Conall bought this ship the day after he left the hospital, as a decommissioned prisoner transfer ship, that had also had the crap beaten out of it by asteroids. He then spent the next two years and nearly all of the money in his bank account rebuilding it. The letters of its name are actually just soldered pieces of scrap on the side of the ship.

It's mission: To boldly get lots of money from people and not ask questions, except sometimes "WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AND WHY ARE THEY FIRING AT US!??"

Captian

Name: Conall Flynn
Age: 31
Occupation: Captain, Damnit!
Weapons: .22LR Revolver User Image
Appearance: Better description in photo form later but essentially he wears a military jacket like he really doesn't care about it, and has a white bandage style eyepatch. 6 foot, stubbled beard, brown hair, blue-green eyes.
Personality: Gruff but good natured, especially to those he has gotten to know well. Is prone to snapping at people during stressful situations, and never ever apologizes for this. Hates the military. A lot.
Bio: Born on a small colony planet in a town called little dublin, (known for its Irish ancestry) Conall showed great promise as a leader . Entered the military academy at 18 (Where he met Jaden, but more on that later),and worked his way up to lieutenant at an astonishing speed, taught some academy classes on tactics, and eventually got his own ship, the Valiant. On a training mission he was presiding over in this ship, his crew was caught up in a military exercise he was not informed of. Canons and asteroids smashed into his ship from both angles, and a small pebble of an asteroid made it through the view-screen before the blast shields went up. It hit him straight in the eye. The day he was released from the hospital, he quit the formal military, voiding all disability pay. He joined up with the makeshift militia of his homeworld in the fight against the UR. When the war was lost, he retreated back home, and bought a retired prison transport ship, fixing it up and spending nearly all of his remaining money in the process. Because of this lack of funds he now is the captain of a charter ship.

Pilot

Name: Viktor Icarus
Age: 22
Occupation: Pilot
Weapons: Pistol, flamethrower
Appearance: Maintaining a respectable level of decorum in the worst of conditions, Viktor takes pride in his appearance. He keeps his reddish-brown hair fairly short, and is about six feet in height. His clothing has heavy military influences, but he chooses to work a personal sense of style into his attire. An oxygen mask and aviator's scarf mark him as a pilot, and his clothing is often utilitarian as well as debonaire.

Personality: Dependable and chivalrous to a fault at times. He rarely finds problems with his orders, but doesn't hesitate to point out the potential obstacles in completing them either.

Bio: Raised in the military traditions, Viktor may seem out of place at times, but he always finds a way to reconcile his values with the greater good of his comrades. The son of a general, Viktor was guaranteed a place of honour and command of his own squadron, but when they were ambushed and decimated following his orders, he resigned himself in disgrace. Since then, Viktor has scraped together a living selling his skill at the helm, falling in with some of the seedier types in a sort of self-inflicted penitence.

Doctor

Name:
Dr. Reatrea, Sabrina
Age: 26
Occupation: Doctor > Specializes in Trauma and Research/Development of New Medicine
Weapons: Two revolvers. Utility belt with handy things (hosters for the guns and quick grab meds, mostly). Thick black leather gloves with a sterilizing agent coating on the inside. A slightly mismatched pair of boots. (The left boot is slightly bigger and had an ankle support inside) A walking stick, equipped with a concealed blade. A briefcase full of med supplies. A red leather bound book with contacts.
Appearance: User Image
Personality: Dr. Reatrea over all is very serious and passionate about her work and lets very little get in the way of what she believes needs to be done. Her tongue is sharp and witty, but she usually only mocks individuals that she is well acquainted with. She can tend to be a bit specious at times, and is rarely found without her revolver at her side. Sabrina’s tongue gets a bit loose whenever she drinks and speaks her mind much more boldly. When resting or stressed she is often found with an usual smelling type on cigarette between her teeth. It tends to smell of mint and eucalyptus. When asked about it, she says it helps her breathe better and calm her mind. Yet despite all this she usually enjoys herself and the company of others and is always ready to chuckle.

Bio: Sabrina comes from a very long line of notable doctors, nearly every member of each generation went into some sort of medical field, and flew through med school due to the environment they grew up in (Sabrina included). The Reatrea family is noted for their hand in may medical breakthroughs and the foundation of high quality hospitals all over.

The Reatrea family is much more than many people cared to notice. They have their fingers in just about everything, and generations of hospitals with breakthroughs made them all the more prestigious and well connected. The family is large and is considered 'old money', but the name and crest bearing the Rod of Asclepius holds it's weight in the medical community and out.

Not long after getting out of med school and interning in the trauma center of her family’s hospital, Sabrina was inducted into the prestigious research facility Poseidon. Poseidon was an “equal opportunity” employer and had a few employees from each known race. There had always been rumors about the ethics of Poseidon, rumors of an underground branch with human testing and questionable experiments, but nothing had ever been found.

For a year Sabrina enthusiastically worked for them, not only learning medicines, but also poisons for each race. She studied intensely learning all that she could, writing down everything she heard as her collection of medical material grew and grew. Her desire was to climb in rank and prestige and her enthusiasm was relentless. They where constantly neck in neck in about every field and did not hesitate to point out flaws in each other’s work or character. Sabrina even suspected him of sabotage more than once.

One evening Sabrina realized she had left one of her documents at work and was insistent to work on it more before going to bed. She slipped back into Poseidon to retrieve it. The fast paced building looked eerily different without all it’s lights. She moved to her desk and was about to grab her papers when she heard the rattling of wheels. Ducking behind the desk she held her breath and waited for it to pass. As she waited a bone chilling moan seemed to roll with it. The moment she thought it was safe she peeked above the edge of the desk to see a figure rolling a bed down the hallway then turn off to the left.

Suspicious as ever, Sabrina grabbed her spare photosnap and slipped after them. The figure lead her down a long and winding ramp located behind the building, and went under it. She followed and followed, hiding every now and then. After several close calls she was able to take pictures and slip back up to the surface.

As soon as she had the pictures developed, she handed them into the authorities. It was not long that the rumors of Poseidon were proved to be true and the entire company was shut down. But rumors never fail to rise again and questions where asked among the medical community if the research guru was completely gone. Had all the young doctor done was push it further underground?

It was then that Sabrina’s sense of adventure and paranoia never allowed her to settle down into a hospital or doctors office, instead she traveled about to and fro where she felt she was needed. But Poseidon was still on the loose and madder than hell about losing their biggest branch. It was not long that an underground bounty was placed on Ms. Reatrea’s head. She has already escaped the clutches of the hunters twice, and the most recent left her ankle in bad shape.

Sabrina is always looking over her shoulder and wary of new people. She currently is working on The Sky Father, never staying in the same place. She's been there for about a month. No rest for the wicked and the hunted.

Mechanic

Name: Kaleigh Cross

Age: 20

Occupation: Mechanic > She has been around machines all her life

Weapons: She prefers to stick with her handy tools. She may not be a fighter, but has always been taught to carry protection. Her tool belt, which never leaves her side, has a compartment used to conceal a small pistol. The back of her boots has a hidden pocket which conceals two blades, one on each foot.

Appearance: (Same as AVI, but I will add more description) Kaleigh is always found in her mechanic outfit represented by my avi. Her face, smeared with oil from keeping the ship in tact. Her dirty blonde hair pulled up, hidden beneath her hat to prevent it from getting caught in the gears. The smeared dirt on her face lightly covers up the few freckles which decorate her cheeks. Her eyes are grey, like the smoke escaping from the engines, lightly hidden behind her bangs which escape her hat. Her clothing is old and wearing out with a few rips and tears. Her black gloves stay on at all times; hiding her hands which have grown raw from all her work. Her tool belt remains wrapped around her waist, containing every tool ever dreamed of. When the cap is removed, her curly hair escapes, reaching down just below her neck. She stands just above 5"5'. She is often mistaken for a boy due to her appearance.

Personality: Kaleigh serves as the one with the child-like nature for the group. She is very light hearted and enjoys a good laugh. If its not mechanic related, she is prone to chuckle and treat as if it were unimportant. She is shy and charming and an expert in what keeps the ship flying. She feels like the outcast of the crew and tends to keep to herself. She is very private and rarely opens up to anyone aboard the ship. The only member she feels comfortable speaking with is the engines as thats all she’s ever really known. Once you find a way to break through her barrier, she becomes fiercely loyal. She has a secret romantic interest which she keeps private; no one suspects anyone or has any inkling as to who the person may be. When stress approaches or if she becomes upset, her voice is discovered as she can never control her emotions. She’ll snap when talked to and continue until she has calmed. Her stress is managed by escaping to her quarters while she escapes reality through the use of a book. Its the one place her imagination can roam free with no restrictions.

Bio: Kaleigh was born into a large family consisting of only boys. Her mother had died while giving birth to her, the last of the Cross family. Her father, Rowan, had developed a great disliking for her, always blaming her for the death of his beloved wife. Kaleigh grew up without the love of a mother that every child deserves. She constantly found herself in the corner, watching as her father taught all her brothers to become successful men. Her family owned a successful little shop specializing in mechanics. A women’s presence was banned from ever being in this shop. In the shadow of the night, Kaleigh would sneak into the shop and practice on the machines based on her observations of her father’s teaching. She hoped her understanding of machine’s would gain her father’s love and acceptance. From a young age, she grew to love machines. She became fascinated by how they worked. She desired to learn how to master the beauty of machines.

Kaleigh’s village was that of a male dominated society. Women were looked down upon, used only as birthing machines. Their existence was disrespected. Kaleigh was neglected not only for destroying a life, but for also being a woman. On the night of her 14th birthday, Kaleigh made her traditional adventure into her family’s shop. Unfortunately, she was caught. Her captor dragged her back to her father, throwing her at the ground beneath his feet. Her captor accused her of not knowing her place; he consistently belittled her of being an idiotic woman with ridiculous dreams. She looked to her father, her eyes begging for his forgiveness. He dismissed the villager. Rowan looked down upon his only daughter; the disgrace of the family. He raised his hand, striking Kaleigh’s face with a powerful force. She fell to the ground, crying. She yelled for forgiveness, begging to be accepted by her father. But he simply turned his back and retreated into the house.

Kaleigh was left alone on the streets. Her father never wanted her. Her village would never accept her. Refusing to gather any of her belongings she ran off straight into the distance. She wished to forget this village; to forget the life she had. Kaleigh continued to run for what felt like hours, her pace never slowing. She was determined to escape from the only hell she ever knew. It wasn't long until Kaleigh collapsed to the ground, having lost all her strength. She so desperately wished to continue, but lacked the motivation and force. Her eyes soon closed as she fell into a deep slumber, not knowing where she might end up.

The sun rose. Kaleigh found herself in an unfamiliar location. She awoke in a stranger’s bed, wondering how she came about this place. There was a knock on the door before a handsome, young man came walking through. He was tall, blonde, slender with piercing blue eyes. His hair, curly. He appeared to be dressed in the clothes of a mechanic. His hands were covered in oil; his face was smeared with dirt. He went by the name of Jeremy. Kaleigh blushed upon his arrival.

Jeremy sat upon the edge of the bed as the conversation ensued. Kaleigh was full of questions, having always been a curious girl. She learned that he had come across her sleeping on the ground while returning from a delivery to a nearby village. He had carried her about a mile to his home which rested in a village simply known as “Exile.” Upon learning that name, Kaleigh’s face gleamed. Exile was famous for is mechanical advances. Experts in the field often originated from this small town. Kaleigh immediately demanded to know if Jeremy was any kind of expert in mechanics. He simply looked at her with a cocky grin, amused by her enthusiasm. He answered her question with a sincereful yes. Kaleigh dropped to her knees, begging Jeremy to become her teacher; to teach her everything there is to know about machines. He cupped her cheeks in his hand, his eyes piercing into hers. He agreed to become her personal teacher, claiming it would be an honor.

From that moment on, Kaleigh and Jeremy were never separated. They spent countless hours working with all types of machines. Kaleigh had a lot to learn and was determined to finish. Years passed by. Kaleigh and Jeremy had made a successful living in the town of “Exile.” Their shop became the most famous one for fixing all repairs; they became the best in the business. One day, while working in the shop, Kaleigh overheard a conversation amongst two boys of her own age. They were talking of a brand new school which had opened. It was a school aiming to train all skilled mechanics. It was a school looking to create successful mechanics by providing them a bright future with the needed proper education. Kaleigh was ecstatic and ran off to tell Jeremy of the news she had just heard. Jeremy did not share her enthusiasm.

He was eager to share with her the part of the story which she had not heard. It was for boys only and was located within her home town. Kaleigh’s expression immediately changed. She thought she had discovered her once chance to prove herself, only to be shot down in an instant. Luckily for her she was creative with getting around the rules. She proposed the idea that the both of them travel back to her town with her dressed as a man. She would assume the name of Lucas. Jeremy was greatly opposed to the idea as getting caught meant extreme consequences, but with a a lot of prodding, Kaleigh was finally able to convince him the idea could work. Kaleigh gathered a few belongings and they headed back to the hell from which she came.

It wasn't long until Kaleigh started to recognize her surroundings. The town she had fought so desperately to escape from had now become her destination. They pushed open the front gates surrounding the town and walked inside. Crowds had gathered around an unfamiliar building standing right in the middle of the town square. Grabbing Jeremy by the arm, she dragged him through the chaos, eager to make her way inside. They broke free of all people, only to find the entrance surrounded by guards. Above their heads hung a sing claiming entrance was granted only to those who proved themselves. An entrance exam was required. Upon questioning, Kaleigh learned the next entrance exam occurred in about half an hour. It would take place right outside the school for the village to watch for their amusement. No registration was needed as only those who succeeded’s information was wanted.

Those who tried the test were simply assigned a number; erasing their identity. Kaleigh and Jeremy retrieved their numbers, preparing themselves for the exam. They looked up to the clock, proclaiming one final minute until the exam started. 30 seconds left. 15 seconds left. 5 seconds left. A gun shot went off, signaling the beginning of the exam. The leader of the school walked out, welcoming all who were attempting the exam. He explaining to them the exam was simple: they were required to repair a few simple problems and those who completed in the fastest times would be granted entrance. Kaleigh and Jeremy were relieved; there was no one more skilled than these two.

They each approached their old, broken down, decrepit machines. Their tools having already been whipped out, they waited for the command to begin. The leader of the school yelled the command and the exam had officially begun. Kaleigh was quick to learn just how simple the repairs were. She needed to adjust a few gears. She had to remove a few foreign objects which had prevented the machine from functioning properly. She had to replace the oil which would cease the humming noises allowing the belts to rotate more smoothly. She pumped some extra juice into the battery, giving it more life. Kaleigh finished task after task eons before the rest of the competitors. Upon one final twist from her wrench, she picked up her tools and proclaimed she was complete and was ready for an inspection.

The Leader soon approached her machine, astounded at her finishing time. He checked to ensure that every repair had been noted and fixed. Kaleigh had attacked every problem, leaving no repair unnoticed. She was declared the winner of the practical exam. The Leader insisted that she come with him to rest inside so that she could prepare herself for the next part of the exam. He explained all applicants must pass a written exam as well to be granted entrance. She followed him inside, eagerly waiting for the news of Jeremy’s success. Minutes passed by and she was finally greeted by his familiar smiling face. He was the next to finish after her. They waited in the empty halls to be joined by more applicants, but no one ever showed. They were informed that only the top two were allowed to partake in the written exam.

A speakerphone instructed them to enter the room where the written exam would occur. They were informed that only those who made scores of at least 100 and above would be granted entry to the school. A bell was rung and they began their exam. Hours slowly ticked by. As the sun began to set, both Kaleigh and Jeremy released their finished exams. They shot a smile at each other, both confident they had made it through. Their exams were collected and brought to the board of the school who would carefully review their exams and relinquish an answer as soon as one had been decided. Kaleigh and Jeremy were forbidden from leaving the room until an answer had been decided, so they sat in silence, eager to learn the final answer.

As the two were about to slip off into a nap, the door opened and The Leader retreated into the room. He informed them an answer had been made. Kaleigh’s score was the highest in history; she had made a perfect score. Jeremy’s was impressive as well, having made a 250 out of a possible 300. Both of them had been granted entry into the school. Classes started the next day, so they headed off to celebrate before getting some sleep.

A few months had passed since Jeremy and Kaleigh had started attending their new school. Everything was going so smoothly; no one veer suspecting Kaleigh was actually a girl. They were both careful to hide her identity. The end of the week had approached, which meant shorter class periods for the day. Upon entering school, both Kaleigh and Jeremy were called to the office for an important meeting.

Unsure of what to expect they quickly headed towards the office. They were instructed to enter the back room where the Headmaster wanted a quick word with them. Kaleigh started to feel an unexplainable, uncontrollable fear. The doors opened to a dark, deserted room with only a throne to fill the empty space. They approached the Headmaster, eager to learn why they were needed. The chair rotated, only to reveal a familiar face. Rowan Cross, Kaleigh’s father, had become the Headmaster of the school and was quick to learn of Kaleigh’s return to her home town. Kaleigh froze. Their identities had been known since the very beginning. With a smile on his face, he grabbed his gun, aiming it at Jeremy. A loud bang was heard as Jeremy fell to the floor, blood escaping from his chest. In an instant her world had been destroyed; everything she treasured, lost.

Kaleigh fell to the ground; an emotional wreck. She ran at her father with a wrench in her hand. She was determined to eliminate the only thing in her life which she truly hated. Within an inch of her attack, he yelled for his Guards. He proclaimed this girl had infiltrated their school. He demanded death as the punishment. The guards approached Kaleigh, preparing to drag her off to await her sentence in their prison. But she was quick and dodged their attacks, escaping through the open door. Blinded by her tears, she knew she had to escape this plant; she had to get away from somewhere this painful. In that moment she spotted a parked one-passenger shuttle. She hot-wired the shuttle and blasted off into the shadows of space. Knowing that her father would get word out of her wanted arrest, she knew she had to go into hiding. She spotted another planet off in the distance and decided it was her best shot.

She landed her small shuttle on what appeared to be a planet for recruiting passengers for different types of ships. She searched for what she believed to be the ship in need of her help the most. That was when she spotted the ship titled “The Sky Father.” It appeared to be old and fairly beaten up. The repairs made were obvious. Kaleigh contacted those in charge of the ship to learn if a mechanic was needed. She was in luck as no mechanics had been hired. She offered her services to The Sky Father and her offer was accepted. With only her tool belt as her personal belongings, she boarded The Sky Father; her escape from the life she once lived.

Bio: Jaden doesn’t know much about his early life, but he dose know that he and his sister, Emily, were adopted into the Mozite family, the largest political ‘family,’ as a PR stunt. As soon as the media attention shifted away from the adoption of the twins, the Mozite family shipped them off to a boarding school.

The twins both inherited the entire fortune of the Mozite family. fearing for their lives, Emily and Jaden fled from the boarding school and joined the military academy under false names. Passengers

Name: Jessica Marie Loves, but God help you if you call her by her full name, she prefers Jinx
Age: 19
Occupation: Passenger (Mechanic but not on the ship, or not suppose to be.)
Weapons: Anything she can grab from a wrench to a chair to throw at you. Not a great fighter but will fight to tooth and nail. She'll even smack you with her backpack full of tools. Other then that she plays with knifes a little too much...
Appearance: Short being 5' and just as small around. Nothing about her is big, not even the chest, but her fiery ice blue eyes will look right through you. Her skin is pale scattered with scars ranging from gashes to scratches. There is even a small scar across her cheek going in a diagonal line leading to her mouth. Her extremely dark brown hair is always pulled back into a tight pony tail to where no hair can escape from. Wearing what ever she can throw on in the morning her clothes are always worn and dirty from grease or oils. Instead of wearing a belt she carries all her tools in a sling back that she fashioned into a backpack. Always in boots to give her some extra inches in height and to protect herself.

Personality: Quick to fluster, shes hyper in a "I will kill you" way. Feisty and always on edge she has enough energy to fill a power plant. However she does have a soft side, but that's usually shown only to her little baby machines. Shes extremely hard to befriend she trusts few. Once she is your friend however she will be much sweeter to the point you'd think shes a different person. If you get on her wrong side be prepared to dodge the flying bag of tools for shes not afraid to take on the world. She is intelligent when it comes to machines but never can tell you what shes doing or even how to fix anything. If asked what to do she'll stare at you and try to explain in gibberish. Extremely klutzy at times its a wonder she hasn't killed herself on accident yet.

Bio: Born into a family of doctors Jinx was suppose to become a medical field worker herself. Yet, she hated people even when she was little. Due to the fact her parents had no time to tame her, as she'd always be in trouble at school, they sent her off to live with her Uncle Kyle. Kyle taught her the "beauty" of machines. Quickly she fell in love with them and learned all she could about them. Once Jinx was a master of her trade she went on to seek a job leaving behind Kyle to watch himself. Never really becoming friends, just more of work buddies, Jinx still wonders about him from time to time but never wondering about her mother or father. Even though they taught her some medical tricks to where she can patch herself up.
