It had been a few days since the encounter with the mangy mutt as El had taken to calling him to herself, and she was just starting to fill safe. It had taken a few nights of sleeping in places she felt confident he would be unable to get to her, if he happened across her in her sleep but at last she was back to her normal self going about her activities like she had before the unfortunate meating.
It was a lovely afternoon and El having eaten the night before was lounging on her back looking up watching the clouds go by, deciding what each cloud was based on its shape and creating a little story in her mind. It was a game she had played when she was nothing more then a pup, and frankly she had never grown out of it.

He despised that of her, he'd been hurt and she was the one feeling things. How could he be mad though. He had been the one that had attacked. His mind was going again and fighting back. Sure he started the fights generally but, it was all her fault. The thoughts were disgusting himself, no wonder she had been disgusted. "Who am I?" He asked quietly and wandered to a small, freshly cut field like thing and sat a moment.
There he began collecting his thoughts together. Unfortunately he was upwind at that point and didn't quite catch scent of his nightmare not to far from him. Proof that in an emotional moment he could really zone.

El was still in a daze when the sent caught her nose, suddenly the shapes of the clouds dancing in front of her eyes faded away as she feel into a full on panic. Were here senses playing tricks on her or could it be true, could that creature be in the area, could she be in danger. She rolled to her side being as quite as possible.
She slinked along the grass, to hide behind a tree, peeking around seeing if she could catch site of her nightmare. She was afraid to move to much, make noise, or let her smell drift in the air. It didn't take long for her to find him, and much to her dread he wasn't far from her either. She started looking around her for a possible exit strategy.

It was fresh of a few minutes and lead him to a formed patch of grass not far from where he'd been standing. "She was here.." He mutters. His tone unsure of how to feel. She'd broke him down, made him break down. It was an awfully lovely experience that twisted his gut as he even thought about it.
"She hasn't left to long ago.." His mind then did wander. Where had she gone? He smiled to himself and wandered away. He'd look but, not look for her. Play uninterested until she makes a wrong move and shows herself to his keen eye.

El was still perched behind her tree, only feet from where he stood, she was almost frozen she didn't know what to do... the space she was in was far to open for her to run.... and being a dog she was unable to climb a tree.
She shifted her weight slightly, this was her deadly mistake when she moved her weight snapped a branch. She looked up in time to catch his eyes shift to her hiding spot. She knew in that instant that she was possibly doomed. She looked around trying to find an escape but she knew it was futile.

Then a sound blared into the day. A snap, a simple twig snapping and Kael's body went rigid. His nose was alert and ears pricked forward. She was still here. "Where are you." His voice was cold and angry. Why hadn't she just made her appearance and stood up to him instead of hiding and making him angry.

El knew there was nothing to do now, if she ran he would chase, and he would be faster then her with out a doubt, and there was no small areas where she could go and hide. She decided to just step out from behind the tree. She didn't say anything at first, she just stood there in plain sight wondering if what she had done was the right thing.
"Hello" El said gently, she was at a loss as to what she should say and a simple greeting was all that came to mind a the moment. She stood there fairly rigid waiting to see what would come next, she wasn't going to run but she wasn't going to get any closer to him either.

The question was stupid and he already knew the answer but, with having to say himself he figured he may as well ask and hear the fear in her voice, the hatred towards him. Everything he wished he could get rid of. Everything he wished he hadn't caused. In the back of his mind he was crying, depressed and rather angry. He'd hurt his chances ever having anything better then what he had already.
"It's really hard to find you hen you hide.." His eye's gazed to her. The pain he felt deep within shone there and he attempted blinking it away knowingly. His maw was open slightly, teeth bore in an attempt to appear more terrifying but, his eye's still faltered him.

El stood for a moment confused, she could see a different side of him now, a side that she thought she saw a glimpse of last time they met. She liked this side of him, she was drawn to it in a really strange way. She took a step closer to him, "I hid because I was afraid." She told him honestly, she didn't see any other way to answer the question.
She then broke into a smile, "Really I am hard to find? I always thought I sucked at hiding." She continued to walk towards him, seeing the pain in his eyes she wanted to be beside him, she felt an urge to comfort him, even though his maw was open she could tell she meant her no harm, he just didn't want to admit his pain to himself of her.
She had made it to him by now and she sat down delicately right in front of him. Their faces were only inches apart. "You know if you stopped the tough guy act we might be able to be friends." she said rather boldly to him.

To me you leave a lot of marks.. so many that a human could probably follow you easy." He spoke of humans with the ut-most disgust. He couldn't stand the two-legged witches and he'd never be able to walk the streets of the town with a wag of his tail.
"What tough guy act?" He was shocked. When he glanced back up she hadn't moved not a muscle it seemed. Her beautifully poised body stayed right where it was as if she knew she was safe. He almost had a thought to show her whose boss and give her a reason to stay away. It was that little psycho part of him that stopped him surprisingly. Treasure.. Something whispered to him. He thought it had been her at first but, her maw was closed and she bore a patient look in her eye's. His own mind had spoke to him.
"Treasure.." He whispers. "I'm sorry." He says. He turns his head again and gazes to the ground. Tears forming. His body stopped fighting him. She had made it better. Made his mind stop the bickering. The war seemed over. It seemed better, cured, fresh. Joy had enveloped his heart for the first moment of his life. "My tough guy act.. I'm sorry." He kept muttering I'm sorry to her but, never looked at her.

El blushed when he mentioned how she could disappear to certain wolves, and noted the disgust in his voice when he talked about the humans, and noted not to bring them up in conversation, she personally didn't feel one way or the other about the humans.
When Kael started to apologize repeatedly El felt drawn to him even more, she closed the small gap between the two of them, and actually made physical contact with him, she nuzzled his shoulder lightly. She couldn't believe how comfortable she was in holding physical contact with him. Not only was she touching him now, but oddly enough she was happy that she was touching him. She nudged in closer to him again.
Her mind was racing, what was she doing, how could she be touching him? He had threatened her, he had made it clear that he didn't want her around him, that she was not his cup of tea so to speak. Yet she was drawn to him. "You don't need to apologize anymore." she said to him gently.

His apologies continued a tad longer and almost melted in his mouth. Her head now resided at his shoulder, nose burying itself in his fur. She was touching him. He stayed froze in his spot, legs stiff and tail hung without feeling. He'd never been touched in such a way before. She was.. caring for him? Comforting him? His heart went on a parade the beats skipping every now and again.
"I..I.." His tongue was tied. He didn't know what to say. Was this what liking someone felt like. His heart pounded again but, more rapidly. "You.." He whispered and gave up. Words couldn't explain this so why was he even trying!
His head lowered to smell her. Take in the scent that freed him from torment. Melted the words in his mouth and made his heart race like no tomorrow. Deep down he could hear the voices, still shouting, angry now and violent as ever. He shut it out. the scent provided a wall. The touch helped build it and her nuzzling his side was the cement holding it all together. "Thank-you." He whispers, his voice quivering, not like before. his strength was gone and so he sat. She was all that held him sitting up now.

El couldn't contain her emotion they were changing and growing at an insane rate, she could feel her body tingling. Before she really knew what was happening she felt her self growing closer and closer to him. "You are welcome" she said in response to his thanks, she was unsure of what exactly she did but she felt it was the polite thing to do.
She had her eyes buried in his fur, feeling her emotions bubbling up she lifted her head and looked into his eyes. She felt like her head was spinning she didn't know which way was up. She kinda felt her paws giving out underneath her, what was happening she wondered. Before she knew what happened El had fallen over at Kael's feet, completely unmoving.

He didn't know her name. It shamed him that instance. "Are you okay?" He gasped. He didn't know what to do! Water? But, he didn't want to leave her to get it but, maybe she needed that more then him to leave. Worry flooded him.

El stirred when she heard him ask her if she was OK, she opened her eyes and looked up into his worried eyes, she felt embarrassed for this to have happened in front of him, in that moment when all the emotions were ready to come out. El tried to move to her feet and stumbled slightly, "I'm sorry" she managed to mumble. El had always had a problem since she was young that when her emotions ran high she had the habit of fainting.
" I uh, well that uh happens to me sometimes." her voice quivered and her perfection facade broke slightly, she looked up into his eyes again rather embarrassed.
