Against him, and in his arms, was a blond fae with shorter hair then his own. Watching as the form in his arms shifted and then the blond head lifted his dark eyes met the blue eyes of his mate.
"It would seem we have awakened my love." His voice was dry and harsh from disuse, an accent of sorts to his voice. He was no elder or anything so old but he also was no newly turned vampire, nor was his mate.
The two had gone to sleep some time ago, mates and sire and child. They were both, he had turned his mate and made his mate his childe as well. "We must go out and leave this place. We will see what the night offers us and we will feed our hunger." And then he would locate paints and he would paint his favorite subject, his muse. He didn't know how long he had slept curled a top his mate, and sire's, chest but he could feel when his mate awake. The sense and knowledge broke through the fog of sleep and roused him slowly. He knew Luca knew when he woke so he didn't bother to lift his head right away.
When he did lift his head he gave a fanged smile to his mate before yawning wide. His nose wrinkled up in a cute manner reminisce of when he was mortal. Stretching himself along his mates form he slowly sat himself up and removed himself from Luca's person.
"Of course, I should like a walk under the darkness of the night." And a hunt would be very nice if only because it would quell the hunger that only now became pronounced. His voice like his mates was also dry and he had an accent. His voice softer then his mates, as it always had been. His words more polite as well, it was normal for him. By the time they had found meals for themselves and finished them Luca had decided to go for a walk at the edge of the clearing to watch the mortals. Get a feel for the mortals here now and what it was they did. Perhaps they would also run into others who hunted the night like they both did.
Dressed in his clothing, which was now clean, it was for once paint free. His mate at his side in a sheet that wrapped and curled about his form. Deep folds adding dark shadows to the sheet he wore as a cover. His mate had long ago given up on clothing and taken to the towel he used to always wear when he would be painted, it was of high quality - silk -.

Duvessa giggled gleefully under her beautifully sculpted masquerade mask. She's had a wonderful night of dancing and socializing. Though any mortal fae would have been distastefully disheveled after a night such as this, Duvessa looked simply radiant in her black ballgown and beautiful mask. Behind her, a different creature entirely followed. Ela was giggling as well, wearing a brightly colored mask which stood out against her own black gown. Her hair was a matted mess from sweating so much, and the feathers on her mask stuck her her fur. Being a mortal (and a kitling), Ela had not emerged from the party quite so gracefully. Duvessa sighed at her little protege, "Oh Ela. Just look at yourself!" she complained, "You look a wreck. Don't you know that a proper lady takes the time to fix her face before venturing out in the public eye?" Ela's ears dropped in dismay, " Oohh Duvessa. I'm sorry! I was just having so much fun that I must have forgotten!" Duvessa only shook her head. As much as she tried, she simply could not seem to be able to turn Ela into a proper lady. She led the girl away from the mortal party up on the hill toward the water below to wash up.

It had been blue eyes which had spotted the one who's voice he heard. Ears had twitched and laid backward when he'd first hears that voice, and then a second. The words didn't matter so much as the voice. It was not like the voice told him much, aside from the fae's were female. He didn't think one would be a Kitling, so the sight of one was a minor surprise.
Watching them he motioned to Luca to remain silent, as if Luca would make a sound now, and followed silently. There was something telling him this fae was not normal. No, she seemed more then proper also. He was sure she too was as they were.
After a moments hesitation he parted fro m the safety of the woods edge, the shadows no longer clinging to him and hiding his form.
"Is it perhaps a rose I spy or some other form of night owl?" He asked his voice no longer dry but rather soft and pleasant to the ear.

Only Duvessa's vampiric ears heard the words at first. The kitling, having no notice, knelt by the water and took her mask off to wash herself.
Duvessa turned her head slowly in the direction of the voice. There, she saw a young-looking male emerging from the shadows. At first, Duvessa's love of young men caused her heart to jump a bit. She'd always been the flirtatious kind, but she quickly noticed him to be one of her own kind. She tilted her head then, wondering why she had never seen him at one of the Toreador parties before.
"Kind sir..." Duvessa said with smile as she approached him.
Ela saw that her mistress was greeting someone now, and ran up to stand by her side. Duvessa looked down at the wet kitling and grimaced, though the face she'd made was still hidden beneath her mask.
Duvessa tried to turn her attention back to the stranger, "You have a familiarity about you, sir...tell me...are you Toreador blood?"

Watching the lovely female approach him Gitano smiled and bowed to her, taking a hand to kiss the back of. "Indeed I am my lady, as is my mate." He spoke kindly while his blue eyes turned to the Kitling with a nod to the small thing. He had never seen one before and thus did not know what on earth he was looking at, but didn't dare say such.
"If it is a familiarity beyond being of the same blood then I cannot help you there. I have only just woken, along with my sire. We two have slept for some time." Though by no means were either elders as she should be able to tell.
"Would it be rude if I inquired your name my lady? I am Gitano." He said lightly.

Duvessa smiled, being pleased by the kiss he left on her hand. There was nothing that Duvessa loved more than a gentleman. She was happy to find that this was indeed one of her own, and that he had a mate nearby who was also Toreador. She reached up and slowly removed her mask, revealing a flawless white face beneath it.
"My name is Duvessa. And this is Ela," she motioned to the kitling, who curtsied awkwardly, "You will have to excuse her. She is still learning how to be a proper lady."
The fact that this stranger and his mate had only just awoken interested Duvessa.
"So you have just awoken? What is your name then, and where is your mate? I would love to escort you to our mansion and show you to a room you may share."

"To be proper in all manner takes time. The fact she shows more then some, is quite a good thing." The blond replied even as he looked over the females unmasked face, she was quite attractive. Were he not as he was, persuasion wise, and with a mate he may have found himself asking her out. However, he was a Trouble, or had been, and possessed a mate both things making that something which simply would never cross his mind.
"My mate is in the shadows watching us." He answered looking around before he found just where he knew Luca would be hiding and raising a hand made a gentle 'come here' motion for him. Finger curling and extending, then curling again, in a beckoning manner.
From the darkness Luca came. He was obviously a painter, his clothing alone gave it away. Seeing him and his lovely Gitano side by side it was obvious what they were to each other, master and muse, sire and childe, and mates.
While his mate was light in colors he was dark and light browns himself. Placing a paw on his mates shoulder he bowed then to the female vampire. "It is a pleasure, I'm Luca." He introduced himself while keeping his hand on his mates shoulder.
"I must thank you for your offer." Though he did plan on he and his mate finding their own place. Having somewhere to be till then was very nice, and he was grateful for it.

The excitement Duvessa felt as Luca emerged from the darkness was nearly more than she could contain. Duvessa was very proud of her Toreador clan, and she loved to see new faces...or rather old ones in this case...who might accompany her some days at the mansion. Duvessa curtsied in return to the new stranger's bow, and eyed Ela as she did the same.
"Luca," names rolled so beautifully off her tongue, "It is so wonderful to meet you and your mate. We shall have to have a grand ball at the mansion or celebrate both of your awakening."
"Duvessa loves to have parties!" Ela chimed in happily.
Duvessa nodded her head slowly, "Yes...I do love parties. But even more so, I love new companions! Come, both of you. Allow me to show you to the Toreador Mansion."
Duvessa turned slowly toward the woods, watching over her shoulder to see if the two males would come.

"I would like to see one of these parties you like to hold." Once for their awakening, now that was a surprise even though it shouldn't have been really, it was how his clan was wasn't it.
Turning his dark, chocolate, eyes on Ela he nodded his head. "What one of our clan does not love parties." He stated, no need to make it a question. He doubted any Toreador disliked parties.
"A mansion for the whole clan? But it does not sound like it is inhabited by an but you both." Gitano stated even as he and Luca followed the two females.
"I did not think it would be a permanent residence for us, but if it is to be I thank you very much." It was a pleasant surprise to have the offer of a home to sleep every day that would be a steady place of residence.

"Well, it was meant for the entire clan to be able to call home. Some keep their own home in the woods, but tend to keep to Toreador owned land. Others have moved on all together," Duvessa sighed and shook her head, "Sadly I often feel as though only Ela and myself live in the mansion anymore. The Toreadors are not as full of life as they once were. Ela and I sometimes walk the halls all night and never once come upon anyone to speak to. You saw yourself that I was coming from a mortal party up on that hill! That is all I can do, for the Toreadors are quiet and we have not had a party in quite some time..."
This was all fact, and it saddened Duvessa greatly. She hung her head a bit as she led the gentlemen through the woods.

"Perhaps it is time we liven up the manor and plan a party. I'm sure we can find others and discuss the planning of a party with them. It may take some time but a party held by us, the Toreador! Would be worth it." Gitano spoke his blue eyes bright at the idea.
Following behind her with Luca he was sure the three of them could change things, make this clan wake up! And be noticeable, at least it's members not the fact they were vampires. They would be the hosts of the best parties!
Placing a paw on his excited mated shoulder he qatched Gitano quite down. Smiling, pleased with himself. He pulled his mate against himself. A kiss to Gitano's blond hair. "Be quite my love, we will assist in whatever ways we can with all members of our clan to help it. You needn't become so loud and excited however. We will soon be busy, I'm sure of it."
And then his mate would complain about all the work, even though Gitano loved planning things. Gitano liked to plan things while he liked to paint himself, and Gitano was always his muse so his mate did double duty really.

Duvessa smiled at Gitano's willingness to help. She wanted to believe that they really could do something to help bring the Toreadors back to life...so to speak.
"Oh! oh! That would be so wonderful!" Ela chimed, "Duvessa would be so happy if we had a big grand party!"
Duvessa nodded her head, "I would be very happy, but it will take some work," she knew that Luca was right. They would just have to see.

"A grand party would be wonderful. The planning would take a lot but I don't doubt we could do it." The blond vampire said brightly, though he was sure to keep his voice down.
It was true he liked planning parties and would complain about nothing to do but the moment they got inundated with work he would also complain. It was just how he was, and he knew while it may annoy his mate it also was found endearing by Luca.
"We will see my muse, we shall see. We should first seek out what members of this clan that we can find and gather them then." And together discuss and plan, then prepare, for a grand party.

Duvessa nodded her head silently as the kitling began to hop about.
"We're here! We're here!" Ela called out as she ran ahead.
Sure enough, just ahead was the great Toreador Mansion. It was a beautiful place, glistening in all its splendor, but it looked somehow sad and abondoned as well. Duvessa smiled though when she saw it.
"Welcome home," she said to her new friends as they entered the gates.

Gitano looked up at the manor and nodded his head in approval, it was lovely but even he noted the sadness about it. "It's...dead. No life to it...we must deal with this. It is unacceptable." He stated nodding his head more.
"Thank you for welcoming us, this is most certainly our home more then anywhere else." He stated.
"Especially if the leader of our clan is awake or will be soon. We cannot let her see this." He said slowly looking over their home. "We must work to find every member of our clan." He stated calmly, while embracing his blond mate.
"Hopefully this place will loose it's empty feeling with us now here, and even more so should we find other members of the clan and bring them here." He said thinking of how this empty feeling needed to be handled. This place needed to be filled with art and hosting parties and doing many more things.
