So this is sort of stating the obvious, but you should've had a job and saved money before you decided you needed to spend a lot.
How do you expect to pay for college or any of the other crap you mentioned?
"I'll get a job and then I'll get money and blahblah"
NOOOOO
You're going to end up with a minimum wage job. Or maybe something a little more than that, but you're not going to be a full-timer. You're not going to make a lot of money.
When you move you're going to have bills. And you're going to have to pay them. And I'm not talking about college bills either. I'm talking about rent, electric, tv (if you have it), internet (Which let's face it; You're going to get), water, gas, a car if you have it, car insurance for the former, FOOD, and miscellaneous s**t that sneaks up on you (trash bags, feminine hygiene, medical bills, personal pleasures like GC or DVDs or whatever).
If you have one job, you can PROBABLY pay for that. But you're not going to be able to save a lot of money.
You're going to have to have two jobs if you even want to begin about thinking about college. Unless your parents have agreed to pay for college, there's no sugar coating it: You're ******** screwed.
I can hardly work one job without complaining a lot. Considering how long it takes you to get anything done I highly doubt you'll be able to keep a job for long. The longest job I've ever kept was 4 months, and that was ONLY because I had nothing else to do and my parents were constantly hounding me to get a job AND I knew that at the end of it I had basic training (which was a release of freedom for me, however irrational that is).
There was a period where I had two jobs, one 37 hours a week and one that was maybe like 10 hours a week. IT WAS HORRIBLE.
Technically I only had the two jobs at the same time for ONE WEEK and I will tell you THAT s**t IS NEVER HAPPENING AGAIN.
Now, I'm assuming you're going to say "But I can work while I go to college!" AHAHAHAHAA @ that.
I had one job while I was in college. The job itself didn't suck. School by itself was kind of easy.
Combine the two together and what do you get?
THE WORST TIME IN YOUR LIFE EVER!
And if you start out with zero money, you're going to have to have two jobs WHILE in college.
Yeah, that's not going to happen.
Do yourself a favor and get a savings account and work for AT LEAST
the summer 3 months (or you get 3k) while living with your parents.
Then you will have no bills. Put AT LEAST 50% of your paycheck (it should be more like 90% but I highly doubt you can manage to not buy anything) into this savings account every pay check.
Then when you have amassed SOME money, go do your thing with eiki or whatever.
As nice as Eiki is, I highly doubt he wants to (or even CAN) pay for you to live with him and cover all of the bills that will be half yours too.
You need to think ahead more, Pixie.
And the only reason I'm being so hard on you THIS time is because I made the same mistake you are about to make. Being financially unstable, poor, and coming crawling back to your parents begging for their help is the most humiliating thing ever.
And I know you hate your parents.
So just stay there for AT LEAST
the summer 3 full months(Or you have saved 3k).
You're going to have to anyway, because along with passport stuff, a student visa is going to take a very long time to get as well.
edit:
And 3k is like the bare minimum. Really you should probably save more.
I had only saved 2k before going to college and I had to ration my food.
I was eating once every other day or so, and my one meal was 1 bowl of ramen.
Yeah, that sucked.
And btw before you ask: No, you can't function very well with that little amount of food in your system.
You end up sleeping all the time.
And feeling like s**t.
