i strongly feel that the government should not give anyone marriages. everyone, gay or strait, should be allowed civil unions that are recognized by the country, which would give the couple the legal benefits of being married. people then may choose to get married/sealed in their own respective churches (if their churches allow it.) where we do believe that gay marriage is wrong, it is also not our place to tell them they may not be bound together by law the same as any other tax paying citizen of the usa. i am a very strong protector of separation of church and state, even if it goes against our beliefs sometimes.
what are your opinions, either on the subject in general, or on something i said specifically?
