There was one thing that was very important to know about Noah By'arre: He should never be allowed in large buildings. Especially when those buildings are stores. Two reasons for this: One, he couldn't find his way out of a paper bag; two, he had mass amounts of money and almost no self-control regarding it. Basically, he went off with a cart to get oranges and other such fruits, and left his son and Lironax to Silas for the time-being, as though the teenager would somehow be able to control the constantly-bickering children.

So, that left Aludra, Lironax, and Silas to walk through the frozen foods section that seemed to take up practically a quarter of the store. Aludra's tail flicked back and forth irritably, red-rimmed eyes glaring at the ground. Since only the day before, things had grown painfully tense between himself and his supposed 'best friend'. Sure, as a toddler, it had been an easy to accept fact that Lironax was a girl. As he'd grown, though, Aludra had slowly begun to accept the fact that he, himself, along with every other male in his family, was likely gay, and the premature feelings he had for his friend only made it more apparent.

But, no. Lironax had to contradict that as soon as Aludra had grown accustomed to the idea of such a sexual orientation. No, no, it couldn't just be fine for him; Lironax had to decide that he was supposed to be a girl. Of course. And now he was stuck in the same room as the other boy since Silas had moved into their apartment. There was no getting away from the adorably girlish male, and Aludra had to keep this stupid... complex of the other kid's a secret from both their dad's. Of course.

Of course.

With a look of nervousness, two individuals wandered through the massive department store, trying to find the clothing part of the store. Noel, who held his sleepy child's hand tightly was looking at a map. There was an arcade at the very top floor, and a place where children could be watched while the parents struggled with shopping. They were on a pretty fixed income, though they were still rather wealthy.

Noel had never had a child before, and was only used to budgeting for himself. But with his little Édes, his paycheck was not lasting as long as before. He was happy none the less.

Turning to his little boy, he pointed to the map, where there was a picture of a little kid. Édes nodded, and they both rode the elevator to the top floor. Once there, he signed Édes in. The whole floor was an arcade, and the only reason he signed Édes in was that the security would keep an eye on him. With a kiss on the forehead, he promised to return get Édes, right after he bought more clothes for the little one.

Édes hugged his father tightly and kissed him good bye and good luck. His light pink gaze followed his dad longingly until he disappeared from sight. He sighed, wiping his eyes with his overly long sleeves. Turning around, Édes looked at all the bright flashing lights of the games and the jungle gym in one corner. He didn't want to climb, so he went to one of the bright flashing games and stuck a quarter in.

Lironax stood a few feet away from both his guardian and what he assumed was now referred to as his ex-best friend, staring sadly at the ground. It was better than looking at the others, after all. The floor was safe; the floor didn't stare back with eyes that didn't understand or didn't care. His tentacle swished back and forth gently, occasionally flexing its spikes. If Silas had been close attention, he would have noticed that Lironax, a Patience child, was fidgeting, which was a sure sign that something was amiss.

But no, the 'teenager' in question was busy glaring angrily at the store in general, wondering what the hell was taking Noah so long to simply get a few bottles of shampoo, a bag of penne pasta, and yet another baby bottle for Adelle. After all, he himself hadn't been in a proper supermaket-mall-whatever for ages, and he would have been finished ages ago.

The situation was only made more awkward by the attitudes of the children. For some reason that he couldn't fathom, both his son and Aludra were being exceptionally quiet and depressing. While normally talking together - or at least near each other - now they barely even looked at each other. Silas paused to look at both of them in turn, concerned by this abrupt change in dynamic. After casting his polychromatic gaze around the store once again, then checking his watch in desperation, he sighed and turned around abruptly, calling to his two charges over his shoulder. "C'mon, you two. Let's waste our time in a place slightly more interesting."

Lironax blinked at his father's voice, and followed obediently, still not removing his golden eyes from the tiled floor. He didn't know if Aludra would follow or not. Normally, that would have worried him, but now he was more worried about being noticed by the Greed child. Besides, Noah would always drag him back to the apartment if he wandered off. 'N-nothin' to worry about,' he tried to reassure himself mentally.

After a few minutes of consulting the map of the mall-thing, Silas led his two charges to the floor that was an entire arcade, clumsily texting Noah on his new cell phone and telling him where they were going. Hopefully, being surrounded by such games would yank those two out of whatever funk they were in. Or at least provide adequate distraction for now.

After a few moments, Édes normal feeling of sluggishness left him, and he was suddenly ready to roam about the floor. He went from game to game, gazing at all the prizes that were in the claw machines. Some were filled with candy, other's were filled with toys. One was even filled with little gameing machines!

None of them, however, would do. Those were the type of games he would play if he was feeling sleepy, but now, he was ready to move!

Édes found himself standing infront of a huge machine labled Dance Dance Revolution, and stepped on the platform. His little legs wouldn't be able to make it from color to color on time, but it looked like fun! He popped a quarter in and tried to find a song. He finally found one! It was medium tempo, and he could, somewhat follow the beat. He closed his eyes and opened them right when the song began, and did his best to follow the beat.

It was beyond akward for him, his wings constantly got in the way, and his long sleeves blocked the ground. Still, he was giggling and moving around, in a makeshift dancing manner.

Aludra barely glanced up when Silas opened his mouth. He was beyond tired; he'd been awake all night sans maybe two hours of sleep before his father had woken him up and decided that they needed to go to the supermarket and stock up on supplies to live through the next world war. The Greed boy growled softly, wagging his tail irritably as he followed the other two into an arcade, and his expression softened slightly; it had been a while since he'd been to one of these.

The remaining of the boy's anklewings flapped slightly. He followed after Lironax for a moment, opening his mouth to ask what the other boy wanted to play, before the happenings of last night replayed in his head. Tri-coloured eyes blinked in surprise, and he bit his lip softly. Yeah, so, maybe he shouldn't be talking to Lironax. He didn't know how to accept what he'd been told, and... she wasn't about to talk to him until he did.

Aludra grumbled once more and headed deeper into the dark arcade, eyes instantly drawn to the claw games. He smiled softly. Sure, they were rarely worth the amount of money that they charged. Luckily for the spawn, he was pretty good at the games themselves, and usually won each try. At least... when it came to the ones in the nickel arcades. He blinked curiously. This wasn't like those ones, though. It was one of the ones full of stuffed animals with the little yellow boxes that controlled the fairness.

He shook his head, strangely loud music catching his hearing. Tipping his head, the boy glanced around, catching sight of the toddler who was playing Dance Dance Revolution. He took a few steps forward, watching the game. It didn't take much to figure out what to do but... watching the boy's feet, he could tell that it wasn't really easy. He wagged his tail and watched the game with interest, debating whether or not to join the kid when he was finished the first time.

Noah blinked as though taken off-guard when his phone started buzzing, and glanced around for a second before realizing it was coming from his own pocket. Digging into his pocket, he checked the message and nodded to himself, struggling to type out 'Great. Call me when you're finished.' Somehow he didn't seem to get the fact that he was the one who was supposed to be telling Silas when he was finished with what he was doing. Oh, well. Maybe he would figure that out someday.

The song didn't slow down until the very end, and Édes' tiny body had trouble keeping up. He twisted, turned, hopped, skipped, and jumped to make the arrows fit, but to little avail. In his young mind, he didn't know he was losing horrible, especially playing on his own. All he knew was that he was having fun. He and his father had played the song many times before in his living room, though they never really danced on it, well, in rhythm anyway. He was beginning to fall into a giggling fit not even paying attention to the monitor. Édes simply enjoyed himself.

As the song finally winded down to a close, he sat down on the platform, trying to catch his breath. His wings flapped a bit, trying to blow air on the little Sloth/Kindness child to cool his little body down. For the first time in a very long time, he regretted having such long sleeves, for they kept the heat against his body. Rolling them up, he turned around, to see if anyone else wanted a turn before he tried to play again.

He spotted a boy that was like him, but older. With a smile, he climbed off the platform and approached the other.

"Wanna pway with me?" He asked, his eyes closing partially as he grinned and held out a hand. "We can try to hit teh buttons togeter!"
