Here is where the non-playable characters of Escar will be noted. They will primarily be controlled by myself, but if anyone needs to control one of them, let Silwaniar or myself know, and we will help decide which NPC works best. Name: Cain Usaragi Race: Escaran Age: 13,457 (Looks like he's in his late twenties.) Appearance: Cain has long, silvery hair. His eyes are still red, after coming back from his insanity. He is taller than Raven. He almost always wears the majority of his armor, though leaves of the left arm fo his armor when he is not in battle. He always wears the golden, graceful gauntlet on his right arm, for it helps him remain sane. The armor is elaborate, and shows his confidence in battle. He almost always carries his weapon, though it is slung over his back in a sheath when he's not expected to carry it. It is a long nodachi, though it has a dragon-motif western style handguard. Personality: Cain is proud, confident, and somtimes arrogant. His has a strong notion of his own skill and prowess. He is rarely angry, but even amusement can lead him to challenge another to a test of martial skill. Alliance: Lionia Occupation/Training: Warrior About: Cain was one of the Knights of Escar, a formal order of warriors who live to fight for the High Council. One of the projects the order was running created a demonic entity. This entity attacked Cain Usaragi's family and home, destroying the building, and slaying his family. After this Cain went insane, and did all he could to avenge his family's deaths. Eventually, he regained conciousness, and came to terms with both Orion and the Knights of Escar. Name: Arathil the Falcon
Race: Nabeshin
Age: 623 (Looks to be in his early twenties)
Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyed, there are few notable features about Arathil. He is a Captain of the Guard, and thus often wears his silvery armor with ornate golden detailwork. His cloak looks like it is flowing mercury, as are all cloaks of the Captains of the Guard. His presence is unassuming, and humble. Indeed, he prefers to be behind the scenes.
Personality: Arathil is quiet and humble. However, he will do anything to further the missions of House Orion. That said, the orders he is given by House Orion will be carried out no matter what the reasons.
Alliance: Lionia
Occupation/Training: Warrior
About: This Nabeshin was not originally trained as a warrior. He wandered into the Orion practice fields for combative training, and asked if he could practice with them. The Orion training is known to be one of the toughest in the lands. Men use live weapons, and fight with no reserve. Healers stand by to heal the wounded, and revive the slain. Arathil lasted a whole day during the training of Cain Usaragi, who is known for his intense lessons. This impressed the men so much, that they took the man to Raven. He found the honor and conviction of Arathil to be most admirable, and agreed to allow the Nabeshin to become a Guard of Orion Castle. He quickly proved to be a mighty warrior, and was promoted to a Captain of the Guard. Raven Orion trusts him greatly, and will give him tasks directly. He will never betray the lord's trust.
Weapons (If applicable): Arathil carries a long, curved sword. It was forged by Raven himself, and is a notably sharp weapon. He also carries a micronithium shield, and a sturdy Lyrean shortbow.

Name: Cirithel de Orion
Race: Escaran
Age: 14,965 (Looks to be in his early thirties)
Appearance: Blond hair, blue eyed, there are few notable features about Arathil. He is a Captain of the Guard, and thus often wears his silvery armor with ornate golden detailwork. His cloak looks like it is flowing mercury, as are all cloaks of the Captains of the Guard. He has a heavy build, and is very tall. His features are hard. He looks very much like a veteran warrior, which indeed he is.

About: Cirithel first was a warrior in the Orion military. He missed the cut for the Dragonriders, and joined the heavy calvalry. After an arrow hit his right thigh, he was unable to remain ride any longer. Thus, he was transfered to the Castle Orion City Guard. He is currently preparing to take the exam to become a Citadel Guard.
Weapons (If applicable): Favors spear, but also carries a long, curved sword.

Name: Akimoto
Race: Escaran
Age: 16,250 (Looks to be early 30's)
Appearance: Akimoto is originally from house that was blended with Ryuujima. Thus, he as feature similar to those on the eastern part of the Terralin continent of Asia. He had dirty-blond hair, and light brown eyes. His features are hardened by war, and his face bears two heavy scars. He almost always wears armor, and two swords.
Personality: Akimoto is extremely quiet and polite. He is calm, and sensitive to his environment.
Alliance: Lionia
Occupation/Training: Warrior
About: For several centuries, Akimoto was considered a warrior of legend and seen as the epitome of the warrior. He is a master strategist, and an expert in swordsmanship. He was the mentor to Lord Raven Orion for almost one hundred years. After his house surrendered to the current leader of Ryuujima, Akimoto retired for many years. Raven came to him, asking for more lessons in swordsmanship and requesting that the legend return to the service of House Orion. Akimoto agreed to both, and is now one of Raven's most trusted generals.
Weapons (If applicable): A non-magical micronithium katana and a matching wakizashi.

Name: Selvyn de Orion
Race: Escaran
Age: 11,216 (mid to late twenties)
Appearance: To say Selvyn is exotic would be an understatement. Though at first glance, he is strange for an Escaran only for his black hair and deeply tanned skin, a second clance will reveal much more. His eyes occasionally show a dim glow, and are peircing green. He has numerous exotic tattoos of exotic patterns, including one around his eye. A strange rune is tattooed onto his forehead. He wears dark red clothing that is niether tight nor loose. Over this, he wears dark blue-grey scale mail which extends to his knees, though split for riding. This hauberk is reinforced at the neck, and includes a pauldron on the right side. He also wears elaborate vambraces and greaves. His longsword has a strange, cuved, crystalline blade. In addition, he has a slender, curved shortsword. He walks with an air of dangerous self-confidence, and his eyes seem to take all in, without hiding it.
Personality: For the most part, Selvyn is a quiet man. He is sometimes sarcastic. He used to be much more so, but Raven made it clear that as one of the higher-ranking officers of House Orion, his sarcasm could influence morale, which he could not have. He also used to be far more arrogant, but that was also dealt with by allowing Selvyn to test his skills against Cain.

Occupation/Training: Warrior
About: Selvyn came from the deserts around Rabalasaire, as his skin and tattoos show his desert life. He was pushed out of his lands due to his special talents. He made his way to Orion, where he soon proved his martial prowess. Some say he might even one day rival Akimoto, but that opinion is not wide spread. He is now a Captain of the Sword in the Orion military, though he is kept a close eye on, in case his pride begins to surface again.
Weapons (If applicable): A crystal long sword, as well as a smaller shortsword
Magic (If applicable): Though not magic, Selvyn is a psychokinetisist

Because Silwaniar has been made the somewhat unofficial leader of the troup of performers for the Orion Festivities there are a number of people with her. I don't have any specifics as to who is who and who does what but whenever a character is mentioned I will place a short description here.
Troup members so far:
Tavin( sorry, I hadn't thought of names yet)- Elderly Escaran gentleman who is one of the weavers and tellers of tales in the troup. He is well versed in ancient histories and is also very talented in coming up with his own stories on the spot. A favorite pass time is entertaining his company by coming up with stories from a handful of words given to him.

Name: Morthelmir Ethelvas de Orion Race: Escaran Age: 9,895 (mid twenties) Appearance: Morthelmir is slightly shorter than Raven Orion. He has harder features than lord Raven, but posseses shining blue eyes. He bears one scar, just right of his right eye. He wears silvery scalemail, trimmed and worked with golden micronithium. Personality: He is calm, and honorable. He is chivalrous, and will never forsake his honor and code for the sake of success or gain, unless ordered. If ordered, then his honor bind him to obey. Alliance: Lionia Occupation/Training: Warrior About: He is eager to prove his valor and skill, a trait which allowed him to rise through the ranks with unparalleled speed. He is the most skilled dragonrider in any of Selvyn's forces. Weapons (If applicable): Ornate but functional cross-headed spear, and a long, curved sword. He also has a sturdy micronithium shield. Name: Hatetsu Orion Race: Unknown, likely Escaran Age: Unknown, has served three generations of House Orion Appearance: Hatetsu has silvery hair, pale skin, and always covers his nose, mouth, and chin in a mask of some sort. He has a deep scar over hsi right eye, which now lacks both pupil and iris. He usually wears mixed-matched, black armor, both leather and steel, and strong fabric garments. His usual outfit includes a scarf covering his nose down. He is a masterful warrior, most skilled in sword and throwing knife. His armor is also designed to hide knives and daggers. Usually, those who see him are either slain, or given the threat of death if his presence is told. The armor was selected to be mismatching on purpose in order that those around him will think he is unable to afford matching armor, hiding his inner talents. Personality: Dark, cynical, and arrogant, Hatetsu has little respect for even those he serves. However, he does this with the greatest loyalty. He considers himself the shadow of those he serves, which is true in a sense. Alliance: Serves only House Orion, in Lionia. Occupation/Training: Spymaster of House Orion About: Hatetsu is the secret behind House Orion's success. While their dragonriders could allow them success by themselves, Hatetsu's eyes-and-ears provide all the knowledge required for the dragonriders to move successfully towards the correct target. Furthermore, his masterful use of manipulation and wise advice allow him to ensure that the dragonriders need not fly against a foe if there is any other option. He is proud of the fact that Orion's eyes-and-ears are rumored to be the largest in Escar; they are far larger than the rumors hint at. Virtually nothing is known about him, and only Aust and Raven's most trusted generals even know he exist. Furthermore, the actual Lionia court only have rumors of his existance. Weapons (If applicable): Two short, curved blades, a katana, and a large multitude of daggers. Magic (If applicable): His full powers are unknown, but the only magic used on those who survive are mind-altering magic, preventing the subject from even wishing to speak of him, so subtle that the user things he chose not to reveal Hatetsu. Name: Fiona Orion Race: Escaran Age: 10,496 Appearance: Fiona is strikingly beautiful. Her long blonde hair has a slight metallic hue, pushing her hair beyond metaphorically golden. Her blue eyes are strikingly bright and beautiful. All things about her say beauty, but the thin, straight, tassled sword that she always wears, with a different scabbard based on her outfit. Personality: Fiona could never be called anything short of kind-hearted. The dragonrider is sweet-natured and friendly. However, those who think her an incapable warrior after being used to her friendly personality are always suprised and amazed by her once she dons her silver dragonarmor. Once battle starts, Fiona never backs down unless tactics say she should. The saying that has spread throughout Escar is "the only thing that surpasses Fiona's beauty and grace is her skill in combat." It is almost completely true, though some of the other dragonriders and the Escaran bladelords are considered to still be the most skilled warriors in Escar. Alliance: Lionia Occupation/Training: Warrior About: Fiona was born on a small island off the southern coast of Lionia. She met Raven when he traveled to the island to live with his uncle. They grew very close, and all thought for sure they were destined to be together; all save a man named Dracaros. One day, she disappeared, and no one could find any clue to her whereabouts. Many centuries later, she returned, and she and Raven grew close once more. For a while, the were even married, and ruled House Orion. After a few years, however, they realized that they really didn't love one another, and had gotten married out of expectation. They took an Escaran rite that essencially made the marriage dissapear, and all records were altered slightly so that they were never married. The particular Escaran rite is recognized univerally across Escar. They are still close, and she helps Raven when he needs emotional support, or when he is in need of her skill in dragonriding. Weapons (If applicable): The jian Silverwing, and a bow made by the best bow-maker in Lyrea. Magic (If applicable): Healing and light-based magic, as well as some simple wind magic.
