Anne let out a sigh, its meaning one of one hundred different emotions and other such mental things running rampant in her mind. ... A young gold's voice being one of them.
Anneeliieee, what's going on?! What about Elae -- you're not telling me about Elae! Where are you? Miinneee...
Yansanth... I told you not two minutes ago: She's being looked at by the Healers and we have to wait outside. I'm sure she's fine --
Where are you? Miinee, I'm coming to where you are now. Don't move, we must see if Elae is OK, OK?
Shifting in her seat at one of the benches situated outside of the infirmary, Annelie crossed her arms in a stern manner, but quickly un-crossed them a moment later after realizing that she wasn't actually face to face with her Bonded as she spoke. Yansanth, you will stay put! We'll get into a lot of trouble if you suddenly barge in here...
There was no incoming argument, and Annelie gave another sigh. When Yansanth didn't reply, it meant she either suddenly gave up, got totally distracted, or was doing exactly what she had said she was going to do. ... and the answer was usually the last possibility on that list. Great.
With a huff, the young woman slumped her shoulders and rested her elbows on her knees, planting her chin in one hand. She glanced about from the floor to the doors and then to La, the girl she had yet to know the name of or introduce herself to.

Lanakirene had been left mostly with her own thoughts while she was forced out of the infirmary to wait until Elae (and those who had been mauled by dragons, she supposed...) was thoroughly looked over. Honestly, she wasn't even sure what she was doing there. After all, it wasn't like she was Elae's close friend like she assumed Anne was. Theoretically, she should be in there helping if she wanted to stay around at all, but the majority of her recent healercraft practice revolved around dragons rather than people, and she had elected to stay away for the time-being.
Anne's sigh made her open her eyes and glance over, but she kept her quiet for the time-being, wondering exactly how this young Queenrider was associated with Elae. She knew Anne's name, obviously, but not much about her. She hadn't been what La would have considered a 'real' Candidate. After a moment, she tipped her head back against the wall and closed her eyes again, calling to Isonth.
Where are you, dearest?
I am outside, near Yansanth, Isonth answered, giving La a quick glimpse of the young Queen. I believe she is fretting about Hers. Is your friend all right? she continued, concern rife in her voice.
She's sick, but otherwise fine. She's still conscious.
I don't like you being far away, you know, Isonth said. I want to come in and see her and you.
Isonth, no! I'm fine, and so is she, and you don't need to worry about me.
Make nice with Yansanth's, please, but I am going to come to the infirmary. I remember there is a place for dragons to look in? she asked, and when the image unwittingly rose in La's mind, she seized it and opened her wings, dropping from the ledge on which she perched and angling her flight in the proper direction. She paused and sent an attention-getting bugle for Yansanth.
Yansanth, I am going to see Mine, and Yours is with her, I believe. Come with me.
Isonth!
But the dragon had tuned her out. La gave a soft groan at about the same time Annelie sighed again. Rubbing the side of her face and shaking her head slowly, La glanced over at Anne and gave her a brief smile. "You all right?" she asked quietly.

Annelie got halfway to looked down at the ground when verbally spoken words reached her eyes. In almost a start, she flicked her eyes quickly back up to La and then blinked, trying to get her brain to realize that she had just been asked a question.
"Mm? Oh.. yes, I-I'm fine I guess. Just have a dragon in my head who's not listening as usual..." she stated, raising one eyebrow unintentionally as she straightened up in her seat. She opened her mouth to add something, but closed it as said dragon decided to pop-in again.
Annelie, Annelie, Isonth and I are coming! See I told you I was! Don't move, OK?
The woman's shoulders could only droop as she gave her third sigh in the past five minutes. "Aand here she comes ... They come. ... Y-you're um, Iii...Isonth's rider, right?" she asked, almost sheepishly. She felt like a small failure at not knowing who rode which dragon or what anyone's names were. Some queen rider she was. Ha.
As Hers sighed away, Yansanth launched herself off of her own perch after the smaller green, and for a moment while she was gliding through the air, she forgot about all the fretting over Elae. Flying was just so much fun! How could one not want to fly allll daaaaaaaaaaaayyyy ... it was so liberating and -- Yansanth snapped out from her thoughts and corrected herself, flying straight once more instead of gliding side to side in a dreamy manner.

"Hmm...mine usually listens, but she's Getting Ideas at the moment," La said, shaking her head slowly and sighing. Isonth wasn't usually this fussy; La supposed it was that it was her own distress that was troubling the green dragon, and she grimaced. "I think she's just upset because everyone's emotions are running high, and there was that mauling..." she shrugged.
"Yes, Isonth's mine. I'm Lanakirene," she added with a smile. "I think I spoke to you at the Touching before our clutch..." she shrugged. "I see you around sometimes, but not very often." She shrugged. "Is Elae a good friend of yours?" she asked, trying to find a topic of conversation that wasn't totally awkward and realizing that she had just started one of the most awkward possible ones ever. Because 'Well, um....we got drunk and I kissed her once, and things were just kinda...whatever after that' was NOT going to be a good response if Anne asked how La and Elae knew each other.
Whoops.
Lanamine, we are coming whether you like it or not, Isonth informed her, and La groaned.
Can't you not do that?
I will come to look into the Infirmary for you.
Isonth, I'm not in there!
Then perhaps you should be, Lanakirenemine.
La threw up her hands and sighed heavily. "Isonth!" she said aloud, but again, her dragon was ignoring her. "We have to try and get back in there," she said to Anne. "Isonth's going to panic someone."

Annelie nodded in agreement; the distress of herself, others and the misapprehensions at the Hatching were most likely the cause of Yansanth's unwillingness to listen. ...Hopefully, because it was either that or the young Queen was getting more and more freewheeling.
At the comments and questions pertaining to La having spoken with her or seen her about, Anne gave a slight fidget and laced her fingers in her lap. "Oh... Really?" she asked, some embarrassment etching into her voice. A second of silence passed as Annelie tried to remember such things, but she could not.
"I'm sorry. ...I-I don't remember. Guess I can't really tease Yansanth about her own fuzzy memory now," she finally said. She could only give a sheepish smile, visibly ashamed for not being to recall having met La and not remembering ever really seeing the woman about. She went on feeling a bit sheepish as the topic switched to Elae.
"Mmm... well, I consider her a friend, even though we haven't done much together and such. 'Good friend' would be reserved for the relationship between her and C'ym; I'm kind of just 'a friend,' I guess." She shrugged and then glanced down at her lap. When she looked back up, she was about to ask how well La knew Elae, but La's sudden yell of "ISONTH" sent the question tumbling from her mind.
Annelie stood up almost abruptly, nodding her head, already moving towards the doors of the Healers. If Isonth was going to panic someone, then Yansanth was going to send everyone into either total chaos or heart-stopping shock.

"Ugh....dragons," La said vaguely, listening to Annelie as she considered the door to the infirmary. They were going to get in trouble for going in, particularly since possessive Isonth was being particularly insistent. "It was only a short conversation," she remarked softly. "It's not surprising that you didn't remember it. I never really saw you in Candidate lessons....it was almost like an Impression from the Stands, watching you pair up with Yansanth." She glanced over her shoulder and smiled sheepishly. "Beautiful."
The possibility of hitting on Anne died on her lips, but the words like you stuck heavily on her mind.
Lanamine, Yansanth's is...Yansanth's. Those who weyrmate with golds are not for you... Isonth said lightly, giving La the distinct image of the dragons' entrance to the infirmary. La smacked her forehead. She didn't bother making much of a reply and instead opened the door slightly, glancing around it and then pulling it open.
There was a healer at the door as soon as La entered, frowning and clearly about to say something when a soft trill drew attention away from the girls. Isonth, perched outside, was peering curiously at the healer who had gone to make sure she was all right. Lanamine, Yansanth is coming as well. You and Yansanth's should come see us, she said, and her voice held a hint of warning. La sighed.
Of course, Isonth, she murmured. Then she glanced back at Annelie. "Isonth is going to cause a fuss...and that's my dragon," she added to the healer, who was now scowling at her. "Come on," she said, rerouting her train of thought back to Anne and shrugging. "Dragons," she added darkly.

Annelie couldn't help but blush a dark, rose-pink at La's remark about her Impression. She glanced down at the floor, but then back up at the taller rider and gave a small smile in silent "Thanks." ...But that smile dropped into a slightly concerned frown when the doors were opened and a Healer was right there, frowning and such.
Keeping some-what behind La, Annelie opened her mouth to voice an 'Oh dear...,' but never got the chance. The small green, who she assumed was Isonth, gave a much needed diversion of attention. ...And did so much more 'gracefully' than Yansanth would have done.
Speaking of which...
As La and Annelie pressed forward, the young Queen finally arrived. With an audible scrabbling on the ledge, Yansanth finally pushed her own head in, its size so dwarfing Isonth's that it was almost comical. She gave a rumble and looked this way and that until she finally found Hers.
OH, there you are, Mine! We were looking for you! Yansanth exclaimed, giving a soft croon towards Annelie.

Isonth looked up at Yansanth with eyes whirling blue with absolute adoration. No, she was not one of the greens with an elevated ego who thought herself better than the Queens. Yansanth was a gold, and Isonth would pay her the proper deference. She crooned softly and looked at La, who was now standing at her nose, scritching lightly between her nostrils.
How is the collapsed little one? she asked La gently, concerned. She is all right? She would have been more concerned if Elae had been the rider of a dragon, but Lanakirene had some sort of attachment to Elae, and thus it was important to make certain her rider was all right.
I don't know, Isonth, love. "She just fainted because of the heat and excitement, I think...but she's still ill. Come dear, let's go outside." Pushing lightly on Isonth's nose, she backed the green dragon outside, trying her hardest to ignore the Healer's glares. As she did so, she looked up into Yansanth's eyes and laughed softly. She was so big. And so strikingly gorgeous.
"Oh, Yansanth, you are beautiful," she said softly, and dropped the same deep bow she gave to Queens on the hatching sands. Isonth inclined her head as well, looking to Anne and giving a soft, comforting trill.
Yansanth's is frightened, Lanamine. She must not be so timid, or Yansanth's Flights may not be grand enough. Yansanth needs those Flights. So do the Weyr and the eggs... She spoke as softly as she could, a private channel between dragon and rider, voice laden with concern.
There is time, Isonth. There is time. Don't worry.

Yansanth gave a lovey croon and a trill to Isonth's and Isonth herself, happily lowering her head from Annelie's pettings to nudge La fairly delicately as the woman bowed. So much praise! It certainly made her shine a bit brighter, though she was sensible enough to not let it go to her flittery head.
Annelieee, they're so nice. We should have all met earlier -- it would have been fun and lovely! Yansanth gave another croon and turned back to Hers, but not before she gave a happy nudge to Isonth as well as her own bow of the head.
Yes, very much so. Annelie replied, smiling as she resumed her petting of the large, wedge-shaped head. Yansanth was in such... bliss, that she honestly forgot why they were at the healer's in the first place, and certainly did not get any notion that Isonth was speaking about Annelie and herself to La. Nope... total bliss and lovies.
"Lanakirene, I have to say that yours and Isonth's praises have sent Yansanth into a total happy stupor. Her eyes are actually blue and she hasn't stopped crooning," the young woman laughed, she too oblivious to any talk about her or Yan.

In spite of the gentleness of Yansanth's nudge, La couldn't help but stumble backwards a bit before reaching out to gently rub the gold's nose. Isonth, she is lovely! Perhaps she will be your Queen someday. If Favan leaves like she threatens, Anne and Yansanth would perhaps be groomed for when Helirra would step down.
In that case, she will need all our support, Lanamine. An affectionate bump from Isonth managed not to unbalance her rider, and La wrapped her arms briefly around Isonth's muzzle. Then she released the dragon again and stood scratching her eyeridges, watching Anne and Yansanth with a smile. Isonth rumbled her amusement at the two, and La couldn't help but laugh at Anne's comments.
"I'm glad we could please Yansanth," she answered, giving the queenrider a short but formal bow and a winning smile. "After all, it's our job to do what we can for the Queen and her rider." She would have reached up to pet Yansanth, but the protocol for petting someone else's dragon was always fussy, particularly when that dragon was a gold. So instead she continued to scratch Isonth.

'Do what we can for the Queen and her rider.'
...Annelie gave La a quick wave of her hand in some lame effort to dismiss those words or underlying duties. She was still uncertain and unaccustomed to being waited on, praised and all other things that came with having a Gold. It was just awkward, honestly, though the intentions or what-have-you were still appreciated.
And it was probably a good thing that she, or Yansanth, hadn't heard what the other pair have only just discussed. The possibility of ever being in Helirra's place absolutely terrified the young woman, and Yansanth herself wasn't too keen on the idea either. For the young gold, there were too many restrictions and responsibilities in that job and it did not have enough "Fun" in the title.
Annelieee, trilled the young queen, bumping her nose against Hers. This... place is getting a little boring. ..And I cannot remember why we're here in the first place? I love Isonth and Hers, though -- can't we go to a more fun place? It would be much more pleasant... Yansanth could have chirped on and on, but Annelie tapped her snout and turned to La.
"Elae seems to be in good hands. ... Perhaps we should go and let the entire place get some quiet time?"

Yansanth's is correct, Lanamine. It would be best if we removed ourselves from the place, Isonth said, rumbling affirmative and leaning over to nuzzle Yansanth affectionately. Unlike her human, she had no qualms about coming into contact with a Queen, particularly one so darling as Yansanth. Isonth wanted to protect her, in some ways, and that strangely maternal warmth made La smile.
"You're right," she said to Anne with a nod. "We really ought get out of here while we've still the chance. Before one of the Healers comes after us with a bedpan or somesuch thing." She shook her head with a wry smile and then inclined her head to Annelie, expression torn for the briefest moment. For a mere fraction of a second, she bit her lip, but then the it was gone and La grinned again, offering her arm to Anne in the same formal gesture a gentleman would use.
"Would you allow me to escort you and yours back to your weyr, Annelie of gold Yansanth?"

Oh, nuzzles! Yansanth gave a happy chortle and a coo before returning the gesture to the lovely Green.... who's name had already escaped her. But no matter, names were of no importance for the time being!
Annelie found the mental image of a Healer coming at them with a bedpan more disturbing and gross than humorous, but she gave a small laugh just the same, and then switched it up and gave a curious rise of an eyebrow when La offered her her arm.
She stared at it for a moment, and then glanced back up at La. If it were an actual... formal offer of escorting, Annelie would have declined. But... one needed to have a little silly in their life.
"Why... yes. Yes," she finally said, giving a little smile as she placed her hand at the crook of La's arm.

"Wonderful." La gave a playful wink, inclined her head, and started off in what she was fairly certain was the direction of the young Queens' weyr. "Thank you for doing me the honour," she added, and then laughed.
She was being silly, but sometimes silly was fun.
