Jacob took a deep breath...okay he could do this. He would demand...yes..demand that they take the kids to their place of work. The zoo. Ubara was...getting impatient with the hollow excuses of not being able to see in his words 'the big snakes'.
"Chevy..." Came Jacob's voice...he was trying to sound firm in his tone but the slight waver in his British accent failed. He already had Ubara's child harness in his hands and Ubara...much like a puppy may recognized it and started to pace around excitedly. Dammit...you would think he would learn to NOT pick up the harness before he was ready to go.
"Snake?" the child asked in an impatient tone. He tugged at Jacob's pant leg and then butted his head against it.
"Ubara hunny shush..I need to talk to daddy first." Jacob sighed and Ubara listened...if only cause he didn't want to risk the change of not being able to see the snakes.

" What?" Chevy called from the kitchen, the blonde a bit preoccupied with attempting to get Zarukah to stop eating the rind of the watermelon slice the troll child had just devoured. Though he was glad to see the boy enjoying fruit he'd rather him not vomit it all up again later from eating the parts that weren't meant for human consumption. He didn't know if is strange tusked blue skinned trolls normally did eat the rind but he wasn't taking chances.
Zarukah predictably ignored all of Chevy's attempts to take away the crunchy treat going so far as to growl at the adult.

Jacob turned to face Chevy already taking a big breath to ready his speech.
"Chevy I think its time we took the boys to the zoo, Ubara has been dying to go and I don't see why we can't make a day of it and go as a family it would be good for us to bond with the boys." He stated his long winded ..rather long sentenced plea to his spouse with eyes that were begging for him to comply.
Ubara only moved over to Chevy and stared up at him in a grudging sense. Apparantly he understood that this all rested on Chevy agreeing to the idea.
"Snake." He stated simply. He wanted to see them.

Chevy shrugged "Sounds fine" he'd taken Zarukah a few times with him when it had been necessary and then the once for a pony ride but they'd never gone all as a family before and not as a a trip or anything.There was plenty still for both boys to see and Ubara already seemed interested in the snakes. " You want me to bring a lunch for us to eat there or we gonna buy something?" The green eyed man still got nervous about feeding his sort of children new food especially the high fat processed stuff sold by the zoo's vendors.
Zarukah looked down at Ubara from his high chair " Ponies." A rather random retort but a firm one none the less, ponies were much better than snakes becuase.. well becuase Zarukah didn't know what a sake was but he'd seen ponies.

Ubara groweled at his brother from the ground. It was easy to see this could dissolve into mindless banter back and forth. Ubara had never seen ponies before, so it was easy to be bias about liking snakes more.
"Snake!" He spat back with a small stamp of his foot.
Jacob patted Ubara's head trying to sooth him but the child ducked from the pet and moved to the high chair to look up at his brother.
"Snake bettah!" He glowered.
Jacob only sighed, "Yes maybe bringing some food may be for the best." He murmured glad Chevy had thought of it. he didn't need a toddler like Ubara hyped up on sugar and fatty foods.

Zarukah's response to Ubara's arguing was to take the partially chewed, slick with water and saliva, watermelon rind and throw it in the other boy's face. " Ponies" The blue skinned boy's long pointed ears twitched in amusement as he declared the mane having creatures better.
Chevy gave Jacob a long suffering look that also asked, are you sure you want to take that out in public? Still, it seemed both children clearly needed a chance to bleed off some excess energy. " If you can get Zarukah clean and redressed," the boy was sticky watermelon mess at this point " I'll work on making lunches and we can be out of here in about ten minutes."

The boy tried to deflect the watermelon rind with little success and ended up with a face full of sticky mess. Growling the young ...rather wild tot decided he better scale the highchair in order to prove his point. To only have his plot foiled by Jacob as he was picked up and put in a different high chair close by.
"Now we won't have any of that..." Jacob mused unimpressed now that he had two tots to clean up rather than just one. He then ...after making sure the toddler was secure in the high chair moved to gather w wash cloth to clean up the pair.
Ubara wasn't impressed being trapped in the chair. He didn't like the chair...he didn't like being stuck in one place.....grunting he tried to reach his brother...who was too far away.
Jacob chuckeled at Ubara's antics...and after retrieving the watermelon rind and putting it in the compost bucket he too the washcloth and set about cleaning Zarukah's face first.

Chevy just laughed , watching for a moment before getting to task of making picnic lunch being sure to make both old thingss he new the boys and Jacob would eat as well as new things for them to try. Maybe if they behaved themselves they could get snow cones, he highly doubted it though.
The blond was rather glad to be the one making the food not trying to get food off of the two troll children, they weren't bad just high spirited and more than a handful for anyone, even zookeepers. He packed water bottles and juice boxes then closed up the professional grade lunch container, it;s keep the food cool and fresh while they wandered the zoo for a bit.
" You about ready?" he asked looking up to check on Jacob's progress.
Zarukah whined but didn't fight the cloth, he didn't like when it got stuck on his tusks, even though they pointed down, if he thrashed his head about.

It was always a battle but soon enough Jacob had the one clean...now he just had to do a quick wipe down on the other.
"Oh? Your done already?" He said as he moved from Zarukah and went about cleaning up Ubara who reacted in a much similar fashion that his brother had. He then went about taking Ubara out of the high chair and then Zarukah after he had placed the harness back on Bara.
Straightening he wondered if he needed to put one on Zarukah as well.
"Do you want the harness on Zarukah?" He asked Chevy.

Chevy looked at the currently unharnessed troll child, we was filled with watermelon and aside from arguing with his brother he should be well behaved. The the man remembered him offering to let that little ribbon tailed girl bite him so he could bite back and he nodded " Yeah probably a good idea."

Jacob nodded his head and went about locating the second child harness he had gotten for Zarukah in case they had needed it.
In the time it had taken him to find it and come back he found Ubara already tangeled in the lead of his own harness and was attempting to bite through it. Sighing he looped the second harness on his arm as he went about untangling Ubara. Once done he kept a firm hold on Ubara's lead as he then went and tried to put the second harness on Zarukah.
In what felt like ages...he finally got them both ready. Sighing at the slight scratches and marks on his arms he stood up and looked for Chevy.
"Were....ready!" he called out...or as ready as they would ever be anyway.

Chevy was already at the door with their packed lunch, hmm maybe next time he'd harness his son and let Jacob make the food, it was only fair if they switched off. The man walked over to his lover, gave him a quick peck on the lips and then proceeded to help the other get the kids out into the truck and properly belted in. The more he thought about it the more excited Chevy was for this little family trip
During the ride Zarukah actually babbled nonstop to no one in particular, well less babbles than angrily proclaimed his unhappyiness about every object he saw be it man, beast or vehicle. The golden eyes troll child was in generally good spirits but everything outside his house today was an offense to him at the moment.

Jacob had always loved the small things Chevy did. The small kiss out of nowhere, helpnig him buckle the kids safely in the back, heck even being able to make lunch was nice. He leaned his head heavily against the headrest enjoying the short lived freedom from their sons even if he had to listen to Zarukah proclaim just how unhappy he was at every living and unliving thing.
Ubara on the other hand was silent mostly due to the fact he hated being confined. He was wrestling with the belt that strapped him safely into the chair seat. He gave a couple wild swings at his brother but was too far away to allow any of them to land. He wanted his brother to quiet, he was getting on his nerves.
Looking around as the surroundings became increasingly familiar Jacob's own excitement grew.
"So boy's what did you want to see first?" He inquired as they neared their destination.
"Snakes!" Came an instant reply from Ubara mouth. Of course he wasn't aware that there were other things they could look at...and quite frankly he didn't care about those.

"Snakes" Zarukah echoed if only becuase he'd never seen them and he'd already seen ponies.
Chevy laughed " Mm sounds like it's gonna be snakes." Not that the blonde had any problem with that though he had a feeling the boys might be disappointed that they could only look at the snakes and not touch them.

Jacob looked over to Chevy and nodded his head a bit tired since with Ubara it was like a chant he kept up.
"snakes snakes...snakes snake..."
He rubbed his temple as the little trollish child tugged at the end of his leash even though he had no idea which way they needed to head. He looked up at one of the signs even though he already knew where they were located in the reptile exhibit.
"This way..." he encouraged with a tug on the leash trying to get Ubara to listen and follow.
