"Are you sure your mother would approve of this?" he'd asked shyly. His response had been. "Nahyay, Csoa, you young fool! Mother is not going to find out! I do this all the time; it's a perfectly safe thing!"
Csoa had smiled and nodded. By the end of the day, they were both liable to be caught and only one of them would be scolded. Csoa had half a mind to think that he would not be that predator to receive a verbal bashing.
Still, it was nice to see Hanyu doing something other than making hell for his poor sister. It was a miracle that young woman had grown up to be something of status. Csoa was sure he'd be insane by now.
As Hanyu trotted ahead, Csoa stopped to look over a few things. He checked the rocks for deadly snakes, and the trees for any leopards. Hanyu's mother had taught Csoa one or two things. The first was that leopard's could be deadly. The second was that leopard's could be deadly even on three legs.
"Oi! Csoa!" There was a firm bump in his side and he glances up. "What'd I tell ya? Hot stuff on the horizon!" There was a wink from his far too 'active' male friend before Hanyu went bounding forwards.
The striped lion made his way with an arrogant trot and a broad smile towards an older lioness of a greenish-teal and bearing tan markings.
"Hey, chica! How's it hangin'?"

She hadn't been wandering far, this green and tan lioness who was so quickly spotted on the horizon. Her watering hole had been decidedly too occupied for her morning swim so the lioness had wandered around, trying to find a better spot. She had no idea that she was so close to a pride lands, or in the range of two young males seeking adventure.
Vizuri'maana turned her head at the sound of footsteps and waited for the young, striped male to reach her before replying. "Why hello yourself!" she said cheerily with a smile. "It's hangin'...good?" She hadn't heard that expression before. Oh well, she tried at least!
She could see that there was another male not far behind him, and she smiled at him over the white boy's shoulder. "Hello!" she greeted him as well.

Hanyu grinned out of pure joy and knocked his friend in the shoulder. A whisper followed with the words, "Hahah, she likes me. Told ya this would go well!" There was a wink to go with that exclamation before he bounded the rest of the way to the lioness.
Thinking this would get interesting, Csoa broke into a light jog before he caught up to Hanyu. Luckily, the other feline hadn't yet made a fool of himself.
"And what's a fine young chica doin' out here on such a lovely day?" Hanyu asked as he settled onto his feet with a flicking tail and a cocky smile.
Csoa preferred to stand and he bowed his head lightly towards the lioness. "Hi." His voice was soft, mellowed and held no agression whatsoever. Hanyu called it the 'pushover gene'. "It's nice to meet you, miss."

Zuri, the poor lioness, was utterly clueless as to what the young males' plans were, and how she fit into them.
She blinked at the strange name, but smiled anyway. "Just walking around; it is such a lovely day for a walk, don't you think? Lots of sunshine and a nice breeze."
She grinned back to the other male. They were definitely male, but looked...different. Well, the shy one looked definitely like a lion, she told herself, but the other one had another element to him that made him...oh, she had no idea what kind of creature he was.
"It's nice to meet you as well! I'm Vizuri'maana, but you can call me Zuri if you'd like."
