The rescue mission for Seung takes place inside the palace compound where she has been living for the past two weeks. Nimaina's gate opens on the far east side of the compound. Roughly a third of the complex is buildings and paved courtyards. The rest are gardens and wooded areas with brick pathways, some fenced in. While the most of the buildings are one story high, the walls surrounding the compound are three stories. A connected pond and lake on the eastern half of the complex turn into a stream running along the southern wall and into the main courtyard of the palace itself.

Rules:

Characters may make one move and any actions during a post, or make two moves (running). Movement is halved in wooded areas.

There will be regular updates on the current time through Nimaina's alert-bracelets.

Each Fa'e will start with 15 health. During an attack, each party will roll one 8 sided die. If the attacker's roll wins, the difference between the two rolls are taken for the amount of damage dealt. Not taking a move action for a post turn will restore five health.

If a Fa'e's health is reduced to zero, he/she will be rendered unconcious until assisted by another Fa'e. If they are not assisted by the next Nimaina-update, they will be taken to a cell where they will revive after a second update and be able to attempt an escape.

By the way, the castle layout is based on Changgyeong Palace's, for those who are interested~

Nima's door deposited the pair into a garden at dusk. To one side was a section of dense pine trees, to the other a brick pathway stretching next to a flower garden. A small building could be seen not twenty feet away and tall stone walls surrounded everything and stretched off into the distance.

Sei was all too happy to step out of the gate - really, things like this gave him the CREEPS - and into the... forest ?

This could be problematic, really. He had no idea where he was even supposed to be going, and could only hope Mik knew better than he did.

His first action, however, was to concentrate - the orbs around him swirled, and focused in a circle around his arms - the area inside it starting to shift with energy.

"...If they use magic, you're going to have to dodge - I can't stop that." He would try to be the focus of the attacks, and let the probably much faster and more agile angel be on the offensive.

"Do you have any idea which way we should be going... ?"

A garden? Shaking off the weirdness of going through the door, Mikhail didn't immediately spend much time taking in his surroundings - just enough to take note of the stand of trees they'd come out next to, and to realize that there was a better place than here, standing right next to a path.

"I don't think we wanna be out in the open," he shared with his partner in a low voice, and headed for the trees. Only once there did he take the time to answer.

"Not really, I just know that she's inside somewhere." It was a frustrating lack of information. "A bigger building, I'd guess?"

Such had not occurred to Sei, but he had to admit Mik was very, very, VERY right - and as such, followed without question, keeping his attention toward the building.

"Maybe..." The angel could fly, but the blonde found himself fearing that he might get shot down by something, so he did not voice it out. "Maybe we should start with this one and see from there..."

((Just so everything's clear - how much physical damage do you want Sei's shields to be able to absorb, Nima ? Once one is shattered, the other also go down, and it will take a few minutes for him to be able to put them back up again.))

Mikhail thought it over for a moment, then nodded. Flying had occurred to him as well, but so had the possibility that someone would see him. He'd do it if it became the best option, but for now he aired on the side of caution. "If we see someone, do we avoid them, or...see if they know anything?"

And he did not mean by asking them politely.

((I'd say 3 points? Not sure exactly how his shields work but I don't want to give an overwhelming advantage.

And while we're on the subject, are there any abilites of Mik's that need to be taken in to account?))

In the garden were a trio of young girls, sneaking out to play at the swing before bed. One stood on the swing while the second pushed and the third waited her turn. The third was quickly becoming bored and spotted Mik and Sei standing by the path.

It was hard to see in the dusk and the distance; she thought they were some of the older girls sneaking out too. Grinning, she told her friends she'd be back in a moment and headed towards the pair.

"I..." He didn't know. He honestly did not know. He would much rather just try to avoid people, but how much longer would this whole thing take if they did ?

"I can paralyze them." He gestured toward his guns, who had not moved from their position as his side. His tone of voice made it known that they where capable of worse than that... but also how he did not seem keen on doing so.

((Nope, I don't think so. n.n))

"Really? Sweet." He would have said more, but that was when the keen-eyed angel caught sight of someone headed their way. He backed further into the trees, and motioned for Sei to do the same. It looked like it was just a girl, but anyone seeing them was a problem. "...You just might need to do that."

Sei ducked along with Mik, hand going to one gun and sliding it out as silently as possible. Hopefully she would go back wherever she came from -- even if he knew it was far from a lethal shot, he was very much not fond of shooting a little girl.

An idea occurred to him then, and it seemed rather dangerous to voice it, with the girl so close, but... "...Wait, this is heaven. right ? Maybe we can just pretend to be dead, and lost, and they might bring us toward the main building then..."

The girl had nowhere near Mik's power's of observation. Of course, a pampered daughter of a noble (even if her father was a low ranking one) didn't usually need to observe anything. So she couldn't tell that the pair weren't other sonyo before they ducked into the trees.

In fact, when they disappeared amid the pines, she thought they were playing a game. "Starting hide and seek before I get here isn't fair!" she called out with a giggle. "Is is Chung Hei, are you playing tricks on me again?" The girl floated over the path saying, "Come back out already."

That would never have occured to him at all, but Nima had mentioned that she would have been able to send someone through if they were dead. And, as Sei pointed out, this was Heaven. Sort of. Maybe. Mik was saving trying to figure that out for later.

"It might be worth a try," he agreed in a whisper while the girl called out to them, keeping his wings tucked as close to himself as possible. As brightly-colored as they were - not to mention large - they made staying out of sight a little trickier. "You first?"

If Sei wanted to give his idea a try, Mik would wait for him to start. The redhead was a terrible liar, and he knew it.

Sei, on the other hand, was a decent liar - even if it was not something he really liked to do - though the first step would be to not look dangerous, and thus he put the gun back in, tucked out his large t-shirt to cover the holsters, let his shields fall down and the orbs slide in the pockets of his cargo pants, and gestured for Mik to hide the knifes. From the sounds of it, the little girl would stumble on them soon enough, and he put on his best confused face.

This could either be easy, or rather difficult.

Hide the knives? That was easier said than done, since he hadn't thought to wear a coat of any kind, but after a quick bit of fussing, he found places for them all in the pockets of his own cargo pants. It wasn't the best solution ever, but it was better than nothing, even if it would make them harder to get to if he happened to need them. Not that he would with a little girl, but still.

That done, he tried his best to at least look blank.

"This isn't funny anymore," the girl called, sounding whiny. She pushed passed a tree and winced at the long needles. "If you don't come out soon I'll just...leave..." she trailed off as she spotted Sei and Mik. It was obvious she'd never seen anything like them before. "Wh-who are you...?" she asked, glancing back and forth between the pair. She rose to the balls of her feet, ready to take off in flight if she had to. Unfortunately, she'd forgotten they were surrounded by trees.
