I got you all excited, didn't I? Well, there are no knew albums planned for release just yet... but, if they do come out with another album which is most likely, what do you think it's going to be like?
Will they go back to an older, more punk sound, or do you think they'll stay in the AI slightly softer type music?

Discuss. mmmm i think that they are going to do something like nimrod, not too soft, not too hard.... but not something political like american idiot, maybe they are going to do something more personal, talking about "them"

I would hope they would do a more Dookie like album, but they probably wont.
If they make another album it will most likely be a lot like American Idiot.
Probably a little less of a story and more about them, which could lead to some older sounding material.
But whatever they put out it's going to be good. To me at least.

Discuss. mmmm i think that they are going to do something like nimrod, not too soft, not too hard.... but not something political like american idiot, maybe they are going to do something more personal, talking about "them" who knows, probably not even green day themselves, as long as it isnt any more or as commercial as american idiot then i dont care, something like 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hour would be nice, as long as they don't end up sounding like every other band.

I think it will be something between AI and their older stuff, tough I think it will be more like AI

I think they'll do something like Warning again. They've grown up, I don't think their music will go back Dookie style unfortunately.

They are going to write a cd about unicorns and bumble bees...
Um... I dunno I aswell hope something along the lines of 1,039/smoothed out slappy hours, but thats doubtful. I dont think they will go towards pop more so. A warning type sound would be nice. Could end up like after dookie, they had a big cd then the next, Insomniac, wasnt too popular but enjoyable for the true fans.

They said they released IS as a way to move past the old...so they're probably sticking to the AI sound, though I am sure it'll be a little more honed...

I would really hope they would go back to the way they were when they released Dookie, that would be nice. But I wouldn't be dissapointed with whatever they threw out! 3nodding

They might go more to AI. They can't reach the sound of the past, and those CDs are the ones that I like. Unfortunately, I think it might be a more AI sound than anything. Although some of their AI songs were pretty good. I like the other CDs better, but AI isn't a horrible CD. There are just two songs I cant stand Any guesses?

Well they might do something totaly different since they did something different with american idiot and got so much fame for it. I do like dookie more though...But with Green Day who knows!

in an article i read Billie Joe said "I felt like I was too old to be angry anymore. I didnt want to come across as the angry older guy. Its sexy to be an angry young man, but to be a bitter old b*****d is another thing altogether." hes talking about older albums and how you gotta change to find a new groove. so you probly wont see them doing anything like Dookie anymore.
