This is a project I learned in an after-school program. They considered it a craft, so I managed to keep it! biggrin The doll is supposed to make you worry less about whatever you worry about. You tell your worries to the doll, put it under your pillow, and it will worry for you. I had some success with this, and I'm a really anxious person.
You will need a few things: A wooden figurine, or just a rectangle of wood, whatever's easiest to obtain. Popsicle sticks work too! (Just make sure they are clean...) Some fabric, felt, yarn, something for clothes and hair. Again there are many options. Hot glue or superglue to put him/her together. I guess white glue would work, but it's not very durable, and if you toss and turn like me, it'll get messed up. Markers or paint for the face and details.

First, you need a body. You could glue popsicles in a cross shape or make a (LOL) stick person. Or, if you are using a figurine or block/cylinder of wood, you are done.
You can go ahead and draw/paint the face (and maybe hair) on now. You don't have to be too detailed if you don't want to be.
Glue the fabric/felt/yarn/etc. on to make clothes. You could add detail here too.
Add hair, if you haven't already.
My worry doll has arms, but you don't need them.
Best Wishes and Sweet Dreams!

Just a question, Do you have to make your own? I'm asking because I have some tiny worry dolls at home, and I have limited resources in the dorm.

We made these in Girl Scouts when I was little! I have forgotten all about them. Thanks for the little reminder about them. (:
