Shadoweyes bounded across the clearing to sandclaw who was sitting with Shiningfall sharing a wood pigeon "Sandclaw!" she mewed exictedly "I-I asked the medicine cat... and where having kits!" her eyes sparkled with love and fear at the same time.
Sandclaw leaped to his paws "Really!" he purred loudly and rubbed his head along her's "Oh that's wonderful!" he mewed and trined his tail with hers as he drew her closer, he had waited for so long to have kits and now he was going to be a father! he smiled warmly and licked her ear.
Shiningfall leaped to his paws, he gave his sister a rough lick to her ear "That's wonderful!" he mewed proudly "You'll both make great parnets! Oh I can't wait to see them!" he mewed, his tail held high, he was trully proud of his sister.

Littlepaw, Lunarpaw, and Rabbitpaw stood side-by-side, their pelts brushing, as they each chose a peice from the fresh-kill pile. They padded over as they finished eating.
"Are we going to go train together?" Lunarpaw asked.
Featherkit sat quietly outside the nursery. She turned and looked at Sunkit, flashing a smile and waving her tail in greeting.

Stormfire, who was sitting a little off to the side spoke up "Well congratulations Shadoweyes. You too Sandclaw,you both have been gifted by Starclan. Kits are a gift." Stormfire stood up to stand beside Shiningfall.

Sunkit purred at Featherkit's greeting. He waved his own tail at her briefly and then bounded over to her with and unmistakable gleam in his eyes. "Hey, Featherkit." He mewed, sitting down beside her and glancing around the camp. "How are you?" He asked, looking over at her.
Sleetpaw grabbed a mouse for his sister and a rabbit for himself from the freshkill pile and met his sister under a bush that provided good shade. He layed down beside her and sighed. "Do you think that they ever leave one another's side?" He asked. His sister was the only one that he could ever talk to freely about anything. She couldn't hear him.
Snowpaw rolled her odd colored eyes. She knew that Sleetpaw was talking to her. His lips were moving. She sighed and flicked her ears at him in an annoyed manner, smiling when he chuckled. Slowly, she shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. "They'll have to one day." She pointed out. She ate her mouse and then left her brother's side, walking over to Lunarpaw, Littlepaw, and Rabbitpaw. "Hi." She mewed, dipping her head in a polite greeting.

"A little sleepy, but good." Featherkit mewed, giving a yawn and showing her tiny pink mouth.
She turned around and began to groom her silver fur until it shined.
Littlepaw, Lunarpaw, and Rabbitpaw waved their tails in greeting to Snowpaw.
"How are you?" Lunarpaw asked scratching the dirt and flicking her ears.
Wishingstar sat up on Highledge, watching her camp. The Gathering was tonight and she had to decide who she would bring. She would definately bring Lunarpaw and Snowpaw, and Shadoweyes and Sandclaw. Stormfire would also be going.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath Highledge for a Clan meeting." she called.

"I'm sorry?" Snowpaw asked Lunarpaw. She hadn't caught what she had said. Her lips moved too fast. Her ears went down. Sometimes, she hated being deaf.
Sleetpaw walked over to his sister, touching his tail tip to her head. He motioned over to Wishingstar and spoke slowly when Snowpaw looked at him. "Wishingstar just called for a meeting."
Snowpaw watched her brother's lips and then looked over at Wishingstar. She nodded, telling him that she understood. "Thank you, Sleetpaw." She mewed and then looked at Lunarpaw. "Guess we should go and see what the meeting is about." She shrugged and then walked over to sit.
Sleetpaw followed his sister, sitting next to her.
Sunkit purred. "That's good." He mewed and then looked at Wishingstar. "I wonder what the meeting is about?" He thought aloud.

"Right." Lunarpaw mewed more slowly.
She sat next to Snowpaw, and her sisters sat on her other side.
"I don't know, we'll see though." Featherkit replied.
"As you all know, the Gathering is tonight. I will take Shadoweyes, Sandclaw, Stormfire, Lunarpaw, Snowpaw, and Sleetpaw." Wishingstar mewed.

Snowpaw's ears went down. Wishingstar was speaking too fast. She had no idea what was being said. Something about the gathering....and she saw Sleetpaw's name. "Are you going to the gathering, Brother?" She asked curiously.
Sleetpaw looked at Snowpaw and nodded, then, he took his tail and pointed at each of the cats that were going.
Snowpaw smiled and nodded, telling her brother that she understood him. "We should become Warriors soon, right Sleetpaw?" She asked. "Or you at least?" Her ears went down at the thought that she might not become a warrior becasue of the fact that she was deaf. It posed a lot of problems for a cat. "We'll be twelve moons after the gathering and we've.....you've completed all of your training......"
Sleetpaw sighed and shrugged his white shoulders. "I don't know, Snowpaw. All of that is up to Wishingstar."
Snowpaw sighed and hung her head. "Right." She mewed.
Sunkit wrinkled his nose. "It's about the gathering." He sighed. "I wish we could go." He said and then looked at Featherkit. "Are you hungry Featherkit?" He asked. "I can get us something." He smiled.

Stormfire looked towards the highledge where Wishingstar sat waiting for the clan to settle in for the meeting. Stormfire turned towards her company
"Wishingstar has called a meeting you had better head over there." She called over her sholder as she padded off for the highledge.

"That would be great!" Featherkit mewed excitedly.
Wishingstar looked over her clan again and then to the sky. It was about time to leave.
"Let's go." She mewed bounding down and waiting at the camp entrance.
Lunarpaw followed her leader out of camp.

Sunkit bounded over to the freshkill pile, grabbed the biggest mouse that he could manage to carry, and then returned to Featherkit. "Here we are." He mewed, his voice muffled by mouse fur. He spat the prey out and purred. "Guess that I forgot to put it down before I spoke." He chuckled.
