> >Kael was up bright and early this day. He was at the edge of the Great Forest and had had a great night of feasting on young rabbits that were just being let out by themselves. This left him with a nice bloody appearance. Bones were surrounding him on the ground and fur was everywhere. Pretty picture, eh? He stands, shaking out what little blood he can manage from his fur and stretches, forepaws pulling his body forward to the ground and hind to the air. It was a nice day out.
With his last thoughts of slaughtering those small, delicate animals he trots off. He was headed just along the edge of town. Fear struck him every moment, he didn't like the town. Didn't trust it and the humans inside. In fact he despised the groups of two-legged beings. He'd had a long history of bad moments with them. His head hangs a moment, remembering family he never knew or knew to well that got hurt or never seen again by the two-legged. Anger bubbled in the back of his mind and he closes his eye's, stopping his trot a moment to get rid of some thoughts.

Elaxi was walking somewhat close to the city's edge, she didn't really like the city, too much noise and light for her. she didn't have a inherent distrust in human's but she didn't overly feel a need to be around them either.
He blue eyes scanning the area El was quite content tonight, she had eaten well despite her bright orange fur being a huge disadvantage when hunting. El wasn't brutal when hunting either, she recognized that she needed to hunt to survive but she never killed more then she needed and she made sure that the animal never suffered for long... if at all. El was all about being proper and kind, she blamed it on her up bringing.

> >Then he saw her. She had a pelt like the very sun's rays of different oranges hues. She was walking just as he was. On the outskirts of town, near the forest. She hadn't noticed him yet from the looks of it and maybe tahtw as for the best. He was covered in the rabbits still warm blood and some bones had seemed to entangle themselves in his chest fur. He hadn't noticed and nor would he have cleaned had he. But, if she looked this way now she'd surely be frightened. Or so his thoughts portrayed to him. He decided to risk it though. "Hey there!" He barked cautiously. Not trying to draw anyone but, her attention.

El jumped at the greeting... if you could call it that. Lifting her head up to see who had yelled, that's when she saw him. His blue-ish gray fur matted with blood and bones. She cringe back. She was unsure of what to do, it would be rude to just turn and run, but she didn't really want to socialize with this.... this.... mongrel.
She attempted to hold her head up high, hoping that he would get that she was better then him. "Hello there" El said to it. Then she decided she should let him know what he had done wrong in his greeting. "You know." she began, When one greets someone else, they really should do it more politely then what you just did. It would also be advisable that you clean yourself up a bit before going out in public." She said this eyeing him up and down, in disgust. There was no way he could be comfortable like that with his hair all knotted and covered in blood. She cringed thinking of her fur in the same state.

> >Kael was taken aback by her greeting, the spiel about his fur was unneeded so he thought. Sure his fur wasn't perfect but, he had just eaten. Should anyone really be shocked. So he wasn't sorry in the least but, he tried to at least get the bones out and succeeded in the few bunny bones and some of the blood. "Better, Princess." He mocked her almost angrily. He was displeased with her already, well her personality that is. He eye's her body like the mate hungry animal he was and she looked to be quite the catch. He smirks to himself at this thought.
"Soo.." He puts on his flirting cap again and steps towards her, one paw after the other in near slow mo, unsure of how her reaction might be. He didn't want her running away just yet. "What are you doing out in these woods?" He asks, smirk growing slightly and eyes, half-lidded. He moved in on her til he was a mere 3 feet away, still far enough that she could run but, close enough that he could get a good smell of her.

El repeatedly stepped backwards as he approached her. She wasn't sure what he planned on doing, and the look on his face was unsettling. Although it did make her smile somewhat when he attempted to clean his fur up a bit after being told he was a disaster. Truth be told there was nothing that could be done to help him but a bath.
Feeling more unsettled by his approach, El began to speak again, he blue eyes glued to him and his progress, "You know it is not polite to approach someone like this, you should be more respectful of personal space." El was trying to keep a sturdy voice, she didn't want him to be able to tell that he was making her uneasy. She had to insure he still knew that she was better then him.

> >Kael glares at her. How dare she tell him how he should act and why on earth was he listening!? He pauses in his step and looks down at his mangy looking fur. "Polite?" He asks. His tone was dry and uncaring. He had heard a slight giveaway of her nerves but, didn't act upon it. He was a savage but, he knew he hda to treat women at least sort of differently because they were the reason he walked this earth at that very moment. He thinks about his Mother and smirks. She was a brute. His entire family was and he was no different. "Think you're so high and mighty, eh?" He asks. Staying the distance but, pacing to her right a bit, eying her angrily.

El felt a little uneasy now and she was more focused on his angry voice then hiding her obvious discomfort. " I do not think I am high and mighty, I just think I am better then you." She wasn't sure that this was a good thing to say to him but at least she was being honest.
She was really unsure about what to make of him. She wasn't sure if he was truly a danger, or if he was just a little crazy. Would he really hurt her, or was he just trying to make her nervous.

> >"You." He glares at her a growl entrancing him a moment before he catches the brutally sharp-edged sound. It cut the air around him like a knife and seemed to silence all. "You, think you're better than me." His voice had grown beyond stone cold. Anger bubbled deep within him. He had his pride, his dignity and at this point his Mother's uncaring temper. He gets closer now, no longer respecting her space. "Why!?" He barks at her, deep, loud, and strong. "Why, because you're clean!" He huffs at the end of his sentence and had begun circling her. He'd appeared to have lost his mind. "Why! Because you prance here untouched by the real world? Trapped in that bubble of thinking life's great! Thinking you'll always be free! Thinking.. just thinking.." His voices trails off.
He had been yelling, rambling about all the same things. Deep down he knew she was better than him but, wasn't ready to admit that. Instead he chose breaking down. He chose the way his family acted. Instincts messing with his brain and playing with his mind. No doubt he'd lost it.

El stood there blankly she wasn't sure what to say or do. Seeing this dog who was a moment ago so frightening to her, no breaking down. She took a step towards him still kinda nervous that he might snap she didn't want to be harmed by him but seeing him so upset was uncomfortable approaching him.
In the end she decided it would be worse to see him fall apart like he was then to approach and risk injury. So she came to the other dogs side, and nugged him slightly, "You have pegged me wrong, I am not as naive as you think, and my life isn't all that great, but that doesn't mean I can't try to make the world a better place."
She had never tried to make someone feel better before and she wasn't sure that she was going about it in the right way either. She gave him an endearing look.

> > Kael became very quiet, even his heaving had gone. She was getting closer to him and his throat seemed to close. His instincts fought wildly now, killing for a chance to strike, threatening to break loose and unleash themselves upon this young dog. Was she so sure about being naive but, when she nudged him. The touch it sent chills down his hardened spine. His hackles lowered slightly and his head followed. "Do you even know what naive means." He states. His voice rough and resisting. Had it even come close to quivering. Maybe just the slightest.
He turns and gazes to her, eye's gentle and caring but, stance and voice posing different. He really wasn't all to bad. Just a bit rough around the edges. Brutalized when young and brought up to brutalize others. He had one difference from the others though. A heart. He wasn't so foolish as to pass up a dog like this. Whether she was ready to be his or not. He'd find a way to make it so. "I don't need you! You or anyone!" He howls in fury and takes a few steps back. His mind was arguing, fighting him and he struggled by it. Fought to keep top dog. Care didn't exist. Deep inside he had it though.
Was this all just two dogs in one?

El was not completely confused she didn't know what to do, he was confusing her, was he mad and going to attack, but contrary to his voice his eyes said something different his eyes were friendly even caring. She decided to go back to her previous attitude, clearly he didn't deserve her compassion.
She took steps backwards, make the distance between them greater. "Of course I know what naive means you beast." Because of his shouting at her her eyes began to water, she didn't want him to see her cry so she turned slightly, hiding her orange face from him. This was insane she thought why was she still even wasting time around him, she thought to her self.

> > Beast. He was a beast. A cruel animal with nothing but, cruel intentions. So most thought upon first meet. "No, no! You got it all wrong!" He starts. His voice quivered slightly. He'd finally truly lost. His eye's had grown dim, dark and ready to kill. The softer him was showing on the outside only to have the darker, harsher him take control inside. "Mistakes are made so simply when put under pressure my dear girl." He smiles, standing up full and proud. His eye's were on her with that hunger again. He wanted her and he'd have her. He steps forward again, closing the distance once more between them. His paws moved slowly and surely across the debris covered ground.
She was in danger. That much was obvious. His entire body now said it, the softer side had dissipated with the sudden anger and hate he felt towards that word. One single word, just like a snap of the fingers turned him all cold and rotten, violent even.

El could tell that whatever nice thing that was inside of Kael was now gone. She took another few steps backwards, she was worried as he spoke to her was there anyway she could out run him. It may be possible she was a fair amount smaller then him, so maybe she could count on her size and agility to get away.
Without it letting it go another second, she turned... knowing this would be a give away to her plans to escape. Without a second though she darted, not daring a look behind her to see if he was following, she was fairly confident that he was as she thought she could hear his angry paws following close.
She sped up again, beginning to look for a place where she could hide, somewhere small that he wouldn't be able to get in after her. That's when she saw it a small cave that in the area, she knew that there was another exit on the other side, one that he would be able to get into but the entrance on this side was just big enough for her to get into there was no way he would fit.... so she took it and ran. She wasn't sure he knew of the other enterance but she knew that it would take him a long time to get to the other side and by then she would be out and long gone.

> >His chase was over when he spotted the cave. He didn't know to to much about the area but, had used the other side of the cave as a place to spend nights a lone. That angered him more. Thoughts were his enemy at this point a fuel for his anger. "That conniving b***h.." His words were harsh and meant for her to hear whether she did or not. Deep down things started to sort themselves out and when the anger died down a cool depressing sensation swept over the tormented dog and he let go a howl to show his true emotion over the situation but, slipped away. He wouldn't be caught grovelling the afternoon of being pissed off. The anger that would bring on would be worse then the anger just then. In that case she wouldn't get away.
He let her go though and went away. Went to his resting place still covered in mangled rabbit bits and of course lots of blood. "Such a savage." He mutters to himself out loud. It echoed sourly back to him and he lays down to sleep. Night mares soon followed.
