I come from a small orchestra and myself and my friend are the only french hornists. I have been playing the French Horn for 8 years.
How long have you played?
How many French Horns are in your band?

ya! I've been playing horn for almost 7 years (once next school year starts lol but thats closer than this school year beginning) in our wind ensemble we had 4 horns including me, our symphonic band, we had 4 horns but 1 quit second semester, and our freshman bad we have 2. We have a small school, but probably over 50% participate somehow in fine arts. It's amazing!! I'm so excited for next year when I'm a junior, cause I'm aiming for first chair after a full summer of intense practicing and band camp lol.

French Hornist for a bit over half a year... Second chair of four, all who have played longer than I.

i have played for 7 months, and right now, im principal player in the top band. there are 4 horns, including myself.

i have been playing french horn for 3 years now and next school year my friend (who drives my crazy) is going to start french horn but she will be 3rd chair and the person who was first chair didnt practice at all or go to any of his lessons. gosh

Just finished my 2nd year. We had I think 11 in our band this past school year. I was 3rd chair...and a Jr. Section Leader.

candy!x0x0 have you guys played any good solos like for solo and ensemble, or regular solos I guess. Yep, and I got 1s every time ^^. I was surprised this year since I started using a double horn like a week or 2 before solo and ensemble. XD

I have been playing for seven years. heart French Horn owns me 3nodding
last year there was four of us...then for reasons I'd prefer not to mention, one of us got kicked out permanently, cutting our number down to three. That made me one sad panda.
This year, if all of my information is correct, and it usually is, we should have six. Two seniors, myself(a junior), a convert (who is also a junior), and two freshmen. burning_eyes I'm not sure whether to be scared or excited...
