All seemed to be looking good for the female hyena, no one had crossed her path for one today. That was always a good thing, and she had found a leg of a wildebeest that she claimed for her self. Apart from her new guest in her den, she was happy about things the way they were going.
The leg dragged behind her making a scrapping noise in the grass against the rocks and other rough terrain. Ylva didn't care if someone heard or smelt her with the tasty fleshy meat. If she was challenged then shed have an excuse to let out some steam.
Small creatures cleared the way for the hyena. She needed to get this meat back to her den so she could assist in feeding her new, somewhat not wanted, house guest. Why she was bothering with the trouble she didn't know. This was all strange to the loner.

An insatiable exhaustion seemed to overtake the darkly-colored hyena. His belly, though empty, did not feel the usual hunger. He knew he was slightly thinning, but he didn't mind. He needed to be somewhere. His calling... He just didn't know what it was yet.
Wincing with pain, Xx'ami-da stepped over the rocks. His paws were blunt and raw from walking so much in an attempt to find the thing he was searching for. Something was missing - he could feel it deep within his chest.
Upon pausing and looking around, he saw a grey-colored female dragging a kill across the rocks. His eyes followed her curiously. It was not often that he saw a hyena. Let alone a lone female. It was quite the odd occurence. So, for now, he was simply content in watching her.

Ylva had not heard or seen the new comer. She had smelt the hyena. Her ears twitched, annoyed, to be watched. However, she let it go. After all she was almost begging for another hyena, or other form of predator, to come and see what the tastey smell or even the sound was.
Slowly the hyena turned towards the new comer. She released the leg from her powerful jaws and made her self a nice seat upon the leg. If he had come for the leg, he'd have to pry it from her. A calm smile, that didn't quite fit in with the hyena's features, appeared across her maw.
"Nice view?" Under her sweet voice laid a sarcastic undertone. She watched him while sitting on that leg. Though, watching him from her new perch, he didn't seem like a threat or a thief. In fact the hyena looked maybe a little lost.
"You can come closer if you like, boy. I won't bite." She sighed, regretting inviting a potential trap over towards her. Being a hyena her self, she knew how tricky they could be. Still she sighed and let her guard down a little.

The dark hyena could heard the underlying sarcasm, for he used it often himself. He watched her for a bit before commenting back. "Indeed, I think so." He said casually and stepped closer with the female's invitation.
Once again, it was strange to be in the pressense of a female, as they are the dominate gender of the hyena species. He felt the natural male submission deep within his chest, but he managed to ignore it.

The other hyena's comment earned him a hidden smile. It didn't show on her face but her chest glowed slightly in amusement. Her blue cold eyes focused on him, watching as he approached. For one, she had mistaken him for a boy. Something she often did with males. Second, he seemed like he had knowledge of the world under his belt.
Ylva shifted onto a more secure position on her wildebeest leg.
"You out on a stroll?" If he was or wasn't had no point behind it. Right now she was merely sizing the other up to see if he was a threat. Still, he didn't seem so much like a threat. Ylva was still cautious though. After all, she was sitting on a good sized piece of meat. That made her a little more wary then she normally would have been.

With a small feeling of 'knowing better,' Xx'ami did not step too close to the female with her food being just under her paws. "If only I was," He answered. "I'm traveling..." He could not say where, for he didn't even know himself. He just started walking and decided to never look back. He was simply... running from a past he would opt to forget one day, but for now... He would simply walk until he found his calling.
"Are you from this area," came the curious question. The hyena would not sniff around the female to find out - it was better to simply ask. He figured it would be more polite. He had never been solidly around a female hyena. He simply didn't know how to act.

The question and small talk seemed innocent enough, but still, Ylva stayed on her guard. Untrusting, but still, she could try to be social. The hyena gave the other a tilt of her head before answering his question.
"Yes," She gave the other a bit of a confused look a little unsure why he was asking. The hyena blinked and gave him another once over.
"Traveler eh?" He sure fit the wander profile, but Ylva kept that remark to her self. He looked..... traveled and warn like a traveler would. Ylva sighed before looking at him again, "Take a seat." Her voice was cold and unwelcoming but she was attempting to be kind in her own way.

The darkly colored hyena looked slightly sheepish at the question. "Is... are... there any places to stay for the night. I haven't rested in a while," he answered. He hadn't slept last night, prefering to walk in the cool of the night. When the sun came up, though, he did not stop his tred. He took a seat where he stood. Trying, but feeling like in vain, to act almost... casual in a way.

The request was a small one and simple enough. The hyena gave the other a nod, trying her best to be kind. It was a hard thing to do since she hadn't decided if he was trust worthy or not, but the traveler seemed kind enough. For one, he hadn't asked her for a bite to eat. If the meat had been for just her, she'd have shared. However , since she had Asa, not well, in her den she didn't bother to offer it up.
"Yeah, " The hyena mumbled with an awkward smile. "There is a den I can take you to if you'd like," She wasn't gonna take him to her own den since Asa wasn't well but she knew of one close by that at times she'd use her self for a change of pace.
"There's a stream real close and the local's are nice enough to leave behind scraps." It was a great place for scavenging. Ylva often staked it out before Asa had come into her life. More like, before she took over his life.

The darkly colored hyena gave a small nod. He was aching for rest. "That would be nice, Thank you," He told her. His weary bones slightly ached, but the prospect of rest and an easy meal was appealing. He was slightly famished, and the meat just beneath the females feet was getting to his stomach. He didn't want to be rude and ask - it was hers, after all. His he forced himself not to take in too much of the scent.

Ylva gave the other a curt nod before she got up and picked her wildebeest leg. The leg dragged behind her making a careless scrapping noise as the hyena went.
The female had noticed that the male looked a little hungered and in the back of her stubborn mind it clawed at her as she went along, dragging the juicy piece of meat. She felt guilty and hated her self so much for having such a bleeding heart for strangers as of late. First she took Asa into her home and now she was taking a complete stranger to her hunting den. What had happened to her to make her such a softy.
The scraping noises were enough to just make her stop. The guilt of knowing the other was hungry was just to much for the female. After all, she wasn't a mean spirited soul.
"You can have half," The females voice sounded a little defeated. Though, she knew that Asa probably could only maybe manage to eat half him self. The leg dropped out of her maw and onto the ground, and the female took a seat watching the other rather then the leg.

The dark hyena pulled himself up to follow the female. He trailed, trying no to catch the wonderful smell on the breeze. He felt his stomach protest the lack of food, but he managed to squash down the feeling until the female stopped.
He looked curiously at Ylva with a slightly tilt to his head. However, the reluctant-sounding words caught his attention. Half? Really? "Are you sure?" He asked. He hesitated. He could find some tomorrow. Another day likely wouldn't kill him.
Not stopping to eat, he realized now, was stupid on his part. He would beat himself up for this later. He felt he was taking advantage of this strangers kindess. He was always committing himself to self-harm without realizing it...

Ylva's cold blue eyes met his for a moment before she gave him a nod and nuzzled the leg over toward him. After all, Ylva knew what it was like to be hunger struck. It made getting around and finding food all that much more of a pain. If she could help it, then she wouldn't see another go through it.
"You don't look like you've had much to eat and you look over traveled. The least I can do is give you half," Her tone was flat and matter of fact. Ylva's eyes wandered off to a random tree in the distance for a moment as she waited for the other to feast.
The den was near and they were in a pretty safe spot but Ylva still scanned the horizon for any potential scavengers on the prowl.

Xx'ami gave a gulp, still a little hesitant but lowered his head to eat. And he was ravenous, and he couldn't be polite in his eating. He ripped and tore and swallowed quickly, mostly forgoing to crewing stage. He slowed down, though, realizing his stomach wouldn't be able to eat a lot, and he would likelyl vomit if he ate too much.
He didn't eat half - just over a quarter. His stomach shrank too small to eat a lot.
And he felt slightly sick from eating so fast. He lowered his head a bit, not looking at the pretty female. He decided not to say anything.

Ylva lifted a brow at the hyena as he tore into the flesh. At first she thought he was gonna eat more then she had offered him but when he slowed down and ate less... well her brow lifted higher. Her maw hid a smile. The female didn't know the reasons he had really stopped but she was glad he was a hyena of his word. Not many were.. from her experiences in the past.
"You sure your done?" She tilted her head at him eying the quarter eaten leg. Clearly, the look in her eyes, she was amused greatly by this strange hyena before her.
