To put it fairly, N'tos has been reluctant to do much of his work lately. So in order to avoid any lectures, he had escaped to the lakeside. The refreshing water and sunlight had been incentive enough for him to take a breather, away from the crowded weyr into the peaceful solitude.
While he was there, he had taken the opportunity of bathing the brown, and rubbing oil onto the dry patches of his skin. It had actually been an enjoyable process, N'tos finding that you didn't mind the things you went through for your dragon. Except for the part when they had begun to joke around.. N'tos becoming completely soaked actually.
Now, Asceth was lying on a near by ledge, happily settled down. He was napping, though the tip of his tail stayed erect. This was a sign that Aesceth was on the alert, should N'tos need him for anything.
N'tos was lying on the shores of the lake, only a few feet away from his brown. His appearance; the pants of his legs rolled up to his knees, and the shirt sleeves rolled up to his elbows was casual. His black hair still had droplets of water, obvious evidence of his endeavor. N'tos was lucky that today was so sunny. The sun was allowing him to dry off his clothes with the utmost expediency. But like human, like dragon, Notos was drifting in and out of sleep. The quiet atmosphere of the lake, combined with the leisure that both of them felt was enough to make the teenager relax to the point of sleeping.

Galliath, who was feeling quite superior (as an older brown should, he informed his rider!), came ambling up toward the lake with S'van in tow. See? There is Asceth's, and Asceth, the Brown said, as though continuing an argument of long standing. S'van had apparently protested the trip down to the lake on the grounds that there were no other weyrlings kicking back their heels there. However, given the present company, Galliath's point stood.
Surely even a slightly older pair of weyrlings could do the same! "Yes, yes Gall... you're very clever. Now hush so that I can clean you off," a rather grumpy S'van said to his smug dragonet. He stripped off his shirt, pulled off his boots, and picked up a scrub brush, following the gallivanting Brown into the water. Normally he didn't go in water with any clothes on at all, but he wasn't here for a swim.
Not yet anyway. That might come with time, when he had finished cleaning Gall off and oiling him. "Hey, hey... settle down." Galliath, of course, was quite excited by this whole process. Galliath was excited by everything. It was a fact that S'van had been trying for quite some time to work around, generally to no avail. He was a bit large to be so bouncy with his rider, but he didn't seem to care if he knocked S'van over.
Crooning with pleasure Galliath butted his head against S'van's hand, eyes whirling a happy blue-green. Yeah, okay, so there were some rewards to being manhandled by a dragonet. Among which, apparently, was getting his pants soaked through, and once again buffeted over onto the sand. "Settle down," he repeated, hoping to get through to the overeager dragon.

"Mm?" N'tos said, somewhat disoriented. The sounds of another dragonrider and his dragon were obvious, but N'tos didn't recognize the voice. His dragon, sensing his rider's query answered, Galliath and Galliath's is here. Asceth said, in somewhat of an explanation. Partially of his own initiative, and partially from manners, he called out a friendly greeting to the older brown. He retreated to his nap shortly afterward.
N'tos didn't know either dragon or rider, but they were from a previous hatching, that much he knew for sure. It didn't prevent him from calling out, "Hey there!". Bringing himself up to a standing position, he dusted off some sand and made his way over to the other brownrider.
The struggle between the rider and the dragon was not lost on the young male, reflecting that he had a bit of an easier time than S'van did. Guess it depended on the dragon, neh?
"Having trouble?" The teenage boy suppressed a chuckle, walking over to where S'van was. He apparently had no qualms about getting wet once again, as he waved to the excited brown. Galliath seemed to be a bundle of energy, but definitely a fun bundle! S'van would have his hands full, though. "Need any help?" N'tos smiled, gesturing over to his own scrub. He extended a hand to the male that had been knocked over, his golden eyes were definitely amused.
