A dwelling majestic forest where life seems to flourish. Outside the perimeter of this lush forest has rolling fields of grasslands mixed with wildflowers in certain patches. Air is clean and fresh, and it's obvious that this is a place on earth which has not been tainted by man.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hatsume::. The young kitsune seemed to have found herself in the fields just outside the forest walls. The high flourishing trees and foliage making the air smell so wonderful. Least to say, the floral patches in the fields attracted this foxen female. Curiously crawling to a wide pink and purple wild flower patch, the kit snuggled her face within the sweet aroma of it all. Until a simple change was made, her small and short fluffy foxen tail would suddenly spike up followed by a sharp yelp. ;--; Unknowingly to this young shinigami, there was a earwig like bug also enjoying this same bundle of flowers. So when she snuggled and nuzzled these plants, the pinching bug defended itself and it's home... striking her straight on her large alert left foxen ear. Aside from now keeping a short distance from the natural flower garden, her hands came and caressed the stringing spot on her ear tip. Ohhh! How could such tiny things hurt you so badly? Thus, she continued to whimper in her small irritative pain.

Setzer trailed along through a large forest. The greenery really brought back thoughts of the planet before he had left for the Sereitei. He inhaled a large sum of air, before dispelling it through his lips in a contented sigh. His large tails were raised high, despite his robes flowing gently from his torso. His long ears perked from a sound heard from across the path. Standing still, he pulled out a set of cards and began to shuffle them furiously. He pulled out the top card and examined it. Approving of the result, he placed the cards away and began to walk toward the sound, sensing he wasn't in any immediate danger. The new path he found was lined with various plants, flowers and the like. He took air in again to smell the area around him as he continued to walk, waiting to come across the source of the sound.

»‡«Hatsume»‡« Still wincing and trying to recover from the pain in her sensible ears, something mixed in with the scent of the flowers and forest. Her head tilted back as she inhaled the smell, stretching her head in the direction of where it was coming from. Curious and thus distracted from the former pinch of the bug, the young kitsune followed her nose from this.... familiar aroma. It was something she hadn't smelt in a long time, so playfully and without much thought of how others saw her. Hatsume crawled through the grassy fields in the direction of Setzer, racing quickly because she was eager to figure it out. Brushing past afew more bushes and flower bundles. Her view was nearly blinded where.. she'd most likely find herself bumping into Setzer. @.@;; Rolling back in confusion of what she might have just hit.. >.> Who knows? It could've been a rock too.

Setzer caught the scent of the other kitsune, and found himself eying her closely. Noticing from the number of tails her youth, he smiled and continued to watch, allowing her to play her game. But, she neared closer, and he stopped, which only let the youngling hit his leg. Setzer smiled as she rolled back, then soon walked forward and kneeled. "Are you alright?" Setzer asked, in a worried manner. A hand reached inside of his robes and pulled out a small vial, of which he placed to her lips and slid the liquid down her throat.

»‡«Hatsume»‡« As she rolled back and haulted to a stop, the single tailed kitsune did her best to try to recover. As her vision came back, she found Setzer knelling down to her. Ahh! The scent! Kitsune; that's what filled her nostrils! Acouple innocent blinks was the first response to his worrying question. Then those multiple tails came into her focus behind him. So many! All big and long and fluffy! "Aye, I'm okay. O-o Are you okay?" She tilted her head, stretching to the left to get a better view from behind him, as if she was in awe of all those wonderful tails. Her own single short fluffy one stood proudly upwards; obviously she was interested in this new male kitsune. Flickering her ears as her returned her ruby eyed gaze towards him. Simply in awe, it's been too long since she's seen another of her kind.

Setzer took hold of the youngling's hand, and pulled her up before letting go. He was that she was rather interested in his tails, so he slid one in front of him toward her. "It's great to hear you're well. By the way, you may call me Setzer." He smiled again, and turned a bit to show off the rest. Setzer stared upward, looking at the sky, and saw it would soon be nightfall. "Mayhaps we shall turn in for the night?" He asked, turning toward her.

»‡«Hatsume»‡« Being on her foxen feet the young kitsune was immediately interested as one of those bushy long tails came her way, it was just about certain she couldn't resist from wanting to touching it. Eyes wide with glee as her digits felt through the marvelous fur resulting a purr sound typ vibration in her vocals. Satifaction... it ran through her veins with such joy. Today was becoming a great one indeed! But her joy was pacericly interrupted as his voice spoke out, allowing her focus to gaze up on him again. "Oh! I'm Hatsume!" She quickly lowered her head in a bow; hoping to gain forgiveness for her rudeness. "Ukita, Hatsume! It's very nice to have met you Setzer sama!" Hatsume's voice nearly sounded nervous as she spoke, but all aside her attention went directly back to those tails as he turned around. O__o Like a deer in headlights... My goodness! So many! So.. big and long and fluffy! Not even her old friend Kisu sama the kyubi back in her living days had such tails.. but then again, Kisu always hide in a smaller form soo.. But that shouldn'y matter! Still attracted to his tails, the shinigami kit walked to his side and nodded to his next set of words. "You have a place here? I was just visiting... But you're right. Sun should fall soon." The feeling of this all, fresh air... all this joy and moment of freedom in what seemed to be so peaceful, this is how she wanted to feel... not like a stressed adult, but like her own age. ~,..,~ Purrrrrrrr~ the rumbling pleased vocalization still slipped from under her breathe. Today was good...

Setzer bowed his head in return, and continued to let her enjoy her fun with his tails. "A place? No, one I have not." Setzer placed a hand to his chin, and began to think. "Well, we can stay here tonight. My fox fire can keep the area lit, and I'm sure sleeping outside shouldn't be too big of a problem?" He lifted his hand and pointed further down the path, to a small clearing. The sky began to grow darker, and Setzer summoned a small fox fire, in many bright little orbs surrounding himself and his companion. Slowly he held out his arm for the young one to take. "Shall we be off?"

»‡«Hatsume»‡« As Setzer spoke out, the young kitsune and shinigami listened with such interest. She felt so alive at this time and place. Without delay she responded with a gentle voice. "...No! Shouldn't be a problem at all! It's so nice here, I wouldn't be surprised if this place was protected by mystical creatures." She gasped in that thought, lifting her hands to her chest as she swayed her tail. "Ohh! Maybe that's why people haven't ruined this forest yet!" She smiled widely before she turning her red hued eyes to where he was pointing. It looked nice to rest at, and the sky was being swallowed up by the night. It reminded her of a black soft blanket slipping over the light. It happened to fast here! Just like back at home..... Then, her dazed state was interrupted by Setzer's Foxfire. So pretty indeed! It made her curve a crescent smile on her tender lips, taking his hand and nodding to his new friend. Hatsume lifted up her other hand and allowed her own small foxfire to be created. It was much weaker, but she was still young.... it hadn't fully grown just like her. "...I can do it too! Hehehheehaa!" She laughed, ohhh! This was so wonderful!

"That's great." Setzer grabbed hold of the youngling's hand and held firmly, yet gently. His lips curved into a smile as he watched the youngling as she playfully danced around, and created her own Foxfire. "It's wonderful, keep that up, and you'll be able to do that wonderfully." Setzer began to lead Hatsume through the path. The Foxfire of his slowly following the two of them as they made it toward the clearing. Once the pair made it to the destination, he collected some rocks and made a small circle of the stones. His eyes closed in concentration as he created several various Foxfires above it for a dim light, that would at least keep away many various creatures that may cause harm to them. He sat down and raised his tails.

Hatsume:::. Hatsume enjoyed her time still, encouragement from Setzer lead her heart to warm up. ^-^ Thus, she followed at his side with her hand being held until their destination was made. She curiously watched him place stones or rocks in a circle, and seemed deeply focused on all the various foxfires. Sitting down just before Setzer had her eyes turned to face him and his lifted tails. She couldn't help but to be anxious to get her own tails. All her life the kitsunes she knew sprouted tails like weeds. But she always stayed the same, if anything it only grew in centimeters. Why was this? She never understood.... It plagued her mind; parents never explained such things, so she couldn't resist but to ask about it. "Did you get your tails from gaining powers or experience too?" Her voice was soft. That's what Kisu told her, work at learning and stuff, and she'd get them... but nothing came. It was so frustrating! =( Watching all these beautiful tails without being able to show off her own.

Setzer looked in the direction of his companion, his ears perking at the words in her question. He smiled to himself. "Well, I can't tell you everything, but..." Setzer's kind eyes stared at the flames above the rocks, before closing his eyes. "Experience is the best teacher a Kitsune can have. Through development of your arts. Knowledge is another friend. But, again, experience is the teacher. You must do whatever it takes to learn various things, and to try and experience all you can." He opened his eyes again, meeting with those of Hatsume's. "And that's, really all I can tell you. You can't expect to learn everything at once."

Hatsume::. She listened carefully, even tilting her head to the side in a curious fashion at some times. Her tail perked upwards letting the end of it curl up in a Spitz-dog like manner, giving it a curly look. "Yeah, but I learned alot just like Kisu-sama said. I had alotta powers and... Yet my tail stayed the same. I can't understand why everybody else I knew gained their tails, but mine wouldn't even grow let alone get another!" She had this worried expression as if maybe something was wrong with her. Frowning with flattened ears, she looked over her shoulder and gently caressed her short small tail. "...Sorry if you don't want to talk about it... It's just I don't get to meet others to might understand is all. I feel like I was left behind in the dark. It's odd though, because when I died and came here to the soul Society, most of my powers died away along with." She sighed, trying to let it go maybe. Gazing quietly at the foxfire, she attempted a smile... letting it stay on her face. The night was so calming for her, so beautiful.

Setzer smiled, and placed a hand on the top of her head, stroking gently. "It'll come. They come and go." He finished petting her ears and placed his hand back to himself. "Don't worry so much about it. Give it time, and they shall grow. Try to be positive." He leaned forward, stretching his back, listening to it crack. "Besides, you'll have a long time to get your tails Hatsume." He smiled at her again, closing his eyes before slowly laying down on the ground, glancing over at the companion he made. Setzer lifted his hand, and slowly, the Foxfire began to grow brighter. Another wave scattered them around the two, hopefully keeping any unwanted creatures from coming near.

(Long post. ^^;; But it has meaning!!) »‡«Hatsume»‡« The peaceful night continued on. All mostly silent aside from the waking nocturnal creatures starting their daily life, and ofcourse the words of Setzer. His actions consumed her entirely; for she never before felt so much at ease. The gentle adult kitsune's hands giving their comforting caress to her soft haired head and ears. The young kit of a shinigami couldn't resist but to lean into the wonderful feeling. Not even her parents shown such compassion towards her. Aye, there was her adopted older siblings; Zanza was the one who she was most closest too. He gave her the most compassion in her entire life, but still it could not challenge this blessed feeling. As he spoke, she did nothing but take it to heart and fully trusted his promising speech. Hatsume was in this deep abyss of calmness as she nodded in agreeing to his words. "Yeah, you're right Setzer sama...It's never good to be doom & gloom. Gloomy thoughts are bad, I'll love my tail... and myself nomatter how small or weak it may be." She paused during the time he had taken back his hand and settled down, his own actions of settling down automacity encouraged her to do the same. Hatsume admired him deeply even within this short amount of time, she laid down on her side as if nearly curling up into a warm fluffy ball. Her red darkend eyes gazed at the final foxfire flash to keep them safe before raising a smile to her lips. But in all this peace and joy, and love. The young kitsune couldn't help but for thoughts and memories to evade her mind. This is what she wanted so badly when she was alive. This is what she worked so hard for, yet was cursed with lies, scandal's, betrayal, rumors, & nothing but traitors. Even those rare handful of people who did not betray, had left her behind with no reason. It was so hard, so dim and dark. Never before did darkness feel so good and sweet to her; just to let all that agony be gone & away.... and all she had to do is join the darkness; be bad. But that wasn't her, she fought against it and suffered trying to do the right thing..... maybe... dying, and going to the Soul Society; becoming a Shinigami, she felt like it was a award, a prize and gift for all her hard work on keeping good hearted. As these thoughts wiped away from her head, and her eyes went into a daze as they stared at Setzer calmly still with her smile which barely hung on. Slowly, her curled up body uncoiled and she slowly crawled over closer to him, attempting to curl up besides him instead. "Good night." She paused, something egging her on to say yet she was nervous to ask of it. Pushing away the nervous feeling and not using fear as a shield she spoke one last time curiously and softly. "Setzer sama...? Would it be okay, if I called you uncle?" She was sincere in these words, truly meaning it as she closed her eyes and tried to get ready to sleep.
