Me and my co worker have a very special job, it is so unique that if we take one step in the wrong direction or even breath when wer not supposed to, we die. No if, ands or buts.

Our job is to cross the "CalRiver" and to climb over the "DownWall", but only when we reach the other side does our job truely begin. Once over the wall we must hide until night fall, with the moon as our ally, we tramp through the sleeping town. In search of fresh meat, the humans we capture are silenced in anyway possible. We do not kill the humans, that is a job for the vampires, we simply stun them until we are able to go back across the wall and river.

The humans we capture are then sold at the Marketplace, there they are used for whatever the need. Most are sold "as is" to hungry vampires looking for a meal, others are put to work as slaves. Some, the lucky ones, are converted to our species, they become werewolves bound to the ones who created them. But this part isnt what we worry about.

Me and my partner only worry about the capture and transfer of humans. Vampires give us specifics and we find the perfect human, i guess you could call us "The match makers from hell."

David was now old enough to be out a couple minutes before sunset, the vampire had made plans the day before to meet up with some hunters. So, he had spent the night in a farm house, nobody lived in this rutty old shack, this place was used by vampires to sleep durning the day, if they happened to be far from home and without a coffin. It was a fifteen mile hike to the pub where he was to meet the hunters, but since David was a vampire. He had learned to groundjump, that ment that David could teleport with just a thought and a kick of his feet.

The road he traveled on was lit orange by the setting sun, to a vampires eyes, the light was enough to be daytime. David walked a few feet, then took a stance that looked like a marathon runner. His body disappeared in a cloud of dust, only to reappear a mile ahead, on the same road and with David in a different stance. He did this many times, untill the roofs of houses could be seen at a distance. Then David walked the rest of the way to the pub, by now it was nighttime, with no light in the sky besides stars and the moon.

When he reached the front doors, David stopped and took the time to adjust his clothing. He pulled his collar firmly, and made sure is tie was strait. He pushed through the double doors and entered the room with grace, David found Fawn easily but from the look of her, he could tell that she had been waiting a while and was now extremely drunk.

David called to the female werewolf, "Fawn! Your drunk arent you?" The vampire grinned as he took a seat next to her, "Look at you, cant even keep your damn eyes open."

Nimhneach walked into the bar, she saw the familiar Deps and sh scowled inwardly she hated her "duty" as a hunter to drag humans from their homes to be slaves or worse to the children of the night. Nimhneach walked to the bar. She sat down and faced the other female, I am here to fulfill my sentance that the so caled council of elder's has placed on me. Now what's the quote for tonight, so I can get this over with and get the hell out of here! Nimhneach looked at the three people in the room Deps the aristocratic vampire and two of her own kind if, she could even be said to have a kind since she belonged to no one, and owed no one her loyalty. No amount of punishment, beatings or torture at the hands of werewolves of vampires would change that!

Greetings Faun, my name is Nimhneach the hunt is only as hard as the prey we catch, most human are fairly stupid, it all depends what the vampire wants. however Faun I am not sure that you are in any condition to hunt. Nimhneach's voice was icy and regimental. SO, you are the master this night what do you want for dinner Deps. Nimheach dipped her head but she stared diectly in deps eyes.

Now your order should not be a problem I happen to know where a bordong school for young noble human females is located. You are either the pickiets eater I have ever met, or is it more simple and you intend to "grow" your own food from now on. Nimehech never took her eyes from Deps as he spoke many of her female assosiates thought this one to be handsome and charming, I suppsoe they could look past the deamon within. she thought to herself. Well Faun I know where to find females do you know where to find any males? Nimhneach said turning her eyes to her soddenly drunk partner.

David had a pasted on smile, he watched Fawn put her empty mug down. He cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. "Uh, Fawn darling. If you dont mind, i havent had a bite to eat all night, and your blood would be most satisfying." His eyes flickered, "I of course will pay extra." David reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a small velvet pouch. He untied the golden string, reached inside and produced a ring. "This, i aquired when i was in the marketplace. It belonged to a human, she is what they would call a dutchess." The ring was gold, with a large red ruby at its center. "I wanted to give it to someone, but instead, ill give it to you." He held it out over the table, for Fawn to see.
