everybody has some way to cut down on energy usage and cutting down on carbon emissions. What are some of your ideas?

when i was studying photosynthesis, we learned about an enzyme that splits water. Well, my idea is if we can mechanically synthisize this enzyme and put it to vehicles. Then we could have hydrogen cars, and instead of having specialized hydrogen fueling stations, we could just take some tap water (or rather perferably some purified water) and then split it on a molecular level, we use the hydrogen and then we expel the oxygen...it's like we become trees...YAY TREES!!! It's just a theory though, i'm no expert, i'm sure that it won't work, but just something to think about.
