She was not sure how her mother would take it, if she would accept it... well she wasn't sure about anything anymore. The more often she visited her mother the more distant she felt from the once great 'warrior'. It was like she was a shell of herself, going through her days with no thoughts or emotions, lacking the passion she used to cling desperately to.
Vi had become a mother early on, following in her mother's paw prints. She'd ironically had three boys, where her mother had given birth to three girls. But she'd also been blessed with the birth of one female, her princess, the light of her life. And what more could she of wanted out of life? It had been a one time fling, she could no longer recall the male's face though she was sure if she studied her now grown cubs enough she'd piece together what he'd looked like. But it had all been so easy, no commitment, no problems.. no arguements or declarations of love.
Her tail flicked as her mind shifted over to Ukir. Oh what a mess that was... such a horribly confusing mess, but one she accepted. She did love the lion she once hated... or perhaps never had hated him, just resented the fact that her heart was harboring these secret and mostly unwanted feelings.
Well, it didn't matter. She wanted to settle down... or maybe start knew, she still hadn't spoken to Ukir about if he wanted to stay in the pridelands or not. She sort of wanted to leave this place all behind.. she'd built up so many walls and predjudices from this place... would her kids even accept that she was willing to birth another litter?
Her ears pressed against her skull as she neared her mother's den; so many things to talk through... if only she had a friend instead of just a mother.

Eusi had withdrawn into herself, feeling as thoguh she was nothing anymore. Long since had she cut ties with Imari, her one time lover and mate. But that had been something... she hadn't quite wanted. She wanted to be free, unbound by any male's paws! But where had that gotten her? She raised a brow as if prompting her mind to answer as her gaze floated along the pridelands visible from just outside of her den. Here, still here with nothing to show for it. Yes she'd traveled, she'd seen some other lands... but why had she come back here?
She let go a deep sigh that had been building within her lungs and shut her dark crimson eyes, tail flicking as she debated if it would be good to move on with her life or not. She was not old, she was still quite in her prime... but how she felt old here! A daughter with cubs already... what of her other two daughters who she hadn't heard of in ages? She'd seen her own daughter in the distance with some red baffoon more often than not, and realized that for her... well being a single mother was not something she wanted.
Speak of the devil! Just ahead she could see a golden spec coming into view, and as it lumbered forward it was taking on the slim and muscular form of her daughter. Eusi rolled her dark eyes slightly and tried to put on a pleasant face for the lioness who was opposite in her own coloring, mainly bright with dark accents while she herself was mainly dark with bright accents.
Eusi stretched her long paws out and slowly rose, tail flicking as she slowly moved a bit ahead, bumping heads with her daughter when she finally arrived. "Vikali, what merits such a visit?" She purred out, her voice laced with sarcasum for her daughters hardly ever showed their faces to her these days.

Vi sighed as she heard the words forming out of her mother's maw as her head bumped fondly up against the darker lioness'. 'As if a daughter can't just visit her mother?" She purred back, her tone almost mirroring her mother's. Of course, this was where she got her wit and her sarcastic nature from. Probably her anger too... which she could have cursed her mother for!
She slowly sat and her tail flicked as her gaze shifted to her mother's den, her thoughts to what her mother even did anymore. Did she still hunt, train her body? Perhaps not. "I've actually come because.... there's a lot going on in my life now." She mumbled, her eyes meeting her mothers.
"I just thought... it would be best to speak to someone else about it instead of trying to lock it all away inside where it becomes so damn frustrating.." Didn't her mother ever have thoughts like that?

Eusi smirked at her daughter's greeting and felt proud for a few fleeting seconds. Weaker lionesses might have grown embaressed or flustered- no, she liked the type of lioness who could fling those words right back! She never understood how Vikali was such good friends with that Koy when her personality was as it was... though she supposed it was better that Vikali had at least one friend... eusi's ears flattened a little as she realized that perhaps Vikali was doomed to repeat her own mistakes. A sour thought, one she pushed away.
"From the gossip and the scent I'd say it was a male." She said cooly, watching as her daughter sat and began to explain. Eusi did not sound impressed, infact she sounded a little annoyed. "Your cubs were not enough for you then?" She said, all of her judgemental nature seeming to form into her words.
She sighed as if she would give up on trying to understand and slowly sat, tail curling about her paws. "Well, was I right?" She said slowly, one brow raising with an amused smile lazily making it's way onto her maw. Certainly it was the cynical lioness mother facing the love-struck, adolescent daughter. Vikali would probably have a burst of anger about this, but eusi no longer cared to block her personality and change it for the benefit of not offending others. "I hope you've come to me with more than that obvious piece of news."

Vi's eyes narrowed as her mother hit the problem right on it's nose, though she was not very kind about it. Of course, could Vi rightly expect such a mother to ever approach such a situation- a situation she'd never want for herself, in a calm, kind and caring manner? She was sure her mother cared, she just showed her love in different ways... still she pissed vi off though! She sneered slightly, eyes narrowing. "Mother you should know best that cubs are only so good to care for while they are still cubs, yes?" She should have reigned in her anger before answering, she knew that was why Eusi had even given birth to her cubs- they were something to train, a fun new game. It was odd that sort of love... her mother would love her always... but what could she do now that her three daughters were grown and gone?
"All of my children are going about their own lives, they don't quite have time for me." She said, her anger dying and her voice growing cool as she raised a brow and watched her mother as if to state; wasn't it the same with you? "And so... my life has taken a turn to that sort of thing... yes it's a male." She added irritably, as if it wasn't obvious from the beginning! Of course, her mother could have played along at least for a little bit.
Vi's ears flattened and she sighed, maybe her mother hadn't been the best to discuss this all with. Uncaring, cold b***h... well, as she tried to present herself anyhow. "I've been thinking of leaving here." She gestured. "I don't think it's right for me."

Eusi flinched slightly, funny how moments ago she thought that her daughter inheiriting her sarcasum and sharp tongue had been a good thing. "Yes and then even when they've gone and left you completely alone you realize you should have raised them different since they're such little shits now." She said, though her tone had lost the sarcastic edge and was still playful, she didn't actually think Vikali was a little s**t. "Able to out-do you every time." Though, she suspected that must have been the right way of things.
It was almost funny for Eusi to be speaking to Vi about her cubs, about her own grandcubs. Ugh, what a world! Still, just because her daughters were starting families of their own... that shouldn't make her feel old, should it? Still, she supposed she should at least be a little accepting for what Vi had chosen- it hadn't been so long ago that she'd tried that same path with Imari, had it? "I adimit.. I have seen you with him once or twice. Bright." She added in an amused tone, though it was obvious she wasn't referring to any sort of intelligence and rather she was speaking of his coloring. "Though now that I think about it your cubs are quite bright too.. aren't they?" The amusement was growing. "Perhaps you're just attracted to such things." Ah, and there was the teasing.
The amused smile fled from her face after a moment though. "Leaving?" She prompted, both brows raising. Hah, as if the idea didn't mirror her own. What did the pridelands have to offer for such lionesses as her daughter and she? "After finding such a catch?" She added, the smirk returning. "Or do you mean to say... not only are you willing to give your life to a male but you're also off to look for adventure.. something new?"

Vi snorted at her little quip, though she said nothing because she knew her mother was not trying to antagonize her. Still, there was a hidden compliment in her mother's words... she must have been proud that Vi had turned out the way she did. At least, Vi hoped so.
She did not like that her mother had seen her with Ukir though- when? Ugh, and she had to comment about his equally bright pelt! So what if he was... red. "Hmm, I'm not sure what I am attracted to from him... just that. I am, and it happened." She shrugged and sighed, as if fate was cruel. Still, a smile had found it's way to her maw as she thought of Ukir.
"I have to... speak to him. He'd not from the pridelands. He's a rogue, but I am unsure how long he wants to stay in these lands... he's already stayed so long." Had that all been for her? Doubtful, at best. She shook her head at her mother's last comment and stood, sighing. "It's not my life, it isn't as if he has instant control over it or something." She growled, deciding she better wrap up the conversation, maybe it had been a mistake to ask her mother about it all.

Eusi rolled her eyes- is that really what her daughter thought? That her life wasn't over the moment she agreed to be anything with her lion-friend? Of course, she might not have thought that considering her fling when she was younger... well, live and learn.
She bumped her head with Vikali's and sighed softly. "Well, if you decide to go your mother would appreciate a quick meet and greet and a goodbye, alright?" She smirked, tail flicking before she turned without another word and slipped back into her den.

Vi purred slightly as her mother's head bumped hers for the second time this meeting. Ukir, meet her mother? She hadn't even thought about that... but at least it would not be a long meeting, right? Just a farewell.. as her mother had said.
She sighed and smiled before turning to go on her own way, to find Ukir and discuss matters.

She hoped her daughter would make the right choice. Out of her three girls, Vikali reminded her the most of herself. Though more reckless, probably. She chuckled softly and shook her head. What to do with her golden little girl? Only time would tell.END
