As the visitors step in, the hallway seems to burst to life with guests squeezing past each other into various rooms. Each room seeming to suit a certain clientele. As the seemingly normal visitor approaches the innkeeper, eyes watch them from beneath feathered eyelashes and thin cat-like lips begin to curl up. The whispers seem to drip from their carmine colored lips.

The inn keeper has long silver hair and from behind, she's nothing special. As she turns, her features are striking and unnerving. Her eyes are a piercing blue, she wears a jacket above her short dress to accentuate her thin but curved body. Her long pale fingers extend towards a key. The visitors typically draw in towards her, but little is none of this innkeeper besides that she can lay down the law of her inn in quite a rigid manner.

Her own soft voice directs you to the rooms on either side of her. To her left is the dining room where the noise seems to leak from cracks in the wall. The clinks and clacks of plates and mugs seem are almost floor shaking as a visitor walks in. The place has it's quiet times, but the moments are rare and it often procedes a fairly climatic event, usually promptly ended by the innkeeper and her female wiles or strength that she rarely displays. The food is nothing to speak of, but the conversation always seems to jolt visitors from their typical hum drum lives and into something far more exciting. Nothing like an encounter with a stranger to plan an escape from the dull.

With a swift movement of her skull, her lovely silver hair brushes across her shoulders to direct you to the other room. The chairs are out of place from being dragged around by guests. A large fireplace at the end of the room has cushioned chairs lined around it. The mantle above empty after having far too many drunk guests swiping the trinkets to the floor. The innkeeper has given up and has left the room alone in it's bare but very comfortable state. She warns that this is where the quiet and more dangerous encounters happen, but not to worry. As long as one keeps their nose clean, all will be alright.

She holds out the key for the guest to take.

"Take it."

The guest takes the key into their hand and nervously makes their way towards the stairs. A few residing guests lay draped over stairs in the narrow staircase. The paneled walls are clean, despite the clientele that seem to find their way in. The guest made it to the top of the first flight and find their room to be small but adequate.

Her voice made the guest jump out of his skin. Her pale face and stunning eyes left the guest's heart racing.

"Community bathroom down the hall, women are to announce as they enter in to prevent...or produce a stir within if there are gentlemen or men inside."

The guest's eyebrow raised and the innkeeper turned.

"Oh, please be sure to lock your door. Our guests have a great deal of interest in one another, leaving it unlocked is just an invitation for another to enter. Have fun."

Elysynos entered her room having just received her key from the extremely friendly inn keep. Ely wasn't really sure what it was about the inn keep but there was just something. One of those thing that a person tries so hard to put their finger on but can never really quite get it.

Locking her door carefully, she made sure her room was safe, looked out of a lockable window, and then unlocked her locked door. Exiting her room, the door was once again locked.

Making her way silently downstairs; compared to the noise anyway, Ely found herself a seat in the more quiet room. A few drunkards sat in a grouping of chairs proclaiming outrages stories to one another. However, Ely kept her head bowed and found herself a cushioned seat by the fire, relaxing at last.

His footsteps were solid as he made his way into the inn. His bright canary yellow eyes zipping down the hall towards the tall inn keeper that seemed to smirk as he made his way in. He ducked down past the inn keeper into the quieter room. His eyes darted around briefly to see who was around. He made a forced smile as he sank into a seat by the fire. His head ducked down as a group of men passed. He wasn't well liked, but that wouldn't prevent him from going out to enjoy himself once in a while.

He noticed the pretty woman enter, but kept his head down until she came closer and took a seat nearby.

"Good evening. How are you this evening?"

His voice leaked out quietly as his eyes turned up to look at her.

Her head snapped up, her eyes blinked several times, plainly showing that she was confused. She took in a the fact that she was being greeted, and gave them man a warm smile.
"I'm... fine. Might I inquire to how you are this eve' yourself sir?" Ely folded her pale hands in her lap, a bit nervous, she hadn't really spoken to a man since her brother had left. The only words exchanged between herself and her father were the yelling of orders from the man who impregnated her mother.

"I'm doing fine. Is this your first time?"

He leaned back in his chair to look at her a bit better. He could visibly see that she was shy and nervous around her. He wasn't sure yet if it was endearing or made him bored yet. He'd have to inquire a bit more before he could figure her out.

His pale yellow eyes scanned over her, taking in everything before returning his eyes to hers. His fingers resting on the arm of the chair.

Ely sighed, she hadn't realized that she was being so blatantly obvious.
"Really. Am I that bad?" her brows furrowed into each other, her back straightening and she focused and allowed herself to relax into a more confidant state of mind. "I'm sorry. Yes... it is my first time here, my name is Elysynos..."
Ely maintained a smile through her whole awkward introduction, though her confidence was slowly managing to build itself up. Her tactic was to simply not think of the fact that she hadn't really interacted with a man in so long.
He was just like one of the girls that she had grown up around. Right? Right.

In one swift movement Santaro had risen to his feet and offered his arm for her to take.

"I don't meant to be rude and leave, would you join me for a drink in the other room? I'm a bit hungry."

His long dark hair tied back from his face. His eyes fixed on hers now. He held nothing but an aura that screamed confidence. He lowered his hand a bit, to help her get up if she needed the help.

"It's not a bad place, here. The first few minutes are...intimidating for some. I find it rather inviting."

Not really knowing how to reply, she stood up, ignoring the hand that he had offered to her, though only because she found it odd that he had offered it to her.

"Well I sure hope you're right sir... and I do find myself rather famished as well... perhaps we will be able to find a mildly quiet corner in the dining room?"

Stepping in front of him, she took the lead of 'ladies first' that she figured he already knew, and made her way into the dining area, figuring she would let him pick where they would sit.

Santaro was a little put off by the gesture, but followed behind her into the inn. As they entered into the dining room he gestured towards the booth in the corner.

Santaro made his way behind her towards the table and waited for her to seat first.

"Will this one be all right?"

This was the typical place that the faun rather wished would not exist. It was filled with too many people, too much noise, unpredictably attracted foolishness, but would predictably do so at some point. The worst of all of it were the amateur musicians and magicians that thought they had something worthwhile going on---Or the worthwhile ones that had the wrong attitude about it. They nearly all had the wrong attitudes.

But Arion had wandered until he was tired, and for whatever reason tonight he chose this inn above the others in the area. Perhaps at the moment it was actually quieter than the rest. Perhaps he preferred the less-than-great food above the better that attracted the hoity-toity. Whatever it was, he made a beeline to grab some bread, vegetables, and fruit. No meat, thank you, and bread was enough cooked meal for now.

He gave a long, withering glare at the man who suggested the hay outside might be better suited for him, resisting an urge to stamp a hooved foot in annoyance. It would only gather more ignorant mockery. But he couldn't end the clip-clopping sort of sound as he rounded away to find a decent place to sit.

The table next to the girl who looked ready to run and the man who looked ready to judge the encounter suited him well enough.

"I'm not sure there are quiet corners in a place like this." He spoke loud enough for them to hear as he sat, but didn't actually speak to them, instead placing his food carefully on the table and arranging it around, "But it seems amiable company enough."

Ely sat down quietly, not answering the man's question, whose name she had yet to learn, not really sure why he had asked her if the table was alright. "So sir might I ask your name?"

She took a deep breath, smiling a rather generic smile. Another man from the table beside them then spoke up, making a good point about the lack of quiet corners. "Uh.. Yes." She paused still startled at the new company, trying to recompose herself. If she was going to start being social, she had to get over the shock of meeting new people, especially men. "Yes, of course. Though I shall certainly hope the company I have about me is amiable"

"If it isn't, you can assure yourself with the thought that someone will be certain to come to your aid. Any place run by a lady cannot possibly be entirely bad for a lady."

Arion still did not turn his head to look at the others, eyes roaming the rest of room instead. He started to eat when he finished speaking.

Santaro's eyes narrowed at the comment about amiable people around, had he not been amiable? Or was this an attempt at sending him off in a rude fashion to get a rise out of him? He certainly wasn't going to play into it.

"My name is Santaro, Lord of The Choking Flame. Your name, miss?"

He was half tempted to walk away without hearing the answer. He wasn't sure if she was shy or just a snob now. He wasn't in the mood for entertaining a snooty woman. The inn keeper was looking very lovely this evening anyways.

The words that came out of Santaro's mouth seemed, wrong. Something was wrong, she had said something wrong. One of her maids had coached her on saying the right things, and to try and watch what she said. "Oh my dear. I. I didn't mean to offend. I'm sorry. I hope I didn't offend. I said something wrong didn't I?"
Ely began taking deep breaths trying to go over what she had said and compare it to what the maid had told her. What had she said wrong? Had she said anything wrong? Santaro wasn't really showing signs of anger, but she just felt like something was wrong.

[[ She said her name before xD ]]

Santaro smiled and waved his hand to dismiss his thoughts and her worries.

"It's nothing. I took a comment the wrong way. I have my sensitive moments."

Santaro checked to the side to see if someone could bring them some food. This gathering place was beginning to fill up.
