Hello, Stranger.
Are you one who will never settle down in one place, a traveler by heart? Perhaps you're a wolf mocked by strange colors, markings, or patterns? A rogue by nature, living without friends and without a place to call home? Maybe you just have a talent that you'd like to share with the world, an unmistakable talent that He might deem worthy...
What is it, Outsider, that brings you to this point? Do you wish to find Sanctuary among the Ringleader's ranks? Do you wish to curl up in tune to wolves who perhaps have it worse off than you, to call them family? Look no furthur and please, come inside...
We've been expecting you.
The Carnivale is a pack of brotherhood, neither good nor evil but somewhere in perfect neutrality, loyal to one another and to their leader, the Ringleader, but to no one else. They are a traveling pack, one that doesn't stay in one territory too long, but instead they find one for each season. They wander as a group, instead of alone, always having their Alpha with them unless they choose to go awandering on their own.
They spend their time "performing" to packs and rogues who might watch, collecting a tribute or pay by hunting in that territory to feed the clan. Outsiders, however much the Carnivale needs them, are usually looked down upon, not because the pack believes that they're better than them, persay, but because they just don't wish to indulge themselves in nonsense that is not Insiders' business.
Children are loved. The pack will perform for them, free of charge, just to hear their laughter and see their smiles. It is a weakness of Raive's.
The pack is one that seeks comfort. Touch is adored and seeked out. Wolves among this pack often press up against each other just to feel the comfort of feeling the warmth of another friendly face. They might sleep together in little packs of twos and threes, or they might strive to sleep with the Alpha -- it is permitted, of course. Raive would like nothing more. If they can't find comfort among their own, they are welcome to go out searching for an Outsider to share their space with.
Love, is quite simply, that. Love and Lust are welcome in this pack, not judged or limited by gender or age (within reason) or even by rank. If a carny falls into love with an Outsider, this is fine. If he just wants to share a bed with the Outsider at night, this is fine too. If puppies come upon the pair, Raive will make it his business to stick around that season's territory until the children are old enough to decide for themselves which parent they want to stay with, the Outsider parent or the Insider parent. For puppies that decide to become packmembers they will be raised not only by the mother or father, but by the entire pack. Children are to be cherished, afterall.
It is not uncommon to see the leader with two or three lovers himself. Raive is a tad primiscuous and likes the thought of 'free love'.

This pack has no ranking system. The wolves among the pack are simply Everywolves, normal beings with talents. They are to respect each other and live in peace.
Omegas are treated no differently than the Alpha himself. They have the right to say what they want to say, feel what they want to feel, and love who they want to love. They aren't considered pups or freaks, unless they are (of course) in which case, this is fine and dandy.
New wolves might be jostled around by older members, 'hazed' and Raive will look the other way. The newcomer -- an ex-Outsider, as he sees it -- will either rise to meet the challenges and overcome them, or leave the pack. It is simple. If things get out of hand and blood is shed, he will step in to right the wrongs.
The wolves are free to talk among themselves, talk among the Outsiders if they so wish, and talk freely to the leader without fear of punishment. As long as every wolf respects the Ringleader, nothing will be pushed. Thievery is common among them, and as long as they're thieving from Outsiders and not among themselves, it is overlooked. Some wolves might steal others' puppies. Raive sees this as wonderful; new talent among the pack. Puppies are children and to be adored.
Punishment is not very normal here, reserved for only the worst offenses: unjustified murder. That is something Raive will not tolerate. Wolves who murder for no good reason are usually wounded and chased from the pack, by the pack, into a life of loneliness.
Wolves in the Carnivale are here because of their colors, because they might be freaks of nature, or because of a special talent that they wish to pursue. A fireeater, for one, perhaps he steals fire from the Two-Legs' camps and bends it to his wishes, all without burning the forest down? Perhaps there is a seer who tells fortunes. And maybe there's a child among them that can balance upon the thinnest of logs, a tightrope walker by nature.
Talents are up to the wolf and the person rp'ing them. They can be simple or big, but they have to be believable.

The Ringleader: Raive
At a young age, Raive was leered at. Across his dark coat was the blinding raver colors of his outcast father, the markings skeletal and definitely not liked in the mostly-female pack he grew up in. Across his face was a strange marking, an evil grin of sharp teeth, dark and brooding. He matured into a large wolf, and people began to fear him. Even his own mother was ashamed and Raive began to realize the reason his father was a rogue. He ran away, but life alone didn't serve him well. He missed the touch, he missed the smells. He missed having a pack.
So he decided to create one. Raive is generally an easygoing, smiling fellow who'd rather show submission than an act of dominance any day, perhaps why there are so few rules. Being an alpha isn't normal for him, but he asserts himself when needed and the rest of the time, considers himself one more member of the small circus pack. He is flirty and funloving, craves touch more than anything, and loves his odd band of brothers and sisters.

And yes, it's so if people have an idea and know what they want, they can post here, so other people can see what they're trying for. (for example, if roxy wanted a fire eater, she'd post that so people might try to get something different than a fire eater? if that makes sense?)

(for example, if roxy wanted a fire eater, she'd post that so people might try to get something different than a fire eater? if that makes sense?) Actually I had two ideas, a tumbler/tightrope style girl, and a fire eater girl, but Jade said she would have to think about if she was willing to do either to do the complexity of what I requested. So I have to wait until she decides if she wants to/can do them and how much they would be.

Sounds sweet, Rox! ^^ We need more guys. I have had several different ideas tumbling about for some time now before finding out about The Carnivale, though I'm not sure how it would work out. One of the more favored ones is a Mask Seller boy. Hum . . .

I've now got Raive -squee- biggrin I'm rp'ing him as a loner for a few rps, but he'll be looking for his pack ASAP. If you've got a wolf interested in joining this pack, please fill out a form. I will create an recruiting RP but Raive needs at least three followers to create a pack!
