 Vibrant rolled her head back, tail swishing slowly making a pattern in the grass, the doe slowly tilting herself until she ended up flopped over on the ground, eyes glued to the sky above. A deep mid evening sky blazed with the colors of the setting sun, she almost felt entranced by it. Her mind often wandering thoughts floating about her head like small whispy butterfly's always hard to keep track of.
A rustling sound, like grass against rock, or maybe trickling water got her attention. Causing her to get to her knees, gazing through the tall stalks of grass, face buried in the earth and the leaves. "Hullo.." she murmurred, clearing her throat and speaking a little bit louder. "Hullo..?" the doe giggled to herself as she only heard the sound of her own voice in return. Maybe it was just the wind or the crickets playing tricks on her ears again.

  Two snakes, one shimmering gold, the other one dark as night, emerged from the tall grasses. They were tightly entwined and looked rather like they wanted to strangle each other. In their mad flailing they had managed to somehow form a pattern of movement that propelled them forwards, and were currently heading straight for the sun-colored kimeti.
Crashing through the tall grasses after them, came Cold-Blood. She looked unhappy and angry. She came to a sudden halt over top of the snakes, her hooves digging into the ground as she stomped them hard to stop her momentum from dragging her any further forwards. She had managed to stop herself about a foot from the stranger, whom she had not yet noticed, so caught up with her snakes. "Stop that, you two! Stop it right now. The kimeti growled at her companions. as she attempted to pry them apart.

Vibrant lay there still in the grass head pressed down against the earth, ears back and wide eyes gazing upwards. She blinked a few times, letting out a small meep as the snakes slithered slightly closer, black and gold and writhing things slightly frightening. Not nearly as interesting as the large cold green female above her. The one who had come quite close to nearly stepping on her head, "Ahm..excuse me!?" she spoke up shyly with her warm almost birdlike voice. Tail flitting about behind her as she moved to get up a bit closer, a giggle bubbling up in her throat. "Your little slither ones are a handful arent they!" She grinned hoping to come off as friendly, certainly not wanting to get stepped on.

Cold-Blood had finally managed to get a hold on Shadow when the other kimeti spoke up. With the black snake hanging from her mouth, still hissing at the gold one, Cold-Blood noticed her for the first time. Tilting her head she took a good look at the sun-colored doe and realized how close she must have come to running into her. Her expression softened as she replied, Shadow still dangling from her mouth, "Huh... yeah... they're not usually this bad. I think they both went for the same bird's egg earlier..." Glancing down at Glint, who was attempting to slither up her leg to get closer to Shadow, she continued, "I'm Cold-Blood. And this is Shadow," gently flicking the again flailing reptile, "and Glint," lifting her leg a little, "Sorry for disturbing you. Must've nearly crashed into you."

"Nearly, nearly, nearly indeed! Its okay though" she singsonged as she got to her feet, shaking herself free of the clinging grasses and dirt from the ground. The doe giving a slight nod in greeting to cold-blood and her two wily companions. "Hee hee, I'm Vibrant-Humming, its a pleasure to meet you.." she trailed off distracted by cold's wriggling pets. "I've never seen snakes up close, they always seem so..soo..slimy.." she said with a curious look on her face, inching closer and closer to cold's leg stretching out just enough to let the tip of her nose touch one of glints golden scales before yanking her head back quickly, rather wary of the shiny slithering creature.

Cold-Blood tilted her head, ears perking up just a little. Vibrant-Humming had such an odd way of speaking, it reminded her of a songbird's lullabies. She seemed nice enough, if not a little strange in Cold-Blood's books. But then again... Cold-Blood might be the odd one out, constantly spending time with other cold-bloods, like her snake buddies.
When Vibrant touched Glint he jerked his head around to look at this new creature that he had apparently only just noticed. He seemed to be glaring at her, but made no further moves toward her. Instead, he gave up his earlier plight and settled himself around Cold-Blood's upper-foreleg.
Shadow, on the other hand was very inquisitive and attempted to reach out to the other doe by stretching out his body towards her. "Glint is a little more moody, but neither of these two will do you any harm. They're generally really well-behaved. See? They're already forgotten about their spat." Cold-Blood stretched her neck out a little more and draped the more placid of the two snakes across Vibrant's nose. He bent his head back to look the mysterious creature he now sat on in the eye, content he wasn't dangling anymore.

Vibrant humming watched the interesting snake with intent curiosity, sticking her tongue out at the creature as it seemed to just stare at her. "Yes snakes definitely odd..not slimy though!" tail swishing happily as she nodded in approval of the creature, even though it didnt seem to like her all that much.
Gaze snapping to the dark black snake, head bobbing a bit as she moved closer to meet his inquisitive touch "Hee hee, moody booty, they have a ahm..a certain charm to them!" she snickered softly as cold moved to help aid her in her snake touch, sniffling as the cold creature slithered across her nose.."Ooh...such...shiny eyes, yes snakes are shiny hardly slimy very cute!" the doe grinned giving cold a slight bow "Thank you for letting me hold him, they do seem very very sweet" tossing aside the thought of possibly tasting one of the slithery creatures, heh no no snakes were not for tasting only touching.

Cold-Blood smiled as the dark reptile seemed to approve of his new find. She nodded at Vibrant's comments, and when she was done inspecting Shadow, she stretched her neck forwards and nudged the little snake in an attempt to get him to slither her way. He turned to look at her and decided he did not want to be lifted so unceremoniously again. He turned away from her and quickly made his way onto the top of Vibrant's head, over her neck, across her shoulders and finally spiralled down her leg.
Cold-Blood just shook her head and said, "He's very protective of those he likes. Been with me since I was a hatchling. Glint found us not too long ago, and we've all been together since." Stifling a giggle as Shadow entwined himself into the soft fur around Vibrant's ankle and nuzzled her with his tiny little head, "He likes you."

Vibrant giggled and squirmed as shadow slithered over her body, grinning as she watched in awe, the lengthy creature making his way over her back and down her leg, wide golden eyes eagerly following the creatures path. "Soo soo cute cute.." she beamed looking up to cold blood again, the other does voice catching her rather short attention span.
"Aww, thats sweet, so..your all like a family then?" it must have been nice to have had someone by her side all the time, and eggs were soo cute too! "That must be nice, the three of you being together, good friends" she nodded, grinning brightly as cold mentioned shadow liked her. "He..he does, really" lifting her ankle slightly to watch, "I guess he does, oooh! He's so cuddly" really this just lit up her day, better then cloud watching or grazing during the setting sun. "Ah, cold-blood where did you come from. I mean before you ended up chasing down the snakes" she asked curiously, her own odd method of asking a person how their day had gone.

"Oh yes, it's nice to have them around. I'm generally on my own otherwise though because there are some kimeti that are deathly afraid of these guys. I would be lonely without them," a wide smile spread across her features once more as she looked down at her beloved companions.
Cold-Blood took to rubbing her ear on her foreleg as an itch started up, as she responded, "We were in the watery parts of the swamp. Picking our way through the crocodiles, stepping over them in the midday when they're the laziest. We were looking for eggs. Croc eggs are tasty." a glazed look came over her eyes as she remembered the gooey, creamy taste of reptile eggs.

"Hee hee, they're hardly frightening! Eh..well..maybe if they were bigger, maybe poisoness..mmn.." then again she realized that big or poisoness or not they were still snakes, and snakes were often ill spoken of creatures. Their bites deadly and coils constricting, this pair seemed soo sweet though!
Tilting her head sightly to the side, glancing off in the direction of the horizon as she listened, her ears obviously trained on cold bloods voice. "Ooh, the water parts" she gasped as the female spoke of crocodiles and dangerous water. "Eggs, ooh eggys for the snakes, goodness though cold-blood!" she giggled shaking her head at the bold female "I couldnt imagine ever trying such a thing, the crocodiles scare me, heh sleeping or not they're still full of sharp teeth and I'd rather avoid that" cold blood, well..she was exciting! Insanely exciting really in that refreshing sort of way. The story of hunting for the eggs made vibrant grin.
"I like wild flowers myself, and the occasional butterfly" she nodded happily.

"Mmmm... Perhaps..." the doe nodded thoughtfully to Vibrant's assumptions about the general outlook on snakes. They were indeed thought to be slimy and dangerous by most others. Common misconception, though. Her little companions were hardly a threat, more of a nuisance than anything, but she loved them dearly. Cold-Blood nuzzled Glint before bringing her head back up to look at the other doe.
The talk of her reptilian adventures, as spoken by a milder doe like Vibrant, made Cold-Blood grin as she realized that other kimeti must not be as daring as she around the crocs. "Oh, it's nothing. I've been doing this all my life. Been around reptiles day in, day out. I know them better than I know any kimeti." She tossed her head to get rid of an annoying fly that bit her ear, and then continued, "What did I stumble into in my wild chase after Shadow and Glint?" returning the same question the doe had posed her.

"All your life and not a scratch on you, hee hee hee thats an impressive record! Crocodiles especially..ooh they must get awful mad when you snatch up their eggs" she said with a slight shiver, shaking her head as if to dispel the disturbing thought of crocks munching on kimeti. Blinking slowly and tilting her head as cold blood seemed to ask about her.
"Me? Ah! Well..I was day dreaming again, mmnhmm..the butterflies and bright flowers are all alive in the evening, so perfect to catch. I was just snacking away when the rays of the sun caught me, heh and I just sort of blanked out. Mmm its soo nice to roll back in the cooling grass and stare at the sky. Do you watch the color changes sometimes cold-blood? Its..its almost like magic, a new color at the end of every day depending on the mood of the sky" she said sounding almost in awe as she glanced up. "Buh..really stumbled onto nothing! Just a random little me"

Cold-Blood had to bow her head again to rub at her ear with her hoof. A nasty little bug had gotten to her flesh and decided it was dinner time. Stupid thing. So... annoying... if I get a hold of you... the doe had been half-listening to what Vibrant was saying about flowers and butterflies. She thought that butterflies must be difficult things to catch, the way they flutter erratically and never stop. But with the mention of the sky, Cold-Blood tuned back in with more attention, now attempting to ignore the insect.
Vibrant spoke of brilliantly changing colors and of the sky. Cold-Blood had never heard anyone speak of that ethereal field with such... love? Appreciation? Something like that. Cold-Blood didn't often see the sky in all of it's stretching glory, only sometimes in snips between the trees. Perhaps she would one of these days go out to look for a barren hill where the sky was exposed. "Can't say I've ever watched the sky change it's colors. I only really notice the change of light to dark and back again."

"Oh then you should someday! Just..just find some wide expanse and..hee hee..just ahhh.." she grinned widely tossing her head back, tail wagging against the grass " You know, flop back and roll around and enjoy yourself! Stare up at the clouds and the colors, mmm unless its really hot out, then you get under a tree!" she bounced for a moment realizing she'd completely lost topic, she always did tend to be scattered when she spoke about such things though.
"But um yes, I do like the sky, quite a bit. Do eggs taste good? Arent they slimy things, with..with animal insides..and little reptiles?" shed honestly never seen the inside of an egg, pleanty of outsides, like how robbins eggs were blue or speckled! Never bothered to crack one open though.
