There's two things I know for sure: She was sent here from heaven and she's daddy's little girl. As I drop to my knees by her bed at night She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and I thank god for all the joy in my life Oh, but most of all For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer; sticking little white flowers all up in her hair; "Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride." "I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried." In all that I've done wrong I know I must have done something right to deserve a hug every morning and butterfly kisses at night.

For once since she'd become an adult, Kaya was out without her Dad. This was still so new to her. She craved the freedom of being off on her own, to do what she wished when she wished to do it. But still she missed her Dad. It would be hard for this Daddy's girl to leave...
With ears back against her head slightly, she pads through a large field, heading for a river to get a cool drink. Almost a full day alone. Her family was together often. The little noise she heard was almost scary. As she reached the water, she dipped her head down and took a long drink.

Dawinah was out plant-searching. She needed a certain kind, and it was hard to find this time of year, and she was absolutely upset with herself that she hadn't stored any before now.
Oh!
"Careful, careful! Don't step on the purple grass! I need that purple grass!" She didn't quite trot towards the strange lioness, but definitely sniffed forward with some speed, eyes focused entirely on the plant and disregarding the stranger.

Kaya's eyes flew open as her head snapped up. She nearly choked on the water. A quick glance down showed she had indeed nearly stepped on strange purple grass. With a little hop she moved away from it.
"I...I'm so sorry! I did not see it!" Now she allowed herself to look. A lioness! A lioness...covered in electrical currents...! Mental note made not to get very close to her.

"No, no, don't worry about it." Dawinah answered, placing her claws around the grass to take it out carefully, "If you're not trained to look, you don't see, and most creatures are not trained to look. Herbs, plantlife, and their abilities aren't something the everyday creature considers." She gently lifted the grass out, and lifted it to place it in a tuft behind her ear.
All the while she'd been talking, she'd been almost-cooing at the grass, concentrating entirely at it. She now finally looked up at Kaya, her pleased smile turning into a confused look, then one an "o" of realization. Dawinah sat down to appear less threatening, "I'm sorry, I startled you! When I get focused, I sort of forget...My name is Dawinah."

Kaya simply stared as the lioness treated the purple grass like it was her infant. Her body was still very much on edge and tense from the previous excitement. Slowly her ears loosened as she watched the strange lioness.
When she finally looked at her and spoke, she realised the electric lioness would not harm her. Not on purpose at least.
