Some bits and pieces of info about the world.

General Geography

Muranthia is a continent and a nation within itself on the planet known as Lytheria. It’s a fairly large area over all, and it has no direct neighboring nations. Kurtyrins and Akarmen have roughly equal amounts of land, with the former having control of the east and the latter having the west. Nakadrak’s only piece of land is its city.

Three large islands are found off the coast of the mainland, though only two of inhabitable. Urketh Isle, in the southwest is too rocky to have much settlement there.

Aside from the three capitals, there are a number of cities, towns, and villages spread throughout the land. Villages are not shown on the map, but there’s a good amount of them around.

Technology

The technology in Muranthia is a bit odd to think about. It’s somewhat pseudo modern in a way. Cities, and a good portion of the towns have electricity for lighting and for a few other simple appliances. And there’s some basic indoor plumbing for the more populated areas as well. The main mode of transportation in this land are horses, or Kulgenki if the Humakin is able to ride them. A great deal of their technology also relies on magic.

Guns are available, but they’re rather primitive compared to what’s on earth. So most weaponry tend to be what would be found in days long past.

Magic

Also a number of things in the world are powered by magic. Humakins are capable of handling magic as long as the have awakened their Kulgenki. Even so, not all Humakins manage this, as it does take a good amount of practice to do practical things with magic. Seeing how those sorts of skills aren’t inherited from their Kulgenki.

The War

The nations are definitely at war, but things are a bit slower paced than what we might be used to. Both Jaoren and Nameh have a very long lifespan... both being of elves and all, so they take their time to decide what the next move shall be.

Right now, things are at a bit of a stalemate. The last time full-out war with constant battles was 50 years ago. Things are not at a cease-fire by any means, as little skirmishes happen here and there. It's more of a stare down to an extent, as the sides are awaiting the next move, as if playing chess.

Language
Nearly everyone on Muranthia speaks "common" so generally speaking everyone can understand one another. However, there are a few other languages floating around.

Elves have Elvish, Dwarves have Dwarven, Orcs and Goblin can speak Goblin, and there are a number of dialects of Bestarin amongst Anthros.

Astronomy

In terms of placement within its solar system, Lytheria is roughly the same distance from its sun as Earth is from ours. At night, when its clear enough and during certain times of the year, 7 other planets can be seen. Worin, Pluthos, Quinne, Nemobi, and Verrio are the names of these planets.

There are two moons that orbit around the planet. One is the larger, silver Lycosa, while the other is a smaller and much darker Nuibos. Nuibos, most of the time, can't really be seen. But its there. Lycosa is the moon that influences Lycanthropes. Whether or not Nuibos has any influence on them, is unknown.

Some people believe that Kagin resides in the shadow of Lycosa, while Hikynti takes his home in the sun (hence the reason why people believe the two are fighting whenever an eclipse happens).

Education
The majority of Muranthians are capable of reading and writing, though there are always exceptions. In general, children will start out learning the basics of mathematics, history and geography of Muranthia (with a touch of world geography), Kulgenki, and science and magic. Some children will stop their education there and start learning a craft (taking apprenticeship basically), while others will go on to higher education. This depends on the funding they are able to expend, as well as the wishes of both the parents and the child themselves.

Currency
There are some slight differences between Kutyrin and Akarmenian currency, but for the most part they're the same. Here's a quick conversion tree.

1 Pla>50 Gold>100 Slin>150 Copra

All currency comes in the form of coins. Plas are practically white in color, gold is... gold, Slin is more grey, and Copra is brownish.

For abbreviations
Pla = pp
Gold = gp
Slin = sp
Copra = cp

Some average costs of various things
Pint of ale: 1gp
Average meal: 3gp
1 night in an inn: 7gp
Horse: 3pp
Small house/Apartment: 6-7pp

other

A wide range of normal animals live on the continent. However, there are no actual animals that come from mythology that aren’t Kulgenki. So as a result, Humakin may have pets or raise animals for various reasons.
