Do any of you have friends that have recently discovered the joys of gaining? If so how are they doing?
I have a friend who has been gaining since late august. When she started she was 280. Shes now 340. And its only november. Its only been a little over 3 months and shes put on 60lbs. Just wondering if anyone out there has friends that are becoming avid gainers like my friend is.

Aside from a few exceptions, they're just trying to be "attractive". Being fit implies that you are healthy and/or designed to survive in your environment.

Oh, damn. When doomsday comes, I might as well go around wearing a shirt that says, "I'm unfit and unhealthy! Pelt me with hail!"

Actually, my therory is that when Doomsday (or Armagedon or Ragnarok or whatever you want to call it) is apon us, all of the "fat" people will live in caves for the remainder of the chaos in hibernation, living off of their stored fat.As for the skinny people, those that respect larger people will be allowed to seek shellter with the plus-sizers, and be spared. I don't really know anyone that wants to gain, though I wish I had a lady friend that wanted to.

i don't understand why poeple would want to gain weight, can anyone explain? i meen i understand if someone is seriously underweight and they need to gain some, but the majority of people should be happy the way they are. it just sounds a strange concept to me, i've been obsessed with losing weight for the last 6 months. i was 210 lb but now i'm 137 lb

In relationships where the feeling towards weight gain is mutual, sometimes one person (called a Feeder) will encourage the other person (the Feedee) to gain weight. Don't worry about the health risk though. Most Feeders never force their mates to gain if they don't will it so and most Feedees will never allow their helth to go down hill.

On another note, I've known a few who wanted to ahem...'plump up'. I figure that's fine, so long as they don't overdo it. But then, if that's their wish, who am I to judge, right?
