I am trying to hook up my PS3 to the internet through a cord. It always says though error or the IP address is taking to long. Anyone?

r u going through the ps internet conection area? and scanning for a internet source that is wired?

Perhaps you just need to doublecheck that the IP address of your PS3 is typed in correctly on your computer? That's if you're using a wireless router.
