I wish they would do double file restarts. It makes the racing so much better because they wouldnt have toi get around all of the lap-down cars.

what happens if your driver is one lap down though? How does he make up that lap on his own? That's the only problem i see with double file restarts.

Unless there is a lot of them like from green flag pit stops at Dover its nearly impossible.

Burton unlapped himself at talladega, there are a lot more drivers that unlapped themselves than you would think.

At the very least the lap cars could start on the OUTSIDE rather than on the inside where they can slide up the track and get into the way of the lead lap cars.

my problem with double file is that two tire strategy at the end of the race is likely irrelavant now.

Kurokage Sanada83 my problem with double file is that two tire strategy at the end of the race is likely irrelavant now. It can still give you track position, it's just a bigger risk now. But if your car runs okay on two tires and you are back in the pack, it could give you a shot at a better finish.

Carl Edwards was saying that the leader should be put on a row alone and then second would have the lane choice. But i think that beats the whole purpose. Its been proven that if the leader gets out in clean air they can just pull away and there would be no battle for the lead and the double-file rule was partially implemented to make better battles for the lead so Nascar: bad idea! Dont listen to Carl Edwards!
