[Title inspiration]

The cool breezes ruffled through Abrafo's damp mane as he waded out of the stream, shaking the water into every direction before starting his hike around the borders of the Bhanu. Today he was partially irritated by the fact that everything tapable in the pridal lands was either taken, too agressive to touch or a hybrid. Not that he minded the mixed breeds, but they sparked his curiosity more than his sexual desires and he couldn't concentrate for long.

His massive frame pressed indentions down in the vibrant earth. Most of the land near the edges of the pride was a wasteland, all except for this little oasis. He found it his favorite place in the world to come and relax. Not that he could. With all the stress of being thrown out of the Mwana, travelling around forever with a leopardess who half hated him, half owned him, and training he was ready for a little activity.

The lion needed stimulation and not something easy. He wanted a real woman, someone who wouldn't wuss out and run away from him when he got rougher than she wanted. Preferably, she'd fight back and he'd have the scars to prove it.

If only such a girl existed.

It was a cooler day in the savanna and every animal seemed to be feeling it. Shabaki decided to take shelter in a tree with the antelope prey she had stolen from some poor sap. Tearing into the creature's muscle, her claws pierced it's skin violently. It had been a while since she had eaten, after all, why should a queen like herself get her paws dirty, working to get a meal? She could just take it from someone else and make it so much easier on herself. The antelope's blood dripped down the tree, painting over the claw marks Shabaki had made scaling the tree.

She grinned in satisfaction. Stolen goods never tasted so great.

While she devoured the lifeless meat, she pondered about her primary desire. It was to be a queen, or at least to be treated like one at all times. It's what she thought she deserved after all of this time of meaning nothing to everyone and being in all of this solitude. It was about time that Karma came around and gave her a fair share of goodness.

Shabaki just didn't know where to start.

Hmm... She had thought. In fact, she was thinking so hard, her food dropped right out of her mouth into the sand.

"Pity." She scowled. "I was going to eat that..."

Abrafo smelt blood in the wind and instantly tensed. It had been his old pride's rules to drink the blood, as they were all vampires and he still had tendencies to do just that. The smell was tantalizing, practically hypnotic to him. His nerves were on fire. Whatever it was, it was about to be his and today might just pick up.

Nimbly, he picked his way through the overgrowth, bi-colored eyes set on the target ahead while his nose lead the way. It didn't matter to him if it was prey or an injured lion; Blood was blood and it all tasted the same.

His jagged claws tore into the earth while his body pumped him forward. With his long legs and powerful strides it didn't take him long to break through to his target. He was immediately on alert when he saw the blood dribbling down the tree. Despite every sense he posessed telling him to look up at it's source, he padded close to the tree and licked the life fluid off the bark.

Pure, metallic blood. His violet mane was being covered in it as he lapped it up, growling agressively, but blissfully unaware of the possible dangers above his head.

With sudden growls coming from below, Shabaki jumped a bit, then smirked.
"What have we here?" she questioned, peering down from the foliage. The leaves covered most of her body, so it didn't surprise her that the male didn't see her right away at first glance. His purple mane covered his face from what she could see for now, but he seemed like a larger lion. It was just the kind of lion she was looking for: someone strong and a challenge. Shabaki always liked conquering challenges. Especially the ones she comes close to not winning, but in the end, she always wins... one way or another.

Looking a little more closely, she had noticed what he had actually been doing. Drinking just the blood of an animal? This lion must have been starved or something, but he didn't look like it. Maybe every lion was different, but to Shabaki, normally the meat is the delicacy and the blood is just the thing that makes it even better. It made everything juicy and easier to eat. She had never seen such a thing in her life.

Arching an eyebrow, she kept her distance by keeping in the tree. You never know who he could have been... even if she COULD hand him his kidney by the time he counted to three...

With his tongue making a lazy arch up the tree bark, he tilted his head upwards to catch a glimpse at the being in the tree. The appendage snapped back into his mouth before he grinned, flashing his dripping fangs. Because of his extensive background with leopards, he'd assumed that the vixen speaking to him was of their general species, and he was oh so pleased to see that it was a lioness. She had an appealing look in her eyes that entranced him momentarily, showing him glimpses of everything he'd been looking for.

The eyes were the gateway to the soul and if he believed in that bullshit, he would have looked longer. However, finding what he needed, Abrafo took a step back and sat back on his haunches, head raised in a noble stance. " I do believe it is I that should be asking you that question. Its been a long time since I've seen a lion pretending to be a leopard."

She had a kill in that tree and as apt as he was to steal it from her, he made no move. At this level in the game, she was his equal and until she showed signs of weakness, he would treat her as such.

When the lion had gazed into her eyes, she had noticed something very different about his own. Not only were they bi-colored, but it was also like they had a message hidden behind them. The male seemed mysterious to her and it would only be in time where Shabaki would figured out what this 'message' was.

"A lion trying to be a leopard, eh? Haven't you ever thought that maybe I just like viewing the world from up here? You can spot a hyena... or even another lion like yourself... before they can get their grubby paws in the process of nabbing your entree," the lioness explained. It was a trick she had learned from many animals. Not just leopards. Besides, trees were pretty comfortable to be in. They had amazing shade in the branches during hot, unbearable days.

"Speaking of nabbing meals, it looks like you've got your eyes on this antelope up here." Yes, this could turn out to be the perfect plan. The lion is hungry. Shabaki has food. Depending on how much he wants that antelope, he might get some... for a price.

"I might just give you some... if you can give me something." she grinned. Her plans seemed so innocent, but what she considered mastermind plans, were swirling around in her head constantly. What she desired and planned to search for, was currently, plopped down below her. It was right in reach and Shabaki intended on taking it while she could.

The lioness had an excellent point, but never the less, it had surprised him to see her in that tree. He had never been able to climb them, too much muscle weighing him down and as a cub he had been to scared of injury to even give it a try. Vaguely, he wondered if he could do it now, if only to snatch that antelope away from her.

"You must have read my mind." He spoke comedically while a grin spread out on his features, tilting the scar on his snout to an odd angle. Abrafo had seen the face of a feline in plot. It was the same face his king wore most of the time. Interesting enough to find it on a female, no less.

Facts stood that he was hungry and she had food. He would need to trade something for that food. At the moment, the matter of a possibly outrageous trade didn't seem quite as important as pleasing the growling in his stomach. "Alright, you've got my attention. What is it that you desire, that would make you willingly share your kill with me?"

Probably something fickle and easy to snatch. She was a woman, after all.

The spotted lioness chuckled in amusement. "I do that quite often." she mentioned.

Her plans to gain easy access of servants had been in the shadows of her mind for a while now, and it was now, that they were coming out to soon be revealed. Of course, she wouldn't let the male know until it was too late to fix what she had started. She would then be treated like the queen she deserved and yearned to be treated like. Shabaki wasn't worried about karma or any of that stuff. She was just out to get what she wanted, like the selfish lioness she was.

"Well..." she paused. She didn't exactly know how to put this nonchalantly. The lioness could have been blunt, but that's just not how she was. Preferring to lead others into what she meant, it hit her. "...I haven't had a lion around for a while. I wanted a... umm... favor."

All this time, she had a certain look in her eyes. The look that she had always gotten when she saw everything of her desires, at the time, peaking up in the horizon. It could have easily been mistaken for a lusty smirk mirroring out of the irises.

The vampiric lion grinned.

Such a coy little thing, she was. It was almost as if she were trying to toy with him. If only she knew just how fatal that could have proved, but for the moment Abrafo was pleased. He hadn't been in the prescence of a female in a while and wasn't about to blow it by being rude.

"Oh." His eyebrows raised in surprise. That wasn't what he was expecting at all, but at some point it made him as giddy as a cub. Why the very look on her face was enough to get his blood pumping. Was this not what he had come to find? And she was willing to give it. Abrafo's glaws flexed into the dirt at his paws, a betrayal of the body showing just how eager he was to be with her.

"Only a favor?" He teased, licking his tongue over stained fangs. "Wouldn't you much rather have a gift?"

Shabaki narrowed her eyes as her grin grew larger. It seemed as though this lion was very willing to help her in her plan that she was in search to fulfill. This was great for her... it seemed as though she would get what she wanted. Although, this lion wouldn't know what was coming to him. Poor fella.
If her plans of having cubs were to follow though, he wouldn't even know about it; or so she planned.

"Oh, so a gift is what you'd call it?" she paused, thinking briefly.

"Well... I suppose it would be a great gift," she cackled.

Indeed it would be. A few lions tending to all of her needs; that would be the life. The one she certainly wanted to be living. Perhaps soon she would be.

Thinking only of romancing the female, his thoughts started to slip away. Clearly she wasn't planning anything for him other than a little romp and he would most definately satisfy her. If only he knew.

"Well, do you expect me to climb up that tree and grab you?" Abrafo chortled, stepping back in a few paces to allow her room to get down. "Unless you want to try it on in up there? It might be a little difficult at first, but...." He grinned and shook his rump, eager to get it all started.

(Sorry for the wait. 8'D Put, I'm sure your next post can end it.)

"No, no. I'll come down. This way I can take a closer look at the handsome male that will put a little joy in my life." If only he knew what kind of joy it would bring her...

Will a little laugh, she leaned downward on the tree, positioning her feet securely on the tree, ready for a jump. She dug her claws into the bark and made a leap. She landed on the ground perfectly and now stood next to the lion. He seemed a little larger once she was closer to him, but that didn't intimidate Shabaki at all. She was ready for all of this to happen and let her plans unfold.

The poor lives she was about to reek havoc on. She couldn't think twice... and didn't. This was all for her. Things were definitely about to change around here.

(It's quite alright. I've been quite slow lately, also. No internet. D'8
This can probably be the end.)
