at the moment. His attention was on other things, especially on how him and Rhin would possibly overthrow the king. That idea would probably never happen, but he imagined it and couldn't help but smirk softly.

The cheetah tilted her head at that and the frown turned into a confused look. Pilate was still very young and very naive. Believing in the good of others was easy when you hardly came across those that had a taint of something strange to them. She'd met a leopard once who's family ate the bodies of dead lion and hadn't understood that completely.
This was one of those confusing moments.
Her wide bright pink eyes just stared up at Zoran. She would never be able to understand. Finally coming to terms with that she gave the male a half smile , her head still tilted.
"I suppose I still have alot to learn, " The juv bent over to pick up her fish, the gift for her sister originally. She set it down next to her, "I'll be more careful in the future."
