If there was one thing that annoyed Celandine more than anything else, at least at that particular moment, it was the rapidly shifting treeline. She'd been walking it the past hour or so, trying to find some rhyme or reason to its alignment, and hopefully find the place she'd slept the night before. Unfortunately, she was having no luck, and was beginning to think she'd walked rather farther than she'd thought during the day.
Huffing out a breath, annoyed, she pawed the ground, digging into the soft earth and creating a small track. If she passed this particular spot again, she'd know it, and know to avoid the tree that was jutting out. She'd almost run into it once, after all, and didn't need to repeat that particular incident.
Sometimes, she wished she had someone around to be a pair of eyes. Not for the every day, just to offer helpful, veiled hints when she was about to smack her nose into something, or fall down a cliff, which she'd done as well. Okay, it hadn't really been a cliff, just a muddy little incline, but that had been enough!
Though, she had run into an interesting character in that case. She smiled to think of him, the stallion who had been so brusque and abrasive, and wondered if she'd see him again. She'd like to, all things considered, but wouldn't go out of her way to track him down. How would she, anyway?
Tail swishing behind her, she took off at a brisk pace, head lifted high as she sniffed the air. Unfortunately, she misjudged the trees once again, and rather than have a clean path before her, she found herself running headlong into a rough, thick trunk.
Crying out, the noise a strange combination of temper and pain, she backtracked quickly, wings coming up to cover her scraped and abused nose. Though it didn't help, she danced in place a little, eyes closed tight.
"Stupid, stupid tree! Ouch, ouch, ouch..."

Trotting along with a slow, steady but consistent pace Jumoke had found himself feeling quite relaxed. Not that he was never relaxed, for most of the time he's very tranquil, but this moment he felt lighter then air. He didn't have any worries tying down his mind nor did he have any plans that he had to follow through. He was simply out for a quiet, peaceful stroll. With every up step in his trot he jingled from the jewelry that hungry from the sides of his necklace.
He let out a sigh and shook himself off mid-trot. His own breath echoed up to his ears as half of it got caught under the mask he wore. He felt the heat of his breath and shook his head trying to rid himself of the sudden discomfort. He should have known it was no use trying to prevent that from happening but he felt he mustn't give up. With his mask on he'll always be at the mercy of his warm breath. With that new displeasing thought he decided to continue.
It wasn't long after he started up again that he noticed something in the distance that seemed to be growing closer. It was blurry, for his vision was impaired through his mask that he could barely see out of to begin with, but it looked like it was a fellow horse, gender unknown, running along. He thought nothing of it so he minded his own business; he's not the only horse alive after all, when suddenly he heard a loud noise. It sounded like an impact kind of noise and he immediately turned towards the strange horse. He knew it had to have been related the other for there was no one else around and believe it or not he was right! He was suddenly brought to a halt and saw that the horse must have ran into that tree. "Oh!" Jumoke cried out as he turned and trotted relatively quickly over to the other, which as he got closer found that it was a mare, an angeni no less. "Are you alright miss?" He question as he titled his head and walked towards her, bending down some to look at her face, which she was covering with wings.
