Faythe was carrying far too much. Far...Far too much. But Nagendra had really not shown any motivation to help him. He supposed he could understand it, a lot of what he had in his arms was food, bottle of various drinks, some milk, large boxes of fruits and vegetables... but to make it more difficult he'd bumped into a friend who had been on his way to return a large bag of books Faythe had leant him, so he was trying to carry them as well... there was also some wallpaper rolls tucked under one of his arms. He was quite a sight with the very large quantity of shopping.... Nage, to his credit was at least carrying a page with some paint trays and some brushes in them, which were an awkward shape Faythe had to concerned, but... he was sure the boy could have managed a little more, then again... he wasn't a big kid.. so maybe not... Faythe didn't want to push the boy too far and have him get hurt.

Negendra didn't really understand Faythe too much... he said he had a lot to buy, then complained when he had to actually carry it. Maybe he should have made more than one trip, he'd said... but he was laughing if he thought Nage'd go with him again. It was enough that he'd wandered out of the house with him once today, in the young scents opinion. There were better things he could be doing with his time than traipsing around after his rather strange guardian. As it happened he had actually agreed to help carry things, which was rare for him... and he felt he was actually doing quite a good job at being helpful. It wasn't his fault after all if Faythe decided to buy a ridiculous amount of bulky things. He was strolling along in front of Fayth, his tail flicking from side to side without too much care that it would be seen...

It was not for the first, and would probably not be for the last time as they walked, that Faythe found himself really wishing that Nage would let him do something about hiding that tail and those horns. He really did stand out something dreadful when they were out and about, he looked almost like some of the classic story book demons... Faythe himself didn't care, but he wasn't sure how the rest of the world might feel about it. "Nage, could you please mind your tail..." he stated, trying not to trip over the waving white appendage.

"Just don't step on it." Nagendra stated as he glanced back at his guardian with a small frown. "It's not doing anything wrong. Just waving thre..."

"Yes, but it's hard to see over this.." Faythe stepped a little to the side as he felt the tail catch one of his legs, "This pile of shopping..." He wanted to lose his temper with the scent just now... but he didn't to scold him in public. He didn't want Nagendra to feel bad really.... or to run away from him or something... he'd still not really heard why the scent had been on his own in the first place. "Just please... be careful okay..."

"Yeah sure..." Nagendra was clearly not listening to Faythe so much as they walked. He just wanted to get home so he could do what he wanted again. What did it matter to him that a fair amount of this shopping had been for the first stage of making his room far more towards his own tastes... but he still wanted to be able to do what he wanted to do. Not what he was apparently supposed to be doing.. he'd actually started to find some people he liked to be around recently after all... so surely he should be trying to see them again rather than doing this...? He swung his tail in utter irritation, and YELPED!

Faythe had managed to catch it with his foot as it whipped right past him on the street, there was nothing to be done, he'd not been able to see it, but still, dear God had Nege apparently felt that!

The bag in Nagendra's hands was flung instantly in some random direction as the scent flailed a little at the sudden pain that shot through his tail. His guardian might not be heavy, but he was heavy enough for that to be decidedly unpleasant. Pulling the appendage free however involved him knocking into Faythe... which, when his guardian was so heavily laden with bags could only be a bad thing...

The end result was that Faythe sat down very suddenly, and quite soundly on his arse in the middle of the pavement. He grunted once as it had hurt a little, not too badly of course, but the rolls of wallpaper instantly started to roll away from him. He'd managed to keep hold of most of the bags of food, but a couple of the bottles of drink had gotten well and truly away from him. as well... he winced slightly... what a scene... he hated causing scenes... At least none of the food had spilled onto the floor...

It wasn't fun being stuck inside a hotel room. Not fun at all. Especially when a young girl was sulking and complaining that she was wasting a perfectly beautiful day by staying indoors, in the bathroom.

What were you doing in there?! Counting your grey hairs?!

Oh, you little bi-- .. I'm only 21! I don't have grey hair, thank you very much!

Needless to say that conversation ended in them deciding to go for a walk. To please the little one and so Elissa could get some air. Maybe that would help - she hadn't been feeling too well lately, but she was alright in the meantime.

The two aimlessly strolled down the street; no particular destination in mind. Callie was actually quiet for once. It seemed as though the only time she was quiet was when she was outside. Every other time, she was being a general pain. Not that Elissa cared; made her life more entertaining .. and kept her distracted as well. Which was definitely never a bad thing. But what was even more distracting than Callie, were the two men - a man and a young boy with a .. tail? - walking opposite to them. The man was carrying a large amount of bundles and the young boy's tail kept getting in the way.

"That's not going to end well."

I guess Callie noticed them, too. "Yeah, no doubt. We should help him with those." Elissa looked at the young girl.

"Pfft! Okay, have fun with that." Giving a toothy grin, Callie laughed at the suggestion.

Elissa was about to make a comment about how the young boy looked to be about her age, but they were both caught off guard when a bottle rolled at Elissa's feet. Looking down at the bottle, then back up to the two characters, both Elissa and Calanthe burst out in a fit of giggles.

"Called it!" Calanthe put her fist up for a pound.

Pound back. Elissa picked up the bottle and started making her way towards the two; picking up the others bottles along the way. Calanthe - following behind - picked up the bag that the younger boy had had, along with the wallpaper rolls.

"You guys okay?"

"Sweet bail!"

"Callie!" Elissa hissed.

Faythe could honestly say that he was left feeling more than a little dazed after that little experience just there. He'd not really been expecting to hit the deck quite so suddenly. He shook his head a little, a hand lifting up to brush through his floppy wine coloured hair as he looked up at the young woman who had come over to help with her rather extraordinarily pale haired little girl. "Hey, thanks.." He stated, looking more than a little embarrassed about the fact that they'd caused these two strangers a fair amount of entertainment. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine though. And... Nage..?" He glanced over at the young boy who was giving him such a dirty look it was unreal, holding his tail.

"That hurt." he stated. Glaring at Faythe as he brushed the end of his tail through his fingers. "You should be more careful you-"

"Nage. Not now." The adult shot the child a warning look and to his surprise the young boy actually shut up for once, usually this sort of thing was dragged out for hours with many loud insults being exchanged before Faythe just started ignoring him. "Will you say thank you now, please..?" He looked up at Elissa and smiled very slightly, and rather sheepishly. "Thanks... we really appreciate the help there... both of us do..."

Nagendra muttered a very surly "Thank you..." to the two who had come over, though he certainly didn't look very pleased about it at all. His face had darkened into a scowl at his Guardians tone, but he was beginning to know what his various ways of speaking mean... that one was the one that meant if he pushed it i public Faythe would stop talking to him for a few hours... and he really really hated it when the older man did that... he really... really seriously hated it.

Shaking his head slightly at the boys tone of voice Faythe pushed himself to his feet with a grimace, he wasn't hurt not really, but he was really going to feel that one in the morning. He brushed himself off and lifted his eyes to the older woman, a slightly less embarrassed expression on his face now. "So, I'm Faythe." he stated, "Here.. let me take those, thanks again..." he reached out a hand to take the bottles she'd picked up for him.

Looking at the young boy, Elissa smirked then handed the bottles to Faythe; leaving her hand extended, "No problem! And I'm Elissa, by the way," she smiled, "It's nice to meet you Faythe." She glanced down at Calanthe for a brief second before nodding to the two gentlemen. Man, this girl needed to learn some manners. However, when Elissa glanced down at Callie, she had noticed that the girl was looking curiously at the boy's tail.

Up until this moment, Calanthe had only met a few others and none of them had extra .. features.

"Oh!" Callie raised the wallpaper rolls to the man with the boy's bag in her other hand, "I'm Calanthe, but you can call me Callie!" A toothy grin danced across her face, then she looked at boy, "What's your name?"

You could see the hesistation in her face, but it was obvious that the young girl was not going to let her curiousity simply slide, "Awesome tail! I wish I had one," She looked behind her, "But .. I don't." Callie smirked, extending the bag that was in her other hand for the boy to take. Unless, of course, he was going to make Faythe carry it.

Calanthe would. She smirked at the thought, silently, of Elissa carrying a bunch of bags as Callie skipped merrily beside her.

Bahaha ..

After just about managing to tuck the bottles into his arm, Faythe reached out a hand and curled his fingers around the womans, "Elissa, right.. I'll have to remember that.." he stated with a small grin lifting his lips, "I'm Faythe, It's nice to meet you to... thanks again for the help.. seems we're having quite the day here already.." He flicked his eyes down to Nagendra, but the boy was ignoring him for the most part, clearly more interested in talking to the white haired girl than he was to listening to anything the adults said...

With another thank you, he took the rolls of paper from Calanthe, letting go of Elissa's hand so that he'd be able to hold them. "How's your day been..?" He was going to be standing here for a little adjusting his shopping, so it couldn't really hurt to talk a little...

"I'm Nagendra... I guess you can call me that..." The draconic child smiled slightly, "Faythe calls me Nage... but I'm good with whatever..." he wasn't really fussed... "Thanks.. for liking the tail I guess..?" That was a weird compliment, and he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to say in response to that... but at least she wasn't saying that she didn't like it, or stepping on it like his stupid guardian had... he did take the bag of her with a rather softer than it had been smile on his lips now... he could be friendly.

"Thanks for the help," his voice wasn't so grudging now... she had rather pretty hair... "That was nice of you... I like your hair... it's sure pretty... it looks likes this snowy white stone I have on a necklace in my treasure box..." It was a piece of pure white snowy quartz... it was really pretty, and it did remind him of her.. or she of it.. he couldn't tell which.

"What are you then..? You look more like the other people than me.. but you smell different..." It was true... she had the same lingering aroma that others of their kind seemed to have... it gave her away... thought it wasn't easy to place what she was past his own rather heady scent... what he could smell was rather sweet though... he liked it...

Smirking, Elissa watched as the man adjusted his things, "It's no problem at all." She stopped and laughed a little at his next question, "It's been ..." she looked at Callie, "... interesting. Still adjusting to things. I'm new here, so it's quite the new adventure." As she eyed the amount of shopping her was carrying, she began to wonder if he was going to be able to make it home with all those items. Maybe there was a local store or something that would be willing to give Faythe an extra bag or two.

"Did you want any help carrying those? Maybe one of the local shops would be willing to give you some more bags, or a cart." She giggled at her own joke. Wow.

Calanthe liked this boy. He complimented her on her hair and he had a neat tail. Grinning, she nodded, "I'll call you Nage, then! And I don't mind helping people; you guys looked like you were having a hard time anyways." A genuine smile tugged at her lips.

"A treasure box? That's so neat! I wish I had a treasure box." Callie grinned widely; grabbing a piece of her own hair, she began to twist it, "I'm called a .. scent child, I think? I dunno, someone told me that's what it was but they said I looked and acted pretty normal compared to some others." She paused, "And Elissa always tells me I smell like the beach. So, I'm vanilla-coconut .. I think. I dunno, I like the smell! It's pretty."

“Ah don’t worry, I can probably manage...” Faythe stated, the strange little buzz of male pride he had not really making him want to admit that he was struggling with the things he was carrying. Of course, it didn’t help that it was a woman who had offered him the help...he’d always been very, very slightly awkward when it came to ‘girls’ and right now he didn’t want to look any more lame than he probably already did. However... the notion that hadn’t occurred to him was how much worse he’d look when he managed to dump everything all over the floor again in a repeat performance of the previous fall, trying to carry too much was never a good notion, and honestly, what was the hope of Nage being any help at all...? Tinier than ever now the pretty little white haired child had caught his attention it seemed. He might not understand the reasons behind it, but Faythe had noticed Nage certainly had a liking for pretty things, and girls fell into that category as much as everything else.

Oh hell.. .pride aside...”If you could hold onto a couple of the paper rolls that would really help actually... I hate to ask but...” he really was going to end up looking like a complete loser if he just fell over and dropped everything again. He really didn’t need that. “As a thank you how about when we get to the cafe I run I bring you both a slice of cake and a nice drink or something..?” He smiled. “I’m fairly new here myself as it happens.” It couldn’t hurt to try to make friends now, could it..?

Nage couldn’t help but smile a little more at Callie’s fairly excitable reaction to his treasures... it pleased him, he loved attention, and he loved his treasures, so it was only natural that he would want others to react with some measure of the same excitement to them. The smile only widened as well when she explained what she was to him, so they were the same..? That was nice to know... he liked it when he found people who were the same as him. It was much better that way. “I thought you smelt kinda sweet...” he stated with a glanced over at her once again. “Vanilla would do that... and coconut as well... Faythe makes a coconut cake, I guess that’s where I sort of knew the smell from, it’s nice though, it matches your hair, white.” He couldn’t smell it too well, his own scent was rather strong after all, but what he could catch of it suited her he thought. “I’m a scent child as well... I guess that’s why I look different...” he gestured to the horns he had, and shifted his tail slightly from side to side as an almost absent reaction. “Serpents Kiss though, apparently...” Faythe had found a diary with a little information on him when he was younger in one of his boxes of stuff. “I like the name... it sounds like something exotic and expensive...” he chuckled quietly, it also sounded dangerous, and that appealed to his mind to some degree...

As Nagendra heard Faythe offering tea and cake to Callie’s guardian person he smiled a little more. “He does make good cake... if your lady wants to come back with us I’ll make sure he lets you try the coconut one... if you want of course...” Manners, he needed to remember his manners. He liked Callie... she was fun so far, and she seemed like she could be a good friend, much better than some people he’d met before.
