[Totembells]

A mysterious tribe of unknown origin, the Destari are the followers of the wind and singers of the stars.
They welcome all to their camp fires and may even tell you something of Truth... if you ask the right question.

Tribe Location:
Their caravans can be found all over the continent.
Though, rumor tells of a main camp hidden deep within the mountains...

Civilization:
Based on the stereotypical, highly romanticized Gypsy culture of fiction and art. Taken from Wikipedia:
"Many fictional depictions of the Romani in literature and art present Romanticized narratives of their supposed mystical powers of fortune telling,
and their supposed irascible or passionate temper paired with an indomitable love of freedom and a habit of criminality."

Resources:
Not living in a set place, the Destari collect all sorts of things as they wander.
They love bargaining and are happy to share their finds; for a price.

Quirks:
۞ The Destari are led by a female; the Syeira. She is always the one with the strongest Sight, no matter her age.
The ability of Sight does not run in families or when it does there are large generational skips.
It is a lifelong post unless the Syeira appoints a successor herself and steps down.
۞ While the Destari have no problem with stealing from others, they will never steal from each other.
It is strictly forbidden by Kintala, their social rules.

Remember to put ORP, PRP, BRD, or ASK in the title of your RP threads.
ORP - Open RP; Anyone can join, check for any rules in the first post
PRP - Private RP; Only you and the people you invited can RP
BRD - Breeding RP; Required for same-sex breedings to occur
ASK - People must ask for creator's permission to join in RP

If speaking out of character, make it obvious by using brackets like ((this)) or [this] etc.

If you are aiming for Symbiosis (elder stage), please be sure to make a journal and track your RPs.

This is a user-created tribe. Because of this, we are required to meet a monthly RP quota.

It is not a big one.

I am asking every tribe member to post ONCE a month. That's not difficult, yeah?
I won't kick you out if you don't... but one post a month.
It isn't difficult, so most of you should be able to fulfill this easily.
Take a look at the 'On With The Show' tribe ORP, it's there to help you make your monthly quota

Destari language glossary:
Here are some gypsy words you may use in your speech. It is not required, just an option.

general terms:
Syeira - the leader of the tribe, currently Vadoma (played by Kiareii).
Literal translation: princess
Kintala - the social rules, the protocol the Destari live by.
Literal translation: a state of balance

greetings:
Sastimos - a general greeting.
Literal translation: to your health

forms of address:
geyro, geyri - term used for non-tribe members; not considered the politest of terms...
Literal translation: non-Gypsy
chavo, chavi - used to address young tribe members.
Literal translation: boy, girl (respectively)
kokko, beebi - respectful form of address for adults, used by tribe youngsters speaking to older tribe members.
Literal translation: uncle, aunt (respectively)
simensa - a term used between tribe members of equal rank, either as a casual term of endearment or if a name is not known.
Literal translation: cousin

More could certainly be added if these are used regularly/correctly.
