The Wind Nation
Far beyond the reaches of the Western Nation, the Wind Nation has existed in the Eastern Lands, shielded by the vast desert and blustering winds. Because of their solitude, the people, calling themselves "Children of the Windborn" are wholly devoted to the ways of their ancestors.
The Nation itself does not operate on any sort of centralized power, but is instead split between the three nomadic Clans that dominate the region. The Nash’at (the warriors), the Al’Abbak (the mages), and the Zahir (the trouble-makers) each have their own internal governing bodies, with a Sheik and a Shaman guiding each people. Once every three years all three Clans meet together to catch up with events and make major decisions. Each meeting takes place at a different time of the year, and in a different location. This year, they meet at the central oasis, for a gathering that could affect not only their lives, but those of everyone in the Western Nations as well.![]()
