i got a couple questions on my psp, how do you upgrade it? and why when i stick
some games in it a version 2.00 upgrade appears on the main menu and on some other game it says version 3.00 upgrade on the main menu?
i can play both games even though i haven't upgraded past version 1.00 but i was wondering since i'm new to psp!
not new to sony though, i have been with sony since ps1 back in 1995! 4laugh

I have always updated my PSP through WiFi.

But any PSP now a days has the update data on it so all you have to do is start it up to do it.

Also how are you new to PSP but only have f/w 1.00? A PSP has not had that as stock for around 4 years now.

I update my firmware via the games, when you pop in a game that needs a version higher then yours, the system should automatically say it needs to update, and will bring you through the process. To save time, if you have a game that has say, a V3.0 requirement and one with a V2.5, put in the 3 so that it will update farther along and you save time.

I have yet to find a game that won't if your running firmware that is lower then what it needs. Its just like the PS3 in that way, or should I say the PS3 is like the PSP.
You wont need to worry about DLing a patch to upgrade the firmware for each game, just pop in the game, when you try and start it, it should say it needs a patch if your not at that patch or higher. If it doesnt, you will see, a UMD icon above the game launch (i think its above), with a version 3.33 or whatever version it is, and that will start the patch as well

your welcome.
As for a PS3 price drop, there has been nothing I have heard about it. If there is going to be a drop it likely will be around x-mas but again, there is nothing I have heard of.

rich? hardly, I just really wanted one and had to cut back on spending in other places to make up for it.
