It was early morning when the cheetah cub emerged from her home. Her adopted older sister hadn't been there when she returned the night before. However, the cheetah wasn't worried. It wasn't the first time after all and besides there were many nights that Pilate didn't return back home and was perfectly alright.
The sun was barely coming up, giving everything a golden glow. Breath taking as it was, Pilates mind was purely on food. Breakfast was the most important meal of the day after all and one the cub had rarely skipped on. Her mouth watered some thinking of what this morning would deliver. Perhaps a plump hare or maybe today would be an the remains of a kill left behind by a pride or pack of some sort.
What ever today would bring , the cub was completely up for it. Specially if it was editable.

Adejola wagged his tail as he wandered along, sniffing here and there. The juvinelle was once again out on his own again, but he wasn't worried. Ade never worried about who he might run into. The young pup had no real idea that there were bad people out there. How could there be? Everyone was nice in his eyes.

The young cheetah cub stopped, she was not alone. A different smell had entered the airs unlike anything the cub had ever smelt before. The cub lifter her head up and looked about scanning the horizon, squinting as the sun was starting to rise more.
She was also naive about wandering about on her own believing in the good of others. A fault out in the wild plains of Africa where there were hungry creatures that would love a baby cheetah for breakfast. That concept had yet to dawn on the baby cheetah as she looked about to see where the scent was coming from and who.

The cheetah wasn't the only one who noticed a strange scent in the air. Ade frowned and turned towards it, his nose up in the air, sniffing. There was the source! Wait.... What the heck? Adejola's yellow eyes widened as he stared in confusion at the cheetah, his tail slowly stopping and lowering and his mouth slightly open. After a long moment of just staring, the wild dog shook his head and frowned. "Who are you?"

Pilate frowned at the other frown. It was a mock playful frown, just seemed like the thing to do at the time.
"I'm Pilate," The cheetah tilted her head at the gray creature. He was different then anything she had ever encountered. He wasn't prey but he wasn't a lion, leopard or even a cheetah. How strange.
"What are you?" Her curiosity had taken the better of her.

Adejola was just a confused, and as curious, as Pilate was. He frowned, sniffing at her a bit more, but his tail began to wag again and the wild dog juvi gave a big grin. "My name's Adejola, and I'm a wild dog!" He exclaimed in excitement before he paused and frowned, looking the young cheetah over again, "What are you?"

The cheetah had never meet a wild dog before. So this is what they looked like, much different then the felines but most certainly not prey. Pilate crouched, in a playful manner and swung an unsheathed paw up at Adejola playfully.
"My names Pilate, I'm a cheetah ~ " She almost sung the last part. Cheetah was just a fun word. "So your a wild dog eh? " The radioactive cheetah cub sat up and blinked, staring at Adejola.

As the cheetah swatted playful at Ade, his tail wagged faster and he dropped into a playful crouch, his front legs on the ground and his butt up in the air and wagging. "Yep! I'm a wild dog!" The juvi exclaimed in excitement before he gave a playful yip and pounced the young feline. "I've never met someone like you before! You're really fun to play with though!" He said cheerfully before he nipped lightly at her ear.

The cheetah giggled as she was pounced and nipped at. Though this wild dog was so much different, the two were the same it seemed in spirit at least.
Pilate giggled and tried to wiggle free from the wild dog but she couldn't stop giggling to do so. "Your alot of fun too~!" The cheetah started to purr.

Ade giggled along with Pilate, wagging his tail. That was when Pilate started purring and Ade rolled away from the cheetah in surprise, staring at her. "What's that noise?!" He asked in alarm, his eyes widening. "Is your tummy growling? We can find some food if you want!"

That made the the cheetah laugh for a good long time. "Do wild dog's not purr?" She smiled at the other to let him know it was alright, "It's alright. We do that when we are happy. What do wild dogs do?"
The offer to go find food had not passed right by her. In all honesty , food sounded amazing anytime any where to the small cheetah cub. She loved to hunt and she loved to eat.

"Purring? No... I've never heard that sound before." Ade was delighted by this new discovery, and it was clear in his expression. "We wag our tails when we're happy." He added, wagging his tail in her face to prove it. The juvi took a few steps back before he grinned, and, with his tag still wagging, "Do you want to get some food anyway?"

The cheetah sprung to her feet glad that he had asked that right question.
"Always!... I mean, of course~" The cheetah gave the wild dog pup a grin as she started off into the tall plain grass. What to eat today, that was the question and what was available. The one thing that sucked about being so small in the wild plain's of Africa was that food was not always readily available.

Again, Ade couldn't help a giggle. He rolled to his feet and looked around at their surroundings. "Well come on then, let's find something!" He yipped, before he lowered his nose to the ground and began tracking a tasty wiff of a mouse. About ten minutes later, the pup had found said critter and now offered the squirming thing to Pilate, wagging his tail.

The cheetah was impressed by the others sniffer. Pilate's eyes lowered toward the mouse and then looked back up at Ade. She simply nodded at him, impressed.
"You have quite the sniffer there," The cheetah playfully batter his nose.
