He was a quiet, gentle, scholarly little boy who preferred walking to running - although those little legs on him sure carried him fast - and listening to stories to roughhousing with his siblings. He liked to listen, more so than talk, and when he found a nice shade he had no qualms about taking some quiet time and settling in for a nice nap with the breeze ruffling the little tuft of mane that sprouted from the top of his head.

Now, his knowing violet eyes drank in his surroundings eagerly. It was all so new, so fresh to the young cub, whose newfound freedom from the confines of the den made everything seem vibrant and simply bursting with color and life. Every time he came out, he same something new and felt something different. It was all part of the exotic experience he knew was little more than the word "life" but already he was enjoying it. It was so... so... Wow.

And there was just so much to see, so much to do, so much to learn. His little head could hardly cope with it all - there was just so, so much. There was no way to truly describe the overwhelming vastness that was the world - the world being the small area immediately outside the den, and perhaps some paces beyond it that he had managed to explore so far.

Oh, and there was more to take in and so much more to experience that he couldn't help but wake up feeling excited every day. The moment his eyes opened each morning, he was eager to get outside and find out more.

Which was what he did, every day without fail.

The Ela'Wadiyi lands were full of wonders for all to explore, whether young or old. There was an air of peaceful mystery floating about, seemingly making everything seem so alive, from the red earth to the foggy mountains in the distance. The morning had brought with it a clear, blue sky; the early sun shined tirelessly on, making the last of the morning dew sparkle before it evaporated away. There would be no debate, it was a beautiful day to be alive, and on such a day the quaint youngster was not the only one who was seeing all of this through new eyes.

Mwovu'Waya had been, since birth, a member of the Wolf Clan, a clan deeply rooted in the pride. He'd been away for a long time however. Those he had known were long gone and those that remained he did not remember or simply did not know. When Mwovu had first found his way here he had been confused, full of sadness and angst. Past experiences in life had warped him into something he hated. His name said it all. Into something evil.

So he had left again, left in search to change, to better himself. And he had succeeded. He'd left with a black coat, mirroring the darkness in his heart. But he'd found a god to help him and through all of this, he'd returned home to these lands, his coat as white as the day he was born. Now, he kept his head held high, a light smile on his face. Mwovu was so grateful of the life he'd been able to reclaim.

The rather small adult walked contently through a shrubby area of the Ela'Wadiyi territory. His dark crimson eyes darted around quickly as he tried to create a mind map of the area. Mwovu didn't want to forget a single detail of his home. It was going to be a nice day, he figured, he felt like he was in particularly light spirits.

Deep, soulful eyes followed the white lion as he walked. They had found him even when he was but a shape far away - a small, but very distinctive white shape - and had followed him as his wanderings brought him closer and closer to the little brown cub who sat in the shade of a sturdy tree.

To begin with, the young lion had simply watched, wondering as the time passed whether or not the approaching figure was friend or foe. Most likely a friend, he had figured - mostly just because it made more sense, and partly because his young mind had yet to learn how to truly respond to potential danger. It was easier, then, to just stick with what he knew and deal later if everything turned out less than okay.

But as the shape wandered closer, the tattoos became obvious, and at once any reservations the cub had left had dissolved. After all, it was a fellow Ela'wadiyian, and that of course meant that any thought of danger could be thrown out the window. Of course this lion was a friend.

And so, he watched as the lion came even closer, and in his mind he wondered ifit would be smart to approach. If it would be proper to approach an elder without much thought as to what he would say. He didn't want to seem disrespectful, but... Truth be told, much as he loved his family, he wanted to see some change. He wanted to find out more about the lions that lived around them, and he wanted to know what it was like, to be big.

With no idea he was being watched, Mwovu simply went about his way. Every once in a while, he would pause, craning his neck out to carefully sniff at something, or to poke it with a paw; his hesitant curiosity slowly poking its head out to the world. After closely examining a peculiar looking shrub Mwovu backed away, sighing a bit wearily. He had been out since the early morning. He had gotten so absorbed in his little trip that he hadn't even noticed that he was pretty worn out. His eyes scanning about again, his gaze came upon a shady looking tree. It looked perfect for a little afternoon nap.

With newfound energy, Mwovu picked up a quick trot, eager for a break away from the sun. To him, the place seemed deserted, as usual, as he surveyed the area under the tree. Some tufts of grass, a large odd looking rock, the red earth... Wait. That surely was an odd rock. Mwovu's gait slowed as his mind started chruning. No, definitely not a rock. His pace slowed to that of a careful and steady walk, stepping closer one slow step at a time. Pushing his head ahead, he squinted, making out a distinct green pattern on this 'rock'...

Mwovu grinned, all at ease again. The closer he got, the clearer it became. This was another lion. A very small one at that. A single green feather fluttered idily in the wind, hanging from the ear of this cub, mirroring the white one that hung from Mwovu's. Another male from the pride, albiet young, that's who was ahead. Mwovu felt his heart lurch for the company of another, for a conversation, to find out more about the rest of the clans. He was eager to know more about this little cub. Gently approaching, the older male smiled, his voice soft,

"Hello there... Hope I'm not intruding. My name's Mwovu Waya."
