We're working on getting members and participation, right? Well, it would help if they had something to participate in! Let's brainstorm for events/contests/etc.

One idea brought to me by a friend and member in another guild: A "Who Do You Want to be Today?" Avatar Contest.
Her original idea was to make an avatar using one of the styles mentioned in the song. Pretty clever, eh?
So, yay or nay? I thought it was a pretty neat idea.

WOW! That's a REALLY good idea. Tell your friend thanks alot. Now we need to pull the money together for a prize, and a way to get the point across! Wow, you think she would want to join the guild herself?

WONDERFUL! We can have it cost 10 gold to join and have a poll to give people the 10 gold! Wait no that wouldn't work, it'd have to cost more to give anyone a reasonable prize without us putting in over 70% of it ourselves. Especially cause I was hoping we could take a small portion of the profit and give it to Charities, for the charities, for the people the charities will give to, and for us because it'll get our name out there.

Indeed, indeed....hmm.... well, we could use that give people the money with the pole idea to have a lottery, that way we don't spend any of our money(we of coarse use the money they sent us for the prize) hoefully enough people will enter that they will be happy enough with the prize that is not all of the money we got so we can use that as the prize for the Avatar Contest (we'd have to run the lottery outside of the guild since it has nothing to do with Elfman.)

1. We go to the Lotto and Money Games Mini Forum
2. We make a thread that is a lottory.
3. We add a poll to give people the 10 gold it will cost to buy one ticket. There wil be 10,000 slots.
4. Lots of people buy tickets tickets. Slots get filled up.
5. We use the random number function on the posts to chose a winner.
6. From the 100,000 gold we have accumulated we give the winners 50k.
7. We take the other 50k and have that be the prize for winning the "Who Do You Want To Be Today" Avatar contest. We will charge 300 gold for entries.
8. We will get 3k for each week of the contest. There will probebly be about 5 weeks. So we will get 15k.
9. We give 10k to a charity.
10. We put the 5k into the guild account to make the subforums!
It works out quite nicely I think. Everybody is happy!
