User ImageShe swaggered on untamed paws, occasionaly catching herself on a rock of tuft of grass, sending herself pitching forwards. Her nose was used to being snubbed by now, so much so that it didn't really hurt anymore.

She paused, lifted her head and tail high and breathed in that fresh, salty air. A few days ago her mother and father had taken her to see the ocean and how it had captured her heart. She did not understand how it worked or what it was, but it threaded the air with its fragrance and filled her ears with its distant rumble.

This girl was passion and energy.

Her name was Kirjava and, though she was unaware of it at the moment, she would soon discover the origin of that name and learn of her namesake; a grandmother she would now never get to meet.

The wind brought a flurry of petals scattering through the air above her head and, with a carefree laugh, she gave chase, leaping and bounding across the sand.

Lost.

He was lost, alone, and quite frankly, scared out of his mind as he ran through tall grass. Wide, frantic eyes looked left and right for some sort of landmark he could recognize, but nothing was familiar. Panic began to mount as the young male rushed through the dried savannah grass; not even the scents of the area were familiar, and he could have sworn the air... smelled salty, which was without a doubt, something he'd NEVER smelled before.

The more he discovered, the more nervous he grew, and the more nervous he grew, the more desperate he became. Dhaifu had woken up to find both Kipepeo and Do'al gone, which... honestly, shouldn't have been a bad thing, because Dha didn't even really LIKE the pair, but they were familiar by now, and they were something he KNEW.

He had no idea how to cope with being alone; he was going to die, without a shadow of a doubt.

The pair of lions had really... been able to pull a stunt on the poor pink male; not only was he lost, alone and scared witless, but he was merely a shadow of the lion he'd been before they'd kidnapped him. Dhaifu couldn't even really recall his parents. He had a vague hint of an idea of how his mother had been... of how his homeland had been, but he was starting to think that it had all been a dream.

When the scent of a nearby lioness hit his nostrils, he found himself veering towards her. However, in his blind panic, he snarled patheticaly and pounced out of the grass, no doubt aiming an attack at Kirjava. Mostly because... this was how he'd been taught to deal with others by Do'al. He was clinging to anything vaguely familliar, and attacking seemed like a good idea at the time.

The sea was...growling today? Was that normal?

She blinked her vibrant eyes and turned towards the sound, realising at the last moment, that it wasn't the sea at all, but a lion! Oh no! Was there someone else here? Someone mean? Or was it a sibling playing a trick?

The next moment brought an answer to her question. A stranger. A growling, pouncing stranger!

She was so surprised that she barely had time to evade and as she bounced sideways to avoid being flattened, she found her paws tangling and the next moment brought her tumbling to the ground. She felt the weight of the pouncer on her back and gave a loud squeal.

"Get off me, or else!! Argh this is so not cool!"

Claw at the face, the face!

The words seemed to resound within his skull, and the timbre was distinctly familiar. He could recall how Do'al had trained him to go for the eyes of his victims, and that's just what Dhaifu did. He extended his claws and tried to aim a hit at the girl's face, aiming for her eyes.

He'd missed his first attack, but that was fine - he was going to get her, for no other reason than the fact this... was familiar and he could deal with familiar well enough. It was as if he were a robot, built to follow orders. Unfortunately, Do'al's words were the only ones he could remember and such, he followed them, even with the devil of a lion long gone.

His next pounce was successful, but as he lifted his arm to aim his final hit at her face, her voice cut through the haze of his mind. Confusion and fear shone within his eyes once more and he looked hesitant, even within as powerful a position as he was. His paw remain in the air, with extended claws, but he wasn't moving.

"Wha-wha...what?" his voice croaked lamely from his perch on her back. It sounded unsure, as if he had no clue what he was meant to do. She was telling him to stop, but Do'al would have urged him on. What was it he was supposed to do?

Fear. Was this fear? This pounding in her chest? This heat in her veins? This uncontrollable pant and blurriness of vision? It was an odd sensation but one that she hated instantly. Kirjava was a sweet child and innocent, too. She didn't want to feel this way and she certainly couldn't understand how anyone else could make her feel this way.

She tried to wriggle free, taking advantage of his sudden break in...what...attack? And then his voice sounded and she fell quite still, breathing rasping in her lungs.

She tilted her head a little further around, forgetting momentarily that she probably should have been thinking about protecting her eyes at that moment in time and not really looking at who had attacked her. "What?" She repeated somewhat dazedly. "Um..hello? What's wrong with you? You scared me half to death with that little stunt of yours. Uh...you gonna let me up now?" Her ears fell flat against her head and the curly tuft of hair fell straight across her eyes, blocking her vision almost entirely.

Irritated, she jerked her head up to clear her vision again, finally seeing him properly for the first time, and boy did he look odd...

That look on his face right there. She'd never seen anything like that before.

"Uhh, are you alright?"
