It wasn't the beginning of the day, give or take mid afternoon or not but honestly, ShadowLea couldn't have known for sure with the dark blanket looming over the forest everyday- Sun or not; it made no difference.

With a calm, relaxed walk the female hybrid slinked along the tree's, brushing past the comb like branches with their leaves like wires allowing them to groom and tug at the silk coat.

She had made it to some sort of open space, well from the last shadow of the forest, that's what her gaze was taken to and with little thought about it she began to turn.. Until.

Blue.

Di she see that correctly? Shuffling a 'ah' devilish thought through her mind, she allowed her eyes to take to the open space a little longer. If someone were to be there maybe she could have a little...

Fun.

The day matched his mood.. dark. How long had it been since the strange two-legger's visit? It felt like a lifetime and yet it also felt like just yesterday... Either way, the words that had been spoken and the thought of what awaited him at his journeys end weighed oppressively on weary shoulders.

How did one prepare for going to meet their fate? Death might have been easier than this slow torment of not knowing..

Shaking his head the solid blue stallion shouldered through the undergrowth and stepped into a wide clearing, though it was hardly any brighter than the forest had been, at least here he could move freely. Pausing he lifted his head, stormy grey eyes looking up at the clouds above, the shadowed grey colour matched by the ominous rolling mass that blanketed the sky.

Great... it was now going to pour down. Could this day get any worse? Surely the Spirits were laughing at him from somewhere up there... Had he angered them somehow to deserve this on top of what he already had to handle?

'what a pity'

The thought had occurred at the abrupt entering stallions actions. His gaze was almost disappointed, down, tired as it set on the sky above as it grew more and more darker.

The weather was going to change. It was calling for moist, water, and lots at that. The more the days went by the more dull and lifeless the scenery became; was that her problem? Well, it would certainly be a compliment if it was.

Stepping out from the hazy watch of the tree's, a laugh stifled the air, very dark, crisp and hallow as if that's only as polite as it got.

"Oh, how irritating" she sighed, looking desperately troubled. "Its going to rain. You poor creature" Almost mockingly she approached, a sly smirk along the stone colored jaws as the blue stallion was now set aside only a few steps away.

The sudden laugh startled him, solid muscles shifting under the rich blue coat. Grey gaze dropped to the mare, curious. Yet the harsh, demeaning words that fell from her instantly rose the stallion's ire.

Ears swept back, pinning themselves to the solid, arched neck. The normally easygoing and friendly expression long gone, replaced with an irritated and disgruntled scowl. "A little rain never hurt anyone." he replied, struggling to get a hold of his wildly out of control temper. It was something he rarely had to worry about and his own dark mood surprised him.

Tail flicking he sought to shrug off the irritation, knowing he was on the verge of being rude.

"Oh, didn't it?"

As if tormenting the poor fellow, she slinked past his slender blue coat allowing the thick raven tail to caress under the broad jaw that held a distasteful scowl.

It only amused her that much more.

"Your quite the odd sight. Although dim for one who looks the skies. Safe keeping?" She tested, laughing lightly in dull resolution.

A mystified glance aroused the surrounding tree's finally a further more paces away before turning, satisfied that this stallion would be her next victim.

"Now, now. Why the face? A little company never hurt anyone either, right?"

'If only you knew how wrong that was, dear stranger'

Frowning further at her quip reply he watched her, something telling him she was teasing him, and not in the fun way either..

The thick brush of warm fur tickled along his jaw, making him lift his head, lips quirking downwards as he frowned at her again. "Odd? And why is that?" he retorted, voice almost sharp, holding none of the easy going warmth it usually possessed. What the heck was wrong with him? It felt like irritation was prickling under his skin, muscles held too tight from the sensation.

Cloud was in a bad way, struggling with the knowladge of what was to come and the personality he had forged for the entirty of his life was hard pressed to adapt.

As her voice tugged him back he relaxed a little, her words making sence once again, easing the tension within him. "True enough.... My appolagies." Dropping his head from where he had helt it after the caress of her tail, he looked back at her, trying to recapture his old friendliness... or at least his manners.

"You haven't figured it out yet?"

She asked, calmly shifting devious eyes once along the mixture of white, blue and patterned fur.

"Odd because someone like you, hardly travels alongside this forest. Nobility is an outcast although, maybe you are refreshing? Prove me wrong"

With a pearly flashed grin, full of fangs she treaded two steps forward like the crawl of a wolf, except still straightened in posture, well adapted to the moment.

The sky gave a low, aggravated growl, scolding them from under its disgusted watch. A sigh followed out into the air.

"Your name, dear?"

She asked, trying to follow a sweet tone, but it was all too visible, clear in the evil slits for eyes. That with kindness also threw daggers.

Her questions were only irritating the already restless quality of his spirit. Making him want to lash out at her or snap at her. Taking a long, slow breath he settled for staring at her, eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"And what is 'someone like me'? I am a traveller, not nobility of any kind or anything else. I am simply on my way to somewhere." Grey eyes watched her carefully as she crept closer, short blue tail flicking with unease and irritation.

Strong head flung up as the sky growled its fury, causing the tightly wound stallion to pin his ears back and bare his teeth at the dark heavens briefly. As if the sky spirits would see him and leave him alone. Looking back at the mare he forced the irritation from his face and huffed in defeat.

"I am known as Cloud Runner. And you?"

Now, she had a name; Peeeerfect. Her inner wolf growled in satisfaction.

Her toy was already getting worried, watching with eagle steered eyes. Just to tease, another hoof was lifted, forked forwards dragging her steps closer.

"Shadow"

she simply smirked, allowing a decisive bow to follow in greeting. Now now, he was heading somewhere? This was going to be fun.

Walking closer, circling his posture like a shark and its prey; with red eyes they scanned him, studying every inch and with swift, agile movements, her nose was finally at his, mere cm's from touching. Eyes proportioned neatly towards his.

"And where would that be, darling?"

She asked, curiously. Intentionally disregarding the given name to truly push the already irritated mood the stallion had portrayed.
