The “Dart” Issue Skin Suit
Designated Name: M5 LAS&VS (Mark Five Low Armoured Stealth and Void Suit)
The M5 LAS&VS was designed by a team of Drathonian scientists lead by a committee of Moonie Spies, of which the leader was the somewhat famous Riokrire Sislex more commonly known as Dart Adderman. The suit is extremely light weight and the only armour found on it is thin plates in between the fabric layers. These plates are located above the forearm and upper arm, two plates cover the torso, a chest and belly plate allowing for a full flexibility, the back plate forgoes protecting the spine and shoulder blades, only covering the areas of soft tissue organs and the last series of plates cover the thighs and shins. The plates only protect the wearer from attacks such as a punch or kick or the stun mode of the EV47; and even these attacks can cause pain.
The suit can plug into any number of access ports or nodes on the Moonie, if he has been so modified. These “probes” monitor the wearers bodily functions and through a specific port on the neck, the brain activity. Besides the passive uses of the probes they can administer pain killers and put the spy into a trance like state. The data from the probes is wirelessly transmitted to a small palm sized data pad.
The M5 LAS&VS is capable of space exposure and has an oxygen limit of five hours or if the Moonie is inserted into the trance state this time limit can be boosted to eleven hours. The suit’s material can resist the latent radiation of space but adverse affects have been observed if the wearer is exposed to higher levels for more than an hour.
The utility belt and webbing on the M5 can hold the variety of tools used by the spy; this includes space for a combat knife, a wrench and a bladed weapon of choice. The belt and webbing has one of the Moonies more useful technologies, inbuilt into it are fifty small capsules, these capsules contain a gas that distracts beings in a thirty yard radius. The gas does affect the wearer and Moonie Spies go through extensive conditioning to mitigate its effects.
One last slight point concerning the suit and its interface, is that the probes intrusiveness in interfacing with the Drathonian Moonie’s nodes coupled with the almost traumatizing surgery necessary to implant the nodes have shown some evidence that the use of this type of interface may eventually unhinge the operative.

Appearance:
The suit is a dull black and grey blended colour, simulating shadows. It sticks to the skin except where the plates are, and in those area it only has a slight thickening.
Components:
Body/Skin Suit:
The suit covers all the way up to the underneath the neck. Has no removal parts such as gloves or boots. The suit is insulated from the void of space and nominal levels of radiation. Without helmet, mask and goggle system or belt weighs 4.6 pounds.
Disposable Helmet System:
The Helmets on the M5 LAS&VS are only necessary for void exposure. Due to the suit having a separate mask piece that takes care of life support these helmet are very convenient for stealth operations; there is no need to find a place to store them or for them to take up bulky space. Before being worn they can be folded into a pocket on the utility belt, the max capacity of the pocket is three of the helmets. The helmets seal onto the suit, closing it up and making it possible to travel in the vacuum of space; when removed the helmet’s seal is broken. Once this seal is broken the material dissolves on contact with oxygen. A helmet weighs 0.9 pounds.
Breathing Mask and Flash Goggles:
The mask can be switched into oxygen mode in which it starts to use up the five hour reserve. Otherwise, it filters out bad air and can reduce the effectiveness of the Distraction Gas on the wearer, but no known technology or conditioning can completely negate the effects.
The Flash Goggles enhance the Moonie’s natural darkvision, but as it has been shown that this ability can be exploited the goggles can maintain levels of light as to prevent temporary blindness to the operative. They also have audio sensors that alert the spy to incoming noises such as footsteps. Together the goggles and mask weighs 1.0 pound.
Palm Data Pad:
Receives the signals from the probes and controls administration of pain killers and the trance agent. Very durable and shock resistant, is stored in the utility belt. Has a weight of 1.2 pounds.
Gloves:
The suit’s gloves are part of the M5’s full body or skin suit. Small metal hooks on the glove helps with grip without damaging objects. The gloves do not allow the operative to climb walls. Contribution to suit weight 0.8 pounds.
Utility Belt and Webbing:
Carries the various tools of the spy many of them concealed. This includes the Data Pad, Personal Weapon, Combat Knife, Disposable Helmets (up to three) and the Distraction Gas capsules. Max holding weight for the Belt and Webbing is 25.0 pounds.
Boots:
Like the gloves the boots are seamlessly integrated into the Body/Skin Suit. They are padded to decrease and dull the amount of sound generated when walking and they have a non-clinging sole so they leave less noticeable tracks.
***Other Features/Possible Applications***
The Leader of the Moonie Operative Committee, Dart Adderman, always believed that the nodes implanted into to the Moonie that are required for the use of this suit could be used in directly interfacing with Digital Information Systems. But, due to him being one of the first to undergo the extremely dangerous (the procedure has a mortality rate of 50%, and it was as high as 80% when Adderman underwent it himself) implantation process and there are rumours of certain personal problems in the past, Adderman is seen as unhinged. Higher ups believed that his constant use of the M5 LAS&VS had affected his precariously balanced mental condition negatively and he was recently stripped of rank.
