 Kemuri Village. Home for all Ninja. Created out of the ruins of the crab clans samurai village. Here all ninja are welcome. The founder & leader of this village of assasins is Gaijin. All will be shared equally among the village members, from riches to weapons. This group of proud warriors live near the sea of Tears. It earned the name sea of Tears 500 years ago when the Crab clan deafeated an army of 1000 sea traveling warriors. Many brave samurai died in that battle & many women cried thus giving the sea it's name.

After burying her family, Takara gathered her belonging and headed out to seek those that killed her family. Looking around her home for the last time, memories came back to mind of that dreadful night...
Her father and mother were sitting right there enjoying a peaceful night as her younger brother and sister were playing on the floor. Takara was at the table writing a letter when someone knocked on the door,"it seemed strange that someone would be coming this late at night", her father said. Going to the door he was confronted by a stranger, he turned around and told us that he would be right back in, then he went out the door. Takara and her mother could hear them arguing outside, thats when her mother told her, "Takara go and hide, take the others with you protect them no matter what." her mother said. Hearing the urgency in her voice, she turned and grabbed hold of her younger brother and sister's hand and went out the back way that leads to the woods. Running as quickly as they could thru the forest to a secret hideaway, Takara told her brother to watch their sister while she goes back to help mom out. Not knowing what to expect back home, Takara hurried to help out, but what she saw next stopped her in her tracks, for there knelt her mother and father tied up and a group of warriors standing there with weapons drawn back for the kill...
"Takara, what are you doing, arent you coming, we've been waiting out here for you, do you need help?" cried out her sister and brother that were waiting outside...hearing their voices brought her back to reality.."Yes, I'm coming." she yelled.
With that she grabbed their bags and headed out the door. Looking at her brother and sister, she smiled, "Ok you two, lets go and see if we can find our father's old friend, Chan, for I remember father saying, that he lives in the forest area." With that she and her siblings headed towards the forest area....

Traveling for several miles, Takara notices that her brother and sister were dragging behind, "Come on guys we just need to go a lil further, see that opening up ahead guys, we'll stay there for the night," she said, still walking ahead of them.
Trying to make this enjoyable for her younger siblings, she said, "Ok the last one there is an rotten egg." with that she ran ahead of them....hearing her brother Kin saying "that's not fair, you cheated!"..and her sister Ren agreeing with him, "Yah, Takara you're a cheater."
Hearing them laughing for the first time since that night, brought tears to her eyes.."I didnt cheat, you guys are just slow." she laughed...as she continued running ahead of them.

Finally reaching the entrance of the cave, Takara watched as Ren and Kin came a running up the hill.
"Ok you two, catch your breath and then we have some things to do before it gets dark." Takara said as she walked around to check the area.
Going back to where her brother and sister were, she thought she heard something.
She signal to her brother to stand still and to be quiet, while she stood there, and waited to see if she can hear it again.
Then without warning a bird flew by from the trees, it startled her but she was ready for anything, with her weapon in hand she was ready to strike.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Takara continued on telling her brother and sister what to do.
"Ok you two, I need you to gather some branches so we can make a fire before it gets dark, while you two are doing that i'm going to go and gather some berries and herbs so we can have something to eat."
Looking at her siblings, she pointed towards the direction that would be safe.
"Aww, do we have to, Takara, my feet hurt from all the walking we did." complained Ren.
"Yes Ren, you have too, unless you want to freeze tonight?" said Takara.
"Ahh, alright Takara, I'll help Kin gather some wood." said Ren. With that Ren and Kin did what they were told.
While Takara went looking for berries and herbs, remembering the teaching of her father, she recalls which berries and herbs are safe to eat and which ones are deadly.

Gathering enough berries and herbs, Takara headed back to the cave. Hoping her brother and sister has gathered enough branches and wood to last the evening, she hurried her pace to get back to them..
Seeing from the distance that the fire was already going, Takara called out, "Ren and Kin where are you?"... for she didnt see them at all getting concerned about the where abouts of her siblings she continued calling out for them, "Ren and Kin!!" "Come on you two, this isn't a time to be playing hide and seek."
Searching frantically around the area, for she didn't see any signs of them anywhere. "Where are you two, come on guys this isn't funny at all." she shouted.

Continually searching for Ren and Kin, Takara went by the campfire to see if she could find any clues, then she saw the extra footprints in the dirt, following them the footprints brought to an area where she saw the horses prints.
Thinking to herself, who would be around to take them and why? Without wasting time she went back to the site and gathered what she could take with her and went the direction that she felt they went....

Clearing her mind, so she could think clearly and make the right judgement of things..Takara followed the tracks that lead down a dark mysterious area of the forest, she could feel the evil presence within the foggy mist that laid over the land before her.
"Why would anyone take two innocent children, they weren't doing anything wrong",..."Wait, no it cant be that, there hasnt been a creature like that around for several years." she said, "I need to find Chan as soon as possible but I also need to find my brother and sister as well."
With that thought in mind she continued forth thru the mist....

Walking thru the mist...
Takara could hear different sounds all around her. Which gave her a creepy feeling that ran down her spine.
Thoughts ran thru her mind about her little brother and sister, "Why did this have to happen?" "I should of stayed with them or at least have them go with me while I went looking for berries and herbs."
"If anything happens to them I would never forgive myself, but most of all I pity the person or thing that took them for they will meet their maker before the end of day.".....
She continued walking thru the misty area, looking for signs that someone or something went thru here, but not finding any troubled her.
"Now what am I going to do how did i lose the tracks." she said, but she wasnt going to give up, she kept on looking...

As Takara continued going thru the mist she notice that the fog was getting thicker, and making it harder to see anything. And the noise that seemed distant now seemed to be closer.
Takara, put her hand on her weapon to be ready for anything...remembering her father telling her about a group of creatures that looked like humans but really were rats, which lived in the shadowland swamps, and these creature like rats were called Ratling and they loved to kill humans, but she always thought it was just a story to keep her away from this area. Now she wonders if possible these creatures do exist and could of it been them that took Ren and Kin?
Trying her best to stay focus of the surroundings, Takara could sense danger nearby for it was all of the sudden too quiet, that she could even hear herself breathing.....
Suddenly, out of no where this creature jumps out and attacks her. With such force that feel upon Takara she was knocked down to the ground, and the creature was no where to be seen. Before the creature could attack again, Takara got up and was ready this time for creature to attack again.

Sensing that the creature was nearby, Takara was ready for anything. Then it happened, the creature jumped again from out of the mist and attack her again but this time she was ready with her dragger in hand she stabbed it as it came at her. The creature cried out in pain and ran off within the mist. She knew that she got it for there was blood on the end of her dragger.
"That was close." she said, "Ok now, I need to get going before it comes back with help."
Takara hurried thru the mist, and went the direction she felt was the right way. She could see the fog lifting and a clearing ahead of her, hoping this would be a safe area to rest, she sat down by a tree. Thinking about her brother and sister, and hoping all was well with them, she closed her eyes and started dreaming of happy times with her family...

Hearing a scream nearby, Takara woke up. "Was that Ren, that sure sounded like her or was I just dreaming." she thought.
Sitting there by the tree Takara, gathered her thoughts once again, "Ok, I need to get going its getting late and I have to find them soon." Standing up she made sure that she had her dragger and Naginata with her for she had laid it down when she sat down by the tree..
"No! get away from me, please someone help us!"screamed this person nearby..
Takara heard someone screaming nearby, for help. She ran towards the direction she heard the screaming coming from and there she saw her sister and brother being surrounded by creatures, that she has never seen in her life.
Being concerned more about the safety of her sister and brother, Takara observe the area to make sure there wasnt any other creatures nearby, only seeing 4 of these creature, she charged out of her hiding place and started attacking these creatures.
"Takara watch out" yelled Ren.
"Behind you!!!" screamed Kin.
Fighting with all her might and she was able to get one down while the others stoodby.
Looking around in all directions, to see if there were anymore coming to attack her. Thats when she noticed that one of the creature were standing by Ren and Kin.
Carefully taking her dragger out she eyed the creature and carefully eyed where she wanted to throw her dragger. With careful aim she threw it and struck the creature in the eye. The creature stagger and fell backwards losing the hold of the rope that was tied around Ren and Kin.
Realizing the ropes that the creature was holding around them came loose, Ren and Kin were able to run to safety.
At that moment Takara ran towards the creature that laid on the ground moaning, she took the dragger out of its eye and finished it off.
Not seeing the others, she ran back to Ren and Kin were hiding. Hugging them and actually feeling a sigh of relief knowing that her family is back together.
"Ok guys we need to get out of here before the others come back with help." Takara said.
Ren and Kin nodding in agreement, with that they got their things and ran towards the direction to Chan's place..hoping that they wouldn't run into anymore creatures.

I looked at the three travelers, they were young I thought in shock. Why are they in here? I had been drawn here by there yelling, but after seeing the oldest beat off the creature I felt better and was about to walk away. If they continue yelling and making a lot of noise they're going to draw creatures worse than that last one, out I thought. I looked at them again and slowly made my way towards them. "Hi..." I said and smiled as I stood far enough away as not to scare them. "I'm Runa and am traveling through this forest when I heard your screaming. If you keep that up you're going to attract monsters worse than that last ones you ran from," I said and pointed at the oldest looking female. "You're a good fighter but 1 against that many are no match".

Startled at first when this stranger approached them, Takara looked at the stranger and said, "Hi, I'm Takara and this is my lil brother Kin and lil sister Ren.", looking at her siblings. "Runa you say, Yes you are right we did make a lot of noise and I agree with you that there are far worst creatures in this area."
Looking around to make sure that they were safe so far, "So you are traveling you say, well you are welcome to join us if you so wish."
For like you said, One fighter isnt going to be able to hold off a group of creatures, and as I can see, with the weapon you are holding, that you must be a pretty good fighter as well." Takara said as she and her family started to walk off..
Takara turned and looked at Runa and said , "Are you coming?".....

Seeing Runa nodding in agreement, they headed towards the Dragon Clan where their dear father's friend lives..
"I wonder how he is doing?" Takara said outloud basically to herself..Looking at her lil brother and sister, being so happy that she was able to find them and doing well, a couple scraps and cuts but nothing missing or broken.
"Hey Runa, you are more than welcome to stay with us if you would like too." said Takara as they continued walking...

I look down, "Where are you going...and I don't mean to be pry but why are you heading there", I asked. "....I will stay with you unitl you reach your destination but then I cannot promise anything else...", I said. "Thank-you for allowing me to join you".
