Early years
The best time I've ever had
Waiting around for something bad.

Josh grew up with his Muggle mother and stepfather, which may lead one to believe his real dad was wizard. He went to elementary school and gathered a select group of friends who he kept mostly into his middle school year. His muggle friends are the ones who started him into music, buying him a guitar on one his birthdays from an antique shop nearby. They had a band of four members called Candycane Rebellion. Josh lived in the same house from when he was born until the age of 13, when he was finally sent his Hogwarts letter after a particularly huge explosion of magic (causing his stepdad to go to the hospital). He didn't show any signs of being a wizard before this, and thus started later, being older than most in his year by 2 years. He was sorted into Hufflepuff (which has no relation to yellow and black being his favorite colors, mind you). His muggle friends remained true, but the band was broken up as Josh was away most the year at Hogwarts. Josh had a few relationships at Hogwarts, none of which are worth mentioning besides his short time with Godfrey.

Bent by the continuing disappointment in his life, Josh leaves Hogwarts with no aspiration to pursue a career in any magical field. With direction by Reg and the Coversluts, and after a few years learning the ropes of band life, he soon constructs a band of two of his friends from his younger years, along with three other members he meets through various parties. Through many name changes, the band is finally christened "Deer in the Headlights". Their band grows in popularity and Josh's life goes the way most singers might. Drugs (alcohol and cigarettes mostly), sex (girls and boys), and rock and roll, as they say. Many meaningless relationships, lasting from a couple of hours to a few months lead him to his one solid girlfriend. After two years this relationship ends with her suicide.

Josh is 36 when he dies of a drug overdose- not of his own accord, but someone at a show slipping something into his drink.
