For the feast and celebration following the union between Lady Nolah and Morthol the elven palace is decorated in flowers and silks while tables piled high with all manner of delicacies strain under their weight. The wine flows freely and all are welcome. By the door sits a box of beautifully painted masks for those who wish to participate in the masquerade.

Araloth Vinyare
As she walked towards the tables, Araloth walked past Nolah. "I wish to congratulate you on your union,"she said, smiling happily. Ona suden impulse, she hugged her friend tightly. "May you always be happy." With that, she slipped back inot the crowd congregating around near the masks. Rifling through them, she came up with a dark blue mask painted with silver, pointed at the tips. Grabbing it, she selected a red mask that curved around in interesting ways for Lothiriel, who had almost definitely forgotten.

25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Glorfindel Glorfirith Annun
By the time Glorfindel and Glorfirith returned from the manor with Nolah's wedding gift, they realised that they had missed the wedding. Glorfirith was very sad but she cheered up considerably when she heard of the masquerade that was starting. She practically dragged Glorfindel convinced he wasn't walking fast enough.
"We get to wear masks, Glorfindel. Masks!" she said excitedly. "I want a pretty mask! I will find you a nice mask too, Glorfindel."
Glorfindel was very glad to be rid of the flowers he was wearing earlier and now would be quite willing to hide for the evening behind a mask. He suddenly pictured a very large mask covered in flowers. He did his best to repress a shudder. Surely Glorfirith wouldn't insist flowers upon him again...
Glorfirith and Glorfindel arrived at the party and Glorfirith ran over to the table and started leafing through all the masks.
Glorfindel walked up next to her and was half listening to her comments about the ones she was tossing aside as he looked for a mask for her. When the shadow of his dear friend's flailing arms passed over a particular mask, it caught his eye. He grabbed it up and put it on Glorfirith.
Glorfirith stilled and looked in the mirror above the table. It was a white mask in the shape of a butterfly, all lined with silver and covered in sparkles.
"Hannon le, meleth nin! Tharab vain!" she wrapped her arms around Glorfindel in a tight hug and he smiled and hugged her back. Then she saw it. The perfect mask for Glorfindel! She let go of her ellon and pushed him to the side and dove for it. Then she stood and faced him with the mask behind her grinning.
"Glorfirith..."
"Yes, Glorfindel?" she said still grinning.
He hesitated before voicing his fear. "The mask does not have flowers, does it?"
"Maybe it does. Close your eyes!"
Glorfindel stared for a minute before closing his eyes with a sigh. Glorfirith put the mask on him and turned him to face the mirror.
"You can open your eyes now, meleth nin."
Glorfindel opened his yes and sighed with relief before smiling. His mask was black with an almost bat-like shape to it and best of all, it didn't have flowers on it.
Glorfindel and Glorfirith went over to give Nolah her gift from them and to congratulate her in their masks.

Gil-galad appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "Glorfirith. I'm glad someone in my rather extended family has managed to make it," moaned the Elf-king."
He cast a quick glance up at his tower, which he assumed Elithian to be waiting within. He also hoped that Isilien was dashing towards it with all speed she could muster. "It's been an hour at least since I spoke with my son for the first time in millenia. I have no desire to be here, but I did swear I would attend..."
With a sigh, from within his blue dress-robes he pulled out a mask that resembled a golden eagle. Set unto the brow of the mask was a single sapphire. "I'm glad this face-hat has found a use, though. It's been sitting in my treasury for many an age... I was beginning to think it useless." He smiled at his niece and her husband (for even if they refused to use the words, they were quite clearly united in bodily union; Gil-galad shuddered as the thought crossed his mind).
"Lady Nolah called this a masquerade, did she not? It would be a great shame if Elithian were to miss such a strange event..."

Nolah Pennbeleth
Nolah took the presents and congratulations with as much dignity as she could muster. The music had started up and the area was slowly filling. She smiled up at Morthol, pressed another quick kiss to his lips and tugged on his hand. " Shall we choose our masks my love?"

Nolah Pennbeleth Morthol Ildagor Larion
"Indeed..." Hands together they made their way to the box and began to rifle through. Morthol chose one of Dark Wood with Silver accents that framed half of his face. As Nolah looked for one herself a finger tapped her on the shoulder and she turned to find Larion, dressed in finery she knew not the maid to possess.
"Larion!" She exclaimed happily and threw her arms around the woman who had been such a large part of her upbringing. " I am married." She stated the obvious. Larion was nodding and one could still see the tears in her eyes. She held out a velvet wrapped bundle towards her mistress. "You didn't have to bring me a gift Larion." She scolded but took the bundle anyways.
"I thought this a fitting gift M'Lady." The old woman answered. Curious, Nolah gently drew back the folds to reveal an expertly crafted mask with tiny diamonds and what could only be the finest silver traced upon it's twilight surface. The graceful curve and shape of the thing would flatter anyone. She touched the surface with reverence.
"Larion..." She whispered feeling tears well up. It had been her mothers and somethign she thought lost.
"I found it packed away before we left for Lindon and when you announced your desire for a Masquerade I brought it along to surprise you."
"I've said this so many times, but I shall again. What would I do without you? My lovely, lovely woman." She embraced the older lady again, pulling her close and then ordered her to pick a mask from the box because Larion 'must stay'. She turned to Morthol, a beautiful smile curving her lips.
"It's magnificent." He said, glad at seeing her so happy.
"Could you tie it for me?" She asked extending it towards him. For a brief second her was afraid that if he touched the mask it would break, either he would drop it or do something irrepairable but after a re-assuring smile from his wife he took it from her with gentle hands while she obediantly turned. After fastening the silken ribbons securely behind her head he left his fingers drift through her long, soft hair.
When she turned back he was smiling widely. " Your beauty radiates even behind the mask." He told her softly. " Though the mask is beautiful...a jewel."

Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva 25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Rivendell 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Nolah Pennbeleth Morthol IldagorNolah and Morthol spent their first few moments at the masquerade greeting those who had not already come forward and taking in the wonderous celebration that had been created for them. They knew Isilien had played a large part in the decoration and made a note to thank her when they found her. As they drifted amongst the guests-stealing quick kisses when they could, they eventually found themselves before Gil-Galad. Both bowed deeply to the elven king and Nolah looked up at him. "My Lord...you appear troubled...if there is pressing business that needs attending we do not grudge you the urge to leave. We are honored that you attended our wedding but we will not hold you to your promise if something needs seeing to. After all, you are a King." She said quickly. She could feel Morthol's hand on the small of her back and backed up almost imperceptibly into the touch. "What my bride says is true." Morthol added. " We do not want to be the cause of your dilemma, whatever it may be."

Night fell upon the city of Mithlond, yet in the city itself, lights shone everywhere, as people partied in the streets and the docks. The main action was taking place near the docks, on a special clearing meant for grand festivities. Menegil was certain he would not miss it for the world.
Making way through the hordes of Fair Folk obstructing the pathways, he reached the celebrations area, his robes glittering with gold and silver and his heirloom, the Circlet of the Blue Sky, handsomely decorating his forehead and hair. As he entered, he was greeted with a large box from where people were taking masks out. Not wanting to look rude in the masquerade, Menegil chose the one which went best with his clothing, a rather simple, yet elegant silvery mask.
Equipped for the celebrations, he scouted the area for the newly-wed couple. And there they were, along with Lord Gil-galad. But, as much as he wanted to speak with the High King concerning his long, LONG lost son, he left it for later, for he spotted two small figures which he took as being dwarves. Both of them were cheerfully munching on something. As he neared, he found that one of the figures was none other than Lord Nar himself.
"Lord Nar! Welcome to the celebrations! I hope everything is going well with you, my liege. And who is your companion?"
He stared. And stared. Was that a dwarf? No, was too skinny to be one... a dwarf-child? Seemed not... who, and more importantly, what was that strange being that now stood feet below him?

25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Lindon 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Glorfindel Glorfirith Annun
"That is a lovely face-hat, Uncle." Glorfirith smiled at her uncle's mask.
"Indeed it is." Glorfindel agreed.
Gil-Galad seemed to drift off in thought and Glorfindel and Glorfirith glanced at each other curiously when they noticed him shudder. They mentally made a note to ignore it and turned as Nolah came up to speak with Gil-Galad.
"Come, Glorfirith!" Glorfindel took hold off her arm and they headed off towards the area set aside for dancing.

The High King smiled proudly upon the young Lady Nolah. "You are as compassionate as you are fair, Lady Nolah. May your days be long and blessed."
He then bowed before Lord Morthol. "And with this, I take my leave. I hope I am not away for long!"
King Nar, meanwhile, had found himself again approached by that spoony Elf. "The Sea is abominable but the food is good, so I'm fine, Menegil. But if yeh don't mind," gruffed he in Endor's Common Tongue, "the lad here don't speak Adunaic, so it's a bit rude to mutteh yeh're Elven tongue in front of him."
He looked down upon the hobbit. "Togo, the man here is Lord Menegil, a noble of this city. He's interested in gettin' to know yeh, so go ahead and make friends." That was all he felt he needed to say; no sooner were the last word out of his mouth did he return to devouring some of the finest chicken south of Gundubizar.

~* Glancing up with a smile at the elf his cheeks blush a bit red from nervousness. He mostly intended to remain silent during this affair that he felt so awkward partaking in but now was too late to turn back. "Good evening M'Lord" he gave a little bow hoping that the dialogue wouldnt be too confusing a brown curl coming to rest on the middle of his forehead. He was in dire need of a haircut the locks seeming to have a mind of their own as they took over his neck and forehead. "This is a most elegant affair" he glances around sapphire eyes taking it all in in hopes that he will remember it for years to come. The savory aromas of the food made his stomach rumble a bit but he wasnt too hungry*~

Kareswen made her way to the new couple before she lost sight of them in the crowd, although that probably wouln't have been that hard, considering that other guests were also making their way to congratulate the couple. She just had to follow the crowd.
"Congratulations!" Kareswen exclaimed, wrapping a hug around both Nolah and Morthol. "I pray you both have a long and happy life together."
"Before I leave you both, I don't suppose either of you have seen Isildur since the ceremony have you?" Kareswen inquired of them "He appears to have disappeared."

Mithlond :: Mindon Lindlieva 25 Quelle in the Reckoning of Rivendell 1 Hisime in the King's Reckoning Nolah Pennbeleth Morthol IldagorThe young couple returned the King's farewell and watched as he made his way through the crowd. Nolah turned to her husband. " I wonder what is troubling him..." She sighed and rested her head against his shoulder. A young elven maiden nolah remembered meeting earlier approached and offered them warm embraces and congratulations. Both returned them with a grin, and when Kareswen inquired as to her husband's whereabout, Morthol shook his head. "I'm afraid I haven't an idea as to where he is Lady Kareswen." Meanwhile, Nolah watched the play of light across Morthol's handsome features. She wished to kiss the patterns, trace them with her fingers but felt that doing so would be indecent in such a place. Swallowing the warmth that suddenly suffused her cheek she just smiled.

Imyavie
Imyavie and her companions from Imladris had arrived later than they had planned, only to meet a rapidly growing crowd surrounding the newlyweds.
"I cannot be helped," Imyavie sighed, exasperatedly. "If someone did not take so long to get ready, we would have come here sooner," She smirked at a friend of hers, who only rolled her eyes and countered her comment with a smile. "You did not hurry to get ready either, Imyavie."She blushed at this, and proceeded to speak as they continued to the entrance. "Anyways, as long as we are here now. Aelnathron said that he would be here soon."
They finally were inside and obtained their masks. Imyavie picked a radiant one which resembled the spread out wings of a bird, orange in colour with scarlet highlights. "Heh...It reminds me of Carnil," She mused.
