Well, it came out today (had to search all over town to get it, seeing as Best Buy didn't get it in on time).

I loved it (though I'd seen the fansub already back in the day).

Great music, awsome animation, a great story that felt like more than just a filler episode (like most anime TV series' movies), the dub was stellar, you get to see Goyjo in the shower heart . What more could you want?

The extras are way cool too (a text interview with Kazuya Minekura, FULL AMERICAN CAST COMMENTARY!, production designs, Japanese theatrical trailers and TV spots).

The commentary is pretty funny, and relatively insightful as well.

Well, anyhow, for those who picked it up/rented it, post your thoughts.

*anxiously awaiting mine in the mail*

I've seen it fansubbed, but I'll wait until I get ahold of the domestic before I say anything.

I got this DVD over the weekend. I haven't watched mine yet. It's unwrapped from it's plastic, though.

I want the dvd more then anything right now...but I don't have any money to buy it yet...I can't wait to get my first pay check from Burger King...then the first thing I will do is Drive an hour to a city that actually has a dvd store or best buy and buy it right away.

I watched it a couple weeks ago on AN. whee It was pretty good, I rewinded the shower scene like 15 times, hehe. I'm not so sure about some of the pronounciations, then again I could be wrong since I've never seen the original. sweatdrop

I didn't know the DVD came out but I saw Requiem On Demand weeks ago, and I thought it was good of course they had no extras or anything. But I loved the movie.

Yay, I finally got mine!

Man, I loved the commentary. The VAs sound like awesome guys.

(still a shame they can't act to match the nice voices, though >>;; )

The disc was put together really well. I was impressed. 3nodding

And of course, the movie rocks. The animation in it just... wah, it's intense. heart

I loved it! I've been watching it several times on Anime Network. Though I've learned my lesson about letting my mom be in the same room while I'm watching anime since she is now enamored with the term "pervy water sprite" stare
But anyways... Dougan scares me... I mean... you can't get much more crazy or fan-boyish than that.
Aaannd.... The fight scenes kicked a**. Very much so.

I listen to the commentary and he mentioned Iowa...
I was at that con and I remember him telling me about having to lose weight and quiting smoking.
*Sigh

He is a nice guy and a good friend (drops by my house/work on his way back and forth from Houston to Ft.Worth)..

That boy is quite a character. He wouldn't quit going on about his obsession of Katamari Damacy and Silent Hill. Weird yet cool combo.

I gots me a signed thing of his on my wall. xd

Him and my fiance were buddies, but they don't see each other much anymore (work and school will do that to ya).

No, it's a movie that takes place in between Gensomaden Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload.
