I bought myself an Ibanez AX 7221. I wanted a 7 string I could kick around without breaking the bank. I'm really enjoying it. But I just found out that Ibanez released a new RG 7321 with Cherry burst Maple top. Oi. Oh well. Here is a pick I got offline of what the guitar looks like. The scale length is a little short, but its a begginer level.

How much you pay for that?
I want a 7 string too, but I hate the strat style bodies and I don't want to blow more than $300-400 on it. I wiiiiish I could find someone to sell me their 7 string Jackson kelly. They are discontinued. crying

I payed about $270.
I know I got ripped off though. Brand new its only about 250, but I really wanted a 7. I should have just waited and saved back and additional 130 and bought the 7321. Oh well. I played the Dean RC7 the day before yesterday. My Lawd is it sexy. eek

I've been lookin at this one lately. I'm really not a fan of the strat style bodies and I don't want to compromise, this one looks like a decent 7 string. Anyone play one of these or hear anything about them? Good or bad?

Anyone play one of these or hear anything about them? Good or bad? From what I've hear about xiphoses is that they have balance problems. Other wise they are great guitars. They come with Dimarzio deactivators and have a neckthru design. I just wish a store near me had one, so I could try one out.

They told me that you can tape something flat to the left leg of it and it'll do the trick. Not that big a deal to me if you've ever seen my other beautiful monsters of metal. haha. I think there is a place near by that has one but its the 6 string.

I'm not the biggest guitar wiz but I do own and play guitar rather well But whats the name of the seventh string? =P And does it really effect guitar playing? Besides adding a little more range.

I normally don't like any strat style guitars but I will have to say those are exceptional.

I had a guitar instructor when I was 14 that though every song that was not in standard tuning was on a 7 string. stare Though that one's a beauty.
