The greatest thing you'll ever learn... Being raised in the 90's [when practically every single cartoon movie was a musical] I've developed a liking to stories put to music. In recent years I've discovered a love for The Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Hairspray, and Wicked (which I was fortunate enough to see<3).
Along with those I also still enjoy some of the older cartoon musicals such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beauty and the Beast, and Cats Don't Dance.
With this being said, I believe the discussion topic is clear enough:
+ What musicals do you like? + Are you a Disney musical junkie? +...etc. ~ ..is to love, and be loved in return

I actually do not like musicals. The ONLY musical that I can claim to love is Sweeney Todd. Other musicals just rub me the wrong way for some reason. The rest are just a bit too cutesy and lovey-dovey, I guess. And Grease was okay.

I've seen two Broadway musicals live. Rent and Avenue Q. Loved them both.
As for being a Disney musical junkie, that I am as well. Seeing I'm going to Disney in July. biggrin

@Koji: It's understandable. Not many people like RENT. To each is own. 3nodding And whenever you should get the chance you must see Avenue Q. It's a great musical.
And just recently, a friend of mine introduced me to a new musical. It's called, "Were The World Mine."
"If you had a love-potion, who would you make fall madly in love with you? Timothy, prone to escaping his dismal high school reality through dazzling musical daydreams, gets to answer that question in a very real way. After his eccentric teacher casts him as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, he stumbles upon a recipe hidden within the script to create the play’s magical, purple love-pansy. Armed with the pansy, Timothy’s fading spirit soars as he puckishly imposes a new reality by turning much of his narrow-minded town gay, beginning with the rugby-jock of his dreams. Ensnaring family, friends and enemies in this heart-wrenching chaos, Timothy forces them to walk a mile in his musical shoes. The course of true love never did run smooth, but by the end of this moving musical comedy of errors based on director Tom Gustafson’s prolific award-winning short film, Fairies, the bumpy ride comes to a heartfelt conclusion. With vibrant imagery, a first-rate ensemble cast and innovative music rivaling the best of pop/ rock and contemporary Broadway, Were the World Mine attempts to push modern gay cinema and musical film beyond expectation."
That's the quote from the website. You can buy it off of Amazon.com, ITunes and a few others.

I've seen multiple musicals. I live in NYC, so Broadway isn't to far away. I started with classic's and such on the AMC. Then I saw 42nd Street, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago when I got older, then Wicked. I sadly haven't been able to go back to the theaters, since money is scares. But I hope to continue seeing musicals and plays in the future.

No offense to anyone who loves musicals, but they aren't my cup of tea. I've seen a few I've liked, however. I took a theatre class as an elective cuz it was the only one left when I went to sign up late for a semester, and we had to go see and write papers on a few plays, and one of them was a musical- The Mikado (I think I spelled that wrong- I saw it several semesters ago... sweatdrop ) but I enjoyed it. At least, I think it was a musical, but I could be wrong? Its the only one of the 4 productions we had to see that I really liked, and it sticks in my head it was a musical...
