This thread serves two purposes now. One is an interactive type event and the other is just random art posting, since the interactive type event seems to have stagnated. Newest art is posted at the end of the thread. The archives are updated whenever STK feels like it.
Have you ever wanted to boss around an artist ? Well, now you can! (within reason)

Introduction
Welcome to the Closet of Scrap. This thread is the testing grounds of stkmisu's newest semi-interactive project. Start Date: December 2005 or January 2006 (sooner depending on the amount of suggestions received). Currently open to receiving Theme Suggestions.
How it works: Everyday, stkmisu will draw at least one new image. The majority of these images will be doodles, ie: Scrap. Here's where the interactivity comes into play: you as the reader are asked to provide a subject matter or theme that you wish to see stkmisu use while doodling or drawing. You may request a certain style such as doodle, finished, coloured, realistic, sculpture (if you want to challenge stkmisu), textile, etc...
Once a new image is uploaded and displayed, you are then free to provide comments and criticism (be nice or you will break stkmisu - don't take that as you shouldn't say anything, though.).
Time Frame: While this project has no end date, please be advised that themes will have end dates. It is asked that when you provide a theme you also provide a timeframe during which the theme can be used.
Goals: To draw and upload at least one image per day without stopping (except on weekends and holidays - drawing should commence, but uploading may be an issue for a while) To incorporate themes picked by the readers into said images To improve upon skills by a) practicing everyday and b) listening to and accepting comments, tips, and criticism from others To last as long as possible - current impossible goal is 365 days of continuous doodleage
More on Themes and Styles can be found further down in the thread.

Rules
I. Be polite. Please, think before you type.
II. When submitting a theme, you may not ask for anything that violates the Terms of Service for Gaiaonline. No vulgar, crude, sexual, or otherwise offensive themes will be accepted and a moderator will be asked to delete your post.
III. When submitting a theme, you must include a suggested timeframe: IE: A day, several days, a week. (stkmisu is ignoring this rule for now, but it will be enforced once the project begins in Dec/Jan)
IV. Do not steal. If you like a piece that stkmisu posts, please ask if you may use it and do not get upset if the answer is no.
V. Do not post artwork in this thread unless asked or it is specifically stated that artwork will be accepted in the thread.
VI. If suggesting a theme or category that is specific, please provide references or links. Thank you. xd
VII. If your theme is not used immediately or not addressed by stkmisu, please feel free to politely ask if it has been received.
VIII. This thread is not a chat thread. You may post introductory hellos and such, but please cut chatter down to a minimum (some chatter is acceptable, but please, no spam). If you really want to chat with stkmisu, you may use either the [MUSE] thread within the guild or the Closet of Ink shop thread.
IX. stkmisu reserves the right to refuse any suggestion made. However, please feel free to suggest whatever within the ToS. If you want to challenge stkmisu, go right ahead! Challenges are welcomed. Make stkmisu think outside of the box!

Themes
What are themes?
Themes are ideas and suggestions provided to stkmisu for inclusion into images. These can range from very specific image suggestions (ie: "Little Red Riding Hood confronting the Big Bad Wolf in a small cabin") to broad suggestions (ie: "Trees")

Themes By Style
What are Styles?
Styles are the type of images/projects drawn/made by stkmisu. These are: doodle, finished, coloured, realistic, sculpture (if you want to challenge stkmisu), textile, etc... As one style is completed, it will be added to a list that will make it easier for readers to pick from when suggesting a theme.
What are Categories? A Category can be considered a type of theme: Humanoid, Anthropomorphic, Mechanical, Plantlife, Science Fiction, Historical, Fandom, Horror, Medical, Zombie, Sea Monster etc...
Note: Suggesting a category and/or a style is completely optional.

Vorty I'd like to see a portraiture image of a naval commander character, staring all boldly in the style of a historical portrait.
Some battling warships and wild waters in the background wouldn't go amiss.
As a colour scheme I propose a subdued sepia/blue-green pallete with a bold dash of another colour.
Pretty specific, ain't it? biggrin

how about something superheroic?
nothing too crazy or extravagant, but id like to see strong bold lines. hmm.. mebbe displaying speed, power, or some other type of action? some bright colors would b nice, but id b happy with a black-n-white image.
*strikes a pose*

Wow, Vorty... that's not a theme, it's a request! rofl
Sounds like fun, though. I'll add it to my project list. Maybe I'll work on it next fall. wink
